I came here to try an adult ballet class thinking I’d like to add a few more classes to my weekly schedule and was hoping for a bit more than what I experienced. The instructor that met with me was very friendly and was able to answer all of my questions about the various classes and such. The ballet instructor for the evening, who was actually filling in for the regular ballet teacher, was very friendly, energetic and knowledgeable. I thought the warm-ups were a bit fast and short as I personally prefer to spend a bit more time before we start jumping and such. I thought the floors were a bit sticky and somewhat dirty, along with some cracks in the tile which made it a bit frustrating trying to turn or slide because your feet would stick, and I know I can do single pirouettes if not doubles! I’m lucky to be dancing on floating wood floors at my other studio so when I came here and danced on cement my knees were not happy with the jumping and pounding I did on them. Lastly, it’s really hard to spot(when turning) when there’s nothing to spot! the walls were blank except for the windows.(which you can spot if you’re dancing in that direction sure) The class size for this adult ballet was small which was nice for getting more personal attention and again the instructor was very motivating and knowledgeable so that was a plus.

It has been a few months, the recital was excellent and my daughter is still taking even more dance classes at Aspire Dance during the summer. She is thriving and is all sad there are no classes in August yet excited for the Fall to restart. Mandy Carlisle has been an inspiration for my daughter. Every time she has some free time she is stretching, practicing their routine or coming up with dances using all the moves she is learning at Aspire Dance.
