Lee John’s Catering

We cannot thank everyone at Lee John’s enough for the wonderful job for the food at our wedding. It was just wonderful!!! We had our wedding at the Schlitz Audubon Nature Center with approximately 160 guests. We heard nothing but praise and how delicious and beautifully presented the food was. Truly wonderful job!!! We had 4 appetizers, a salad, duet plate and vegetarian option, dessert bar, coffee and tea bar and even late night snacks of chips and guacamole and mini sandwiches. I personally didn’t try the desserts, because I have a gluten/​soy/​dairy allergy, but I heard that the cream cheese stuffed strawberries and the tirimisu were out of this world!
I was impressed with the care and diligence put into our meals as well as all the guests meals. I heard the beef tenderloin and Phyllo dough stuffed mashed potatoes were both phenomenal and beautifully presented! My wife and I had the sicilian stuffed chicken breast dish. I was impressed at how Kim and Chef Louis and Lisa were able to tend to our food allergens. We asked for gluten/​soy/​dairy free on some menu items, and the staff actually brought us out our own tray of appetizers, specially prepared meals and set out almond milk for us at the coffee/​tea bar. Pretty awesome! They really went above and beyond!
The communication from Kim in setting up everything, from the initial tasting, the the choosing of desserts and arranging for the final headcount, seating charts, etc was top notch! Great service overall and the food was amazing! I highly recommend using Lee John’s for any event needing catering.

Lee John’s did our catering for our wedding and it was AMAZING! Our guests were coming up to my husband and I raving about how good the food was! We had around 300 guests fed buffet style and they were efficient! The staff was so friendly and were always asking if we needed anything or if they could get anything for us – it was fantastic service. I would recommend Lee John’s to everyone I know!

Lee John’s did an amazing job catering my wedding! The food was amazing and our guests had only wonderful things to say! They offer a very unique and wonderful option of having a duet plate of any combination of entrees and tons of hors d’oeuvres to choose from. They also cook all their food on site. Their waitstaff was very professional and flexible on the wedding day in helping with my dessert table. They were reasonably priced compared to most and included linens and other perks without charge since we were first to book that date. My only criticism is towards the event coordinator we worked with. She was not very good at returning emails/​phone calls, and did not accurately have some plans documented. I was told to make a schedule of times when I wanted serving and other details to occur, and this was clearly not followed. I do not think this is the fault of the event staff because it did run very smoothly on the day of the wedding, but I just wished I didn’t waste my time making an elaborate schedule. Not sure who ran the show the day of the wedding, but it was not in connection with what I arranged with the original coordinator. The food made this a 5 star rating which I think is most important in a wedding caterer. The preparation and coordination prior to the wedding could use some improvement, but the staff the day of made up for it! The quality of food is unmatched by any other wedding caterer I have ever tasted and our guests agreed!

Lee John’s catered my wedding; everything was FABULOUS from the presentation to taste to service. Would highly recommend to anyone!
