I highly recommend IT Connect for your data recovery needs. Elaboration — Five years ago, I kicked my old Mac PowerBook G4 off a coffee table. At the time, I wasn’t too distressed. I was very happy with the ease and speed of service. It took a bit of looking to find the place, they are located in the back buildings behind Geiger Awards and Audio ventures, adjacent to the lumber yard. I got somewhat lost getting there, but once I called and asked for directions I was able to locate the building. I was impressed with the appearance; it looked more like a doctors office than the mess of cords and equipment that I am used to seeing in places like this. The staff was courteous and professional and told me they would be done with diagnostics later that same day. My laptop had not been starting up since it was dropped and I suspected that the hard drive was damaged, which they confirmed with the diagnostics. They estimated 24 – 48 hours to have the computer repaired and reloaded onto a new hard drive, which I agreed to. They called me the next day and had it done and all of my documents and pictures were back on it on the new hard drive and it was ready to go. I am very happy with the experience and will go back here the next time that I need computer service.

I read a few posts from disgruntled people and want to dispel the poor reviews based on my own experiences. They told me exactly what my options were, when they would be done with the work and the price range for the service. All were spot on and my PC was returned with a smile. They are good at what they do, and have the patience of saints.

This is an update. My negative review of IT Connect was addressed by a personal email and phone call from the owner. He indicated that the way the customer service and situation was handled was unacceptable. He said the incident was discussed with other employees and he offered to refund the service cost of my work. I accepted and the refund was credited back. The phone call with him was cordial and he apologized again for how things were handled. This is how I expect problems to be addressed and found the follow up to be on par with what consumers should expect when something doesn’t go right. Kudos to Jason to handling this part of the transaction in a most professional way.
