First and last visit was the day after Thanksgiving. The bar was crowded and the bartender looked like she was enjoying as much Holiday cheer as the patrons. The hostess was pushing the buffet featuring clam chowder. We were tired and hungry from hunting all day and decided the buffet was a simple choice. The chowder was cold and tasteless. The salad bar was depleted of lettuce. The rest of the buffet was all deep-​fried except for the chicken which was the only thing with any flavor. Worst buffet I’ve ever had, anytime, anywhere. So many things were wrong, there’s no reason I would ever go back there.

Love The Homestead. Nice folks. Great home style cooking. Broasted chicken is the bomb. Friendly bar. They have nice family style seating. If you are looking for good chicken or a great fishfry, this place is worth the trip. Great value too. Give it a try. Here in the heart of Nutterville.

Stopped into this place for a Friday night fish fry.
Arrived early and had a drink at the bar and check the place out.
Nice people working there and the fish buffet was good.
Would we go back, yes if i the area but not to make a special trip.

While outside town, this restaurant/​bar is worth the trip! Theres a great buffet with fresh food and the weekend breakfast is very tasty. The management saw a change several years ago. Having the new owner stop at your table to make sure everything’s ok is a regular occurrence. Give it a try, you wont be disappointed!

This place reminds me of growing up… I always had the fish fry, or the delicious denny burger.
