Vegan Essentials

Vegan Essentials is one of those places you expect to find somewhere in California, and not lil ol Waukesha Wisconsin… but I’m super glad its here!
As I foray into a vegan lifestyle, Vegan Essentials has been there for me providing me with awesome food and ware at really fair prices. You can find tons of vegan food here, but also a lot of clothes, shoes, and body products such as cosmetics and soaps.
I am always amazed by how fast shipping is especially considering how small of an operation they have! Most boxes arrive within a day or 2 of when I order. If you sign up for their emails, they have great deals (for black Friday I got free faux jerky and chocolate with my order) and let you know when they receive new products.
I’m super stoked that Wisconsin has such a great vegan resource, and they have excellent service too!

But it is seriously amazing. Great prices and they have everything vegan you can imagine. Amazing customer service and we get to pick up to avoid shipping fees, LOVE it.

I’ve been ordering my Deva multivitamins from Vegan Essentials for a few years and keep coming back. A little over a week ago I decided to branch out and ordered «cheese», vitamins (of course), jerky, and some other snacks to keep at work. Their prices are really good and they’re so generous with coupons!
When I received my shipment, to my dismay, I had been shipped the wrong kind of cheese. Sad. But, I called (after hours) and left them a voicemail explaining the issue. The next morning I got a nice message saying that they were sending out my correct product and I could keep the other one to try since it was their mistake. What a nice surprise on an otherwise stressful Monday morning! No hassles whatsoever.
This company has great products and even better customer service. Don’t hesitate to order from them; you won’t be disappointed!

I encounter the same questions about being vegan time and time again.
«So vegans just eat salad every day right?»
«What the hell do vegans wear for shoes if they’re not leather?»
My all time favorite:
«But won’t cows explode if we don’t milk them???»

At first I can say delving into veganism can be a touch daunting and I did have questions (although not nearly as stupid as the aforementioned cow question). There is a lot to process and even though years later it’s all second nature I have to say I needed some assistance at first.
Thankfully the Great Internet and it’s high priest The Googles lead me to
straight away. Proteins, shoes, belts, jerkey, bakery, meals, vitamins, books, shirts, makeup, candy, hygiene products, they have it ALL. Vegan on this site doesn’t just mean no animal products, but also the products were produced sans animal testing/​torture.
I lucked out big time living 10 minutes from their warehouse, the extremely friendly owners Courtney and Ryan let me come by and try on shoes to make sure I had a good fit. These two are honestly some of the most passionate folks I’ve ever met when it comes to their business, this is not just work to them, they truly care and you can see it in their service. Courtney and Ryan really pour their hearts into this site and they are there for any aspiring vegan in need of some guidance.
Whenever I want to find some new vegan goodies VeganEssentials is my first stop, no doubt. Vegan-​Curious? They have many books that I recommend, from recipes to get you started to books that will explain the benefits of veganism for your health, the animals, and the environment. Plenty of books to clear up those pesky common vegan questions too.
For the record cows keep producing milk constantly because WE keep them pregnant constantly (babies for the veal industry). Consider this dumb ass question answered.

Placed an online order on Black Friday.
Being me, I forgot to enter the Black Friday code that would give me 15% off my whole order. So on Saturday, I email them to ask if it’s possible to retroactively apply said code.
Within an hour, I get a reply not only telling me that the code has been applied, not only telling me that it will be shipped out after the weekend, not only signed by a human being, but wishing me a wonderful day!
Now anyone dealing with the shopping public on Black Friday who can keep up that level of service should be given a medal… but it gets better.
On Sunday night, I get a mass email telling me that, as they’d gotten such an overwhelming response to their Black Friday (and Saturday) deals, our orders would take just a teeny tiny bit longer to arrive than we would expect, but not to worry; please be patient, they were on their way. Again, this is how customer service should be – even if you see a problem, keep the customer informed. That keeps the customer on your side.
And my order arrived on Wednesday, for pete’s sake! I was hardly pacing the floor.
So, customer service; five stars, A-​plus, a «ten.» What about their products?
We buy their dairy (casein)-free Daiya cheese. Now, there is just no way that dairy free cheese is going to be anything like «real» cheese, but this is definitely the best of the options out there. It comes shredded, in cheddar or «Italian.» Both are very good and melt well. At Halloween, we’d also gotten a box of truffles for our daughter, who never gets to eat the dairy-​filled chocolates in her trick-​or-​treat bag. Sure, it cost more than a bag of Snickers, but for the first time in her life, our girl actually got to eat something like a Snickers! I can’t tell you how thrilled we are to have found this site.
And the fabulous customer service puts it right over the top.

Went here for my Black Friday shopping. Ok, it was mainly for me and my wife, but we went on the only weekday we manage to be able to get here. I live in Illinois, but the in-​laws live in Brookfield, so we are in this neck-​of-​the-​woods often, but the showroom is only open m-​f during normal business hours. I got inspired and called before Tofurkey Day about if they’d be around on Friday, and they said for only a half a day in the morning. So that’s what we did.
The staff was really friendly, and we were asked if we needed help a few times, even though everything is laid out very nicely and is easy to see. It was more like a grocery store than a warehouse. You can get anything that they have on the site. Though I suggest if you want shoes to look up the styles you want first, because there aren’t any shoes out as displays.

I think I might make this a yearly shopping tradition. Though I need to bring a cooler net time maybe for the cheeses.

I have been a customer of Vegan Essentials for two years and I am always thrilled with the products I receive. They have a wide range of vegan products — cruelty-​free shoes that are functional, comfortable and fashionable, vegan specialty foods and snacks, and lots of other items like clothing, jewelry, supplements and personal care products.
The customer service is fantastic — I had no problems returning a pair of shoes that didn’t quite work. Last summer, part of my order was back ordered — they kept in touch with me about the status of the supply and even sent me some special treats for my patience.
