For years I have traveled all the way to Milwaukee, WI to get a decent haircut. It is not easy for a white guy to find a reputable barber that is not scared of an electric hair clipper and can give you a good fade. In any event, I made the decision to give Barbershop 644 a try and I am not at all sorry that I did. Hector cut my hair, and he is a true professional at his craft. No more long drives up north for me! Thank you Hector.

First haircut here in north Chicago and I Unilocaled around and found this place .
So I showed up and Marcelino was able to squeeze me in for a haircut. I must say he took his time and made sure it was taken care of the right way. They know what they are doing and I can say I found my haircut place around here. Just a heads up call and set a appointment up before coming in !

Just got out of the chair with Hector, called in late for an appointment and was told he was all booked up but if he had any openings they would call me right away. Not 10 minutes later I got a call from him saying he texted his 3:30 to make sure they were coming and they canceled so the chair was all mine if I wanted it. Got a high skin fade and saying its awesome wouldn’t even describe how good he is. Fantastic skills, awesome atmosphere, and a great attitude. Can’t say enough good things about hector and the shop. Will be my only barber from now on and will be having all my boys go to see him for an amazing cut. Tip the man well, he deserves it!

Hector is a great guy and an awesome barber! These guys truly care about the quality of their work and way undercharge for how much time and effort they puts in. I’d pay double what they charge, so I always try to tip big. Try to make an appointment a day or two in advance, it’s so worth it!

This place is really, really good. After getting consecutive horrible haircuts at a sports-​themed franchise, I decided to find a neighborhood spot to support the community. I love my haircut and their prices are an incredible value. Go here. You won’t regret it.

I went to a barbershop in Lake Forest by the college (since I am a student), assuming that a student discounted haircut wouldn’t be bad, but I was wrong. After getting my cut messed up, I headed over to Barbershop 644 to get it done right! I give this place a 10⁄10 on all levels from fade to friendliness. Hector and Marcelino are true homies that just want to give you the best cut for a great price. Tip Well!

Best cuts in town! Marcelino will hook u up with the best fades ever! He loves his clientele and really can make you feel at home while having a very interesting conversation. You feel as if you’ve known him all your life. He loves his job and takes pride in making you look your best, Defenitly worth the wait, or if you want can call ahead and make an appointment when your on that tight schedule. Will leave very satisfied!

Top notch haircut! Hector says «this isn’t where you do hair maintenance, this is like a detail shop that has you looking good when you walk out». Hector is very clean, methodical, and detailed. He takes the time to do it right and has great pride in his work. Also a very nice and friendly guy.

This barbershop was a rare find, let me tell you. Hector is a top notched barber that knows his craft well. Whether it’s with the blade or with the machine, the guy gives each customer 110% with razor-​like precision. Even more, he’s also a down to earth professional that places great value on ensuring satisfaction and building consistency with his customers. I’m usually the guy that sits back and stays silent during the whole cut, but Hector had a wealth of knowledge to share and his positive attitude was infectious. You just can’t go wrong with Hector and Barbershop 644!

Just moved to North Chicago from California for school. Finding a good barber can be a difficult challenge, but my experience here ended my search. Sometimes miscommunication between a customer and any barber can lead to a «bad haircut,» but Hector does all that he can to make sure he understands what you want. The guy knows what he’s doing and offers specials, too! He’s also a dope person to chat it up with. Definitely hit up this place for your next cut.

If u go there Hector can cut u up good May be a lil longer wait but worth the extra wait to get cut by a barber who knows what he’s doing n listens to the customers

Absolutely the best hair cut i have EVER received!!! Was visiting area for my son’s graduation from Navy Boot Camp and dropped in to get cleaned up before the big show. Sat and watched the barber do a pattern cut on a young man, and the only thing I can say is this guy takes his craft and art seriously!!! It was a pleasure to sit and watch someone talented cut hair. As a 2−½ all over, I am not much of a challenge to cut, but even the neck taper and ears were perfect… better than I have ever had…
If in the Waukegan area, I strongly suggest you drop in, watch the show, and get your hair did! This dude can cut some hair bro!!!
