The deals are great but when it comes to buying used disks or sale items I’ll say you’ll be missing the disk or overcharged. As for calling their customer service forget it they don’t answer or return calls. I’ve had to go back twice to get the disks and now get the overcharge fixed. If your not from the area visit in the daylight hours every time I visited at night the PD showed up in numbers.

The venue is pretty packed with games. Seems pretty popular with families in Waukegan but I just don’t see the appeal. It’s not very clean, the food is subpar and they sell gaming products that aren’t even in working condition.
Someone I work with bought a rumble pack for a N64 from here and was told he couldn’t return it but would be able to get store credit if he did need to return it. He ensured them he wouldn’t be returning it because he needed it for the gaming system. Once he got home the part didn’t even work and he wasn’t able to get his money back.
Any company that sells games and accessories that they aren’t even in working condition and refuse to refund your money is a scam to me.

People’s Choice is a great place! They do a TON for the community and they are GREAT to work with for parties. I would go here over Rick Side or Chuck E Cheese any day. It’s locally owned, but the same person since it opened. The owner, John, is almost always on site.
My only complain was that it was hot in there the last time we went in. And I miss the Gurnee location because we just felt a little safer. But my kids LOVE this location, they have good food, the mini golf is fun and they always have some sort of special!

Crazy amount of videos, all types and genres. They usually have some type of special for the weekdays like Thursdays are a 2 for 1 deal.
Place is huge, partly because the other half is a arcade, where you can rent out the space for parties and such. They also have a snack counter. However I have never eaten or rented it out for a party so I cant comment on that.
I would also be reluctant in asking any of the staff a question as they usually seem to be in a daze and there is always someone new working there.
So strictly for movies on certain days of the week, yes they are very good in that and cheap.

I gotta say this place puts blockbuster to shame as far as selling used videos and video games. I can guarantee renting here is probably great too even though I don’t rent there because they have a huge dvd cleaner and auto buffer. I bought 3 used movies there and they were immaculately clean, gotta love that. The selection of obscure flicks and tv series is unparalleled. They offer a really cheap clearance rack with some decent if not a little odd movies. As much praise as one can heap on a video rental place, I give to this place.
If the Video store was the only thing going on here, that would be good enough, but there is also a huge arcade /​entertainment center on site. If you’ve ever been to Chuckie Cheese, this place kicks the crap out of them. Ten times the amount of games, way better selection and quality of prizes. There is a mini golf course, but I didn’t try that as well as a pizza restaurant that I didn’t try either. I have to admit there is a little bit of a trashy vibe to the place, it is evident that they crammed all this goodness into a place that used to be a really old Walgreens or Ace Hardware or something. What it is lacking in polish it more than makes up for with pure fun factor. Definitely up there with the greats as far as family fun centers.

Great place to rent movies, they still rent some for $ 1. This location also has expanded to take up a whole former grocery store, and has activities for kids frequently, and video games. Nice that a family owned business has stuck around so long.
