We went there in the morning to buy something and the checkout person could not make change for cash. Because they couldn’t make change we had to pay with plastic and the person charged us a 2% fee for using plastic. Accepting plastic is part of the cost of doing business and it’s a joke that they up-charge for that, ESPECIALLY when you have to use plastic because they can’t make change. There are plenty of options for used stuff /antiques and this place will not another penny from me.

I had written a review for this business back about a month ago and it was removed. The owner of this store went to my grandmas house for one item and turned it into his own personal estate sale. He told her that her things weren’t worth much and that he was giving her top dollar(200 $) for thousands of dollars worth of family heirlooms that were my grandfathers. We called to buy the items back the next day and told him my grandma is not in a state of mind to make these decisions and he told us our things were gone and refused to sell them back to us. Considering they weren’t worth anything we are wondering why we couldn’t buy them back. Hmmmm. Very sad situation for our family and we do not support this business anymore.

This antique mall is right across the river from the Waukesha Antiques Mall. My husband and I check this place out a couple times a year and we always seem to find something. However, the last time we went in there were quite a few empty booths and the back section had a lot of really tacky crafty stuff going on(a HUGE no-no as far as I’m concerned when it comes to Antiquing). There were still some great booths though and I’m hopeful that some of the emptiness was just a temporary thing. If you are into antiques it is worth the drive out to Waukesha to check this and the few other places nearby out.
