Compliments to the lifeguards and managers (I think they are managers) at Ganster Pool this year. They are enforcing pool rules politely and effectively and doing a fantastic job ensuring the safety of swimmers. I did not go once last summer but went very often the summer before. It seems like there is a new procedure concerning scanning the pool which seems very effective. I did see the guards jump in the pool twice in one day to help struggling swimmers. So, kudos to the guards and the way the pool is being run this year. It’s nothing fancy but it is fun if you like to get some sun and swim.

This pool is the only one in Waukegan, so you don’t have a lot of choices. It has a high and low dive, as well as a kiddie area. It is often very crowded on hot days, though, and some of the people use very little manners. Beware the ghetto factor, but have fun in the sun.
