Worst place to go on a date at… Walked in and wanted to sit down. Found no one to help us out the bar so we had to stand around for a few minutes before we finally got the bartenders attention and he said we just seat ourselves. To keep this short we waited around 30 minutes before we got service. There was only two other tables with people at. We ordered mussels to start then ordered Shepherd’s pie(vegetarian) and County Clare Meatloaf. The mussels were good, nothing special. When we got the entrees the meatloaf was very bland and the Shepperd’s pie was frozen in the middle and hot on the outside. It seems as if they just microwaved the food. We showed the waitress the frozen center and she took it back and had them make another while I finished my meatloaf. Once finished they brought the shepherd’s pie back, it was luke warm. I’m not sure if they just put some new potatoes on and threw it in the microwave or just heated up some more of the middle of the pie. I would have rate this place a 0 if possible. They seemed to be clueless and could care less about service. Hopefully they invest in something other than a microwave.

Yum! Meat, potatoes, carbs, and beer are always a good idea. I just stopped in here for an early dinner with the fam and we all left very happy! We were the only ones in dining room when we came in but more patrons had arrived by the time we left. The dining room sits right on the intersection of two streets in the downtown Waukesha area so that makes for a nice view. We started with Irish soda bread and Root Soup all around. The bread was dense and delicious, especially with a little butter on top; and the soup was rich, vegetarian, gluten free, and filled with awesome umami flavor. I ordered a Shepard’s pie which tasted exactly like it ought to. The beef was beautifully tender. We ordered pieces of carrot cake, flourless chocolate cake, and bread pudding for dessert to go. The bite I had of my sister’s flourless was perfect.. . I have yet to sample my bread pudding but I will make an edit once I do. I definitely want to go back to try some of their hot cider drinks and beer cocktails. Also, our waiter was a lovely, gracious guy who put up with our shenanigans. An all-around great little spot!

Wow. Finally! The food can get pricey here if you’re ordering the Irish Specials, but it’s definitely worth it. Drinks are great and bartenders are very friendly! I can’t wait to come here in Fall/Winter and sit in the snug area by the fireplace!

I went to the Clarke Irish Pub for dinner with my family, and it was great! I got there early and chatted with the bartender, and he was very friendly. They have a great bar selection. Our server was really nice and had great recommendations for us. My mom and I had the chicken pot pie special, my dad had the shepherd’s pie, and my aunt had the Kinsale sandwich. We also shared the smoked salmon appetizer, which was the absolute best thing we had. The pot pie was delicious too, but that appetizer was fantastic. I would certainly go back the next time I’m in Waukesha.

This is really my second review. My first was under the Clarke Hotel. My wife and I love this place. Great beers on tap, fireplace, quiet, clean, nice ambiance, a place for adults to imbibe, talk, and grab a tasty bite. My in-laws even liked it and look forward to returning.

Stopped in the first time just for drinks and dessert. It was mid-winter and the warm drink menu was calling my name. We sat at a cozy table near the fireplace in the bar area. The bartenders were incredibly attentive, recommended drinks and kept an eye on us even though we were tucked in the corner. We split a piece of flourless chocolate cake that was killer. Second visit we came for dinner. We split the Irish Chips with the sweet curry sauce. The chips are perfectly crispy on the outside and the curry sauce was fantastic. My dad, self-admittedly adverse to «risky» options, tried it and said next time he’d order the curry for dinner! I had the Chicken Shannon appetizer for my meal. The chicken was perfectly breaded and incredibly light consider it was fried. Made me take note of their fish fry as I’m sure it’s just as good! My fiancé had one of the burgers which was delicious. Mom had the shepherd’s pie which was delicious. The flavor of the filling was amazing and the mashed potatoes were incredibly lightly whipped. We all agreed we’d be back again. We opted for a whiskey flight for dessert. They’ve got a lengthy list of whiskeys to choose from and for something like $ 20 you can try 3. Our bartender was extremely knowledgeable and helped us get to a decision of which 3 and then talked us through each as we tried them. The staff is incredibly well-trained, knowledgeable and just the right amount of helpful and attentive. I really hope this place is able to stick around as the food and service will have me returning!
