Well if ya grew up in Wausau this possibly is you’re favorite. Dine in is pretty rad with the old 50s dressed servers and cooks. Juke box and even a pinball machine that doesn’t work too well. Retro you can tell the place hasn’t changed. As for the pizza, haha makes ya laugh it’s so good. One of the best thin crust I have had in my life. The sauce is always perfectly placed as well as season. I imagine their recipe hasn’t changed in 65 years and why would you if it’s perfect… It’s pricey when you compare to lil Cesar’s but it’s justified!!! Well justified, If in Wausau go here for pizza. Side note they cut their pizzas in squares so don’t be surprised!!!

Had a family get-together here in a large room off the main room. Chose this place on the recommendation of cousins who live in the area and not disappointed.

Sam’s pizza is a place I have been eating at since as long as I can remember! The Sam’s on Elm street in Wausau is the best. Garlic bread is delicious! My favorite pizza from there is a Sam’s special– has onion, green pepper and sausage with optional mushrooms.

The best thin crust pizza in town — no question. Neat, old fashioned, mom-and-pop kind of place with checkered tablecloths. Very good pizza. Great for families.

The food was great. The service… Not so much. Maybe the servers are just grumpy because they have to wear those fugly uniforms.

Sam’s Pizza is the best in Wausau if you are looking for classic, thin crust pizza. The Wausau location(not the Schofield one) has much better ambience and is the original location. Try out the cheesy bread with marinara sauce along with the pepperoni and/or sausage pizza. Also, the 1919 root beer on tap is tasty. Definitely recommend Sam’s Pizza.

Best Pizza!!! Love the cracker thin crust. Must get Sausage. One piece of sausage per small square cut piece! The best!!!

Wausau area well known for pizza. Reminds me of Frank and Pats back in my hometown of Green Bay. Small game room up front for kids. Not the most modern interior but that gives it charm. Good service. Nice old fashioned pizza place great for families.

This place was one of my favorite restaurants in high school… think a spicy marinara, with a paper thin floury crust, with just the right amount of toppings and you have a Sams Pizza.
