Barbershop Salon for Men

My 2 boys and I have been getting our haircut here since they opened a couple years ago. Unfortunately after today it will be our last visit. When they first opened they changed $ 11 for a haircut which was very reasonable considering The Barbershop employed experienced stylists who did a great job. After the first year they hiked their rates to $ 12, and now to $ 14 after January 1^st. A close too 30% increase over the original price to me is unjustified considering I am getting nothing more for their services since they opened.
I don’t know about everyone else, but my employer hasn’t given a 30% increase in pay over the last 2 years and most business leases on property are for 5 years, so they haven’t had an increase in rent or expense. I can see if the money would be needed for improvements, but there hasn’t been any over the last two years. The brown paint of the walls is chipping all over, the white baseboards are discolored, seating is very limited (I usually have to stand, and no new leather chairs have been provided) and the peanut cans are all rusted from the inside.
The worst part is the stylists employed here don’t see a dime from the rate increase as they are hourly employees and do not rent a chair. I will be bringing my business elsewhere in Waukesha as it appears the owner is just trying to pad their pocket from a now established business without increasing the value of their service they provide.

Hands down– the best place for a men’s haircut in Waukesha. $ 12 (or $ 12.50 charged) gets you a cut, shampoo with a hot towel on your face, back massage, and style. The larger chains charge at least as much and all you get is a quick cut then walk out with clippings all over your forehead and neck. Even without an appt i’ve never had to wait more than 15 min, but if you do they have peanuts, coffee, super comfy leather chairs, and a good selection of magazines. Each station is a private walled-​off cubicle with a tv you can tune to any channel. This has been my go to place for years.

Emily cuts my hair. She is great. The staff is all very knowledgeable & upbeat. Everyone does a great job-​and you can’t beat an $ 11 haircut! You can also make an appointment if you don’t want to wait, which I like a lot, although I really have never had to wait too long. Shop is clean, and I have never had a bad experience here!

Haircut for $ 11 cash. Cut, wash, and a short back massage! I recommend going on weekdays as there is no wait. If you do end up waiting, they have coffee, magazines, and peanuts to enjoy on their leather sofas.
They also have a small tv in each booth, but I prefer to chat up the stylist instead of being absorbed into ESPN.
