Great store but don’t fall for there rebate, it’s a in store credit which they could have given that at time of purchase. There rebate is a scam to get you to buy more stuff from them.

I can’t believe that any Menard’s is on my go-​to list of home improvement stores. I’ve never been a huge fan of Menard’s but this store is worth the trip. It’s HUGE and they have a moving walkway instead of a proper escalator. Totally unnecessary, but cool none the less. As any Menards, you have your lumber yard, your garden center, and your guy-​centric grocery department. You gotta love any store where you can buy a Japanese techno-​flush toilet, 18′ long treated lumber, and a one gallon can of baked beans all in one trip.
I’ve found the employees here to be generally more helpful than at other stores. The selection here is probably the best and then of course there’s that moving walkway. Why only three stars? Like all Menard’s it’s pretty cluttered. There is less stuff in the aisles due to the ginormous size of the store, but there is still a lot of «randomly placed» crap. The parking lot at this one is not proportional to the size of the store. That is especially apparent during their annual Black Friday sales. It’s completely nuts to butts on that day. I suggest you hit the Brown Deer store up instead. That place is usually pretty dead any day of the year.

If you are going to shop Menards, your best bet is probably this location. It’s one of their newer stores and thus cleaner, bigger and marginally more organized than other ones in the area. Plus, they have a people conveyor belt up to the second floor that’s fairly entertaining.
We stopped in to get some wood trim stuff for a project and were able to find most of what we needed relatively quickly. The breadth and depth of product is much better than their Hwy 100 store — maybe 5x more options in the category we were shopping for.
Still, you won’t get much help from their staffers. Like other locations, they’re impossible to find and the ones you do encounter don’t seem to know much. I guess I’m just a Home Depot person.

The assistance with finding one item was pretty terrible. Again, as the user below, I was told to find ‘so and so’ in ‘such and such department’ and then pointed on my merry way… about 4 – 5 times until I finally stopped one Menardian and asked him the same question I asked the other employees, and pointed me to a cart filled with bathtub repair kits… that was really bad in a funny way, mostly because this place houses a grand piano and has a state of the art escalator (and I believe elevator?) but found my solution in a pile of discounted crap…
Good to go, menards? You suck… again!

Lately I feel I live here with recently becoming a new condo owner. The staff is always friendly and I can always find what I want or easily find a team member to help me out with what I need.

Help? I used to think Menards service was great because there was plentiful staff and they would walk you to your answer not fingerpoint. Today however was an epic failure. I was pointed toward answers ONLY after I eventually found someone after 20 plus minutes. Not a good reason to get me out of Ace or Lowes where I can press a button and at least get help.

Just moved to the area. Always went to Home Depot till I finally stopped to check it out. 10 star home improvement store by far. They have everything and great prices too

So as I was recovering from my migraine, I heard this clattering from the kitchen. It sounded like a cat or dog playing with a plastic box. Oh wait… I don’t have a cat or dog. As soon as I turned on the light, there he (I hope it is a he…) was, a mouse playing (probably trying to get in) with the plastic box with poison that I had set out before I left for my trip. I noticed that he was having trouble getting inside the box that I bought at Target so I decided I needed to go somewhere with more serious mouse killing options. I apologize for this post, but if you’ve ever had mice, you will know how disgusting it is to have their feces and stuff all over the place and quite frankly, I’m not interested in getting sick. Sorry, it’s me or the mouse and I choose me.
I will say, the one thing I don’t like about this Menards is the parking lot. I am not sure there is any rhyme or reason to it and as a result, people drive the same way. However, inside it is a haven for any DIY junkie. You could even get a snack for your DIY marathon! There was a staff member stood in the middle of store welcoming people and trying to direct people. Genius idea because this place is gi-​normous. He pointed me in the direction of rodent control and away I went.
There were a lot of products… however I have two that have served me well. I was a Residence Hall Director next to a building that was demolished and the mice… of course, went into my building. We had to become experts at extermination. My choices: 1) old-​fashioned wood snap trap and 2) the DCon mouse poison. The traps were 3 packages for $ 0.99, with two in each package. They also had the mouse attractant gel… which actually works and you don’t have to worry about rotting cheese or peanut butter attracting ants. In addition to this, I found rubber gloves and paper plates. All set! While I was looking I also noticed that they had some furniture at reasonable prices. I will have to check if they deliver… I still need a sofa. Check out was easy… although the set up is a bit awkward if you ask me. It is right across from Home Depot, but I would rather go to Menards because I know I will find exactly what I will need.

I’ve since had to come back here for home building items. I have since worked with other helpful individuals who have made up for my other bad experience.

This is my first time in a Menards. I was in Waukesha for business and thought I would look around. Wow, Home Depot+Walmart+, except with better quality products to choose from. I didn’t ask for any help so I don’t know what the service is like except for check out. I like the check out, self bagging and receipt prints out near you so you can take it yourself. Semi-​self service at its best. I found a hugh selection of good quality tools. Tools I haven’t seen at Home Depot, Lowes, Osh, Ace, Harbor Freight tools. There were some good sales and I bought some very useful unusual quality tools at a very good price.
I was surprised at the size of the store, the moving inclined walkways, piano player, selection of stuff here. This is very close to one stop shopping for hardware and even a smaller selection of food, DVD’s, clothes, and other stuff. I was impressed.

After my experience here this summer I will not put another dime in their pockets. Worst customer service ever.

This is the tajmahal of Menards locations. Had my first experience this weekend and I was blown away. This place is HUGE… They have everything you can think of and have 2 floors of good. Two floors you say, what a pain, stair and lugging stuff up and down — Oh No Way! Not here! They have 2 glass elevators and a huge escalator that takes you from one floor to the other. The escalator is really neat too because it is made so you can take your cart on it and it will not move. It grips on and doesn’t move until you are getting off the escalator, you do not need to even hold on to it. How cool is that! Staff was helpful and friendly. Service desk was great and returns are extremely quick. Pianist playing too! Wow, if you have not checked it out, I do recommend.

This store and parking lot is huge! Many of the things that Home depot and Lowe has but this store is has a nice display for patio furniture.
I’ve noticed that the staff are helpful with information asking if we had any questions on finding and locating items. The variety for appliances tools clothing and food make this store a competitor to the home improvement category. some towns have either Lowe’s or a Home Depot. Brookfield is lucky to have all three.

As much as I like Menard’s overall, this location is in a miserable spot. It is landlocked and jammed into a sliver of land where it probably has no business being. The store is cramped and crowded, and the design of the parking lot leaves a lot to be desired (trying to deal with Bluemound is a pain in the butt!) There’s a Home Depot a mile away that is the exact opposite… large, spacious, pretty good layout.
