Awesome food for a cheap price. I love that the curry comes in 5 different spice levels. The plum wine is really good too! What a difference from what this place used to be and how it is now. Wonderfully attentive service and beautifully presented food!

Amazing food! Delightful presentation for a small town place. So much better than some buffet. Owners are sweet and funny.

This restaurant doesn’t look like much from the outside but just wait until you walk in. It’s clean, «Brandy», our server was great. She even had suggestions on orders as we were only passing through. The food was of excellent quality, perfectly prepared, and professionally presented. We were very happy to have chosen this restaurant. I am including pictures of our main courses.

Best Chinese I’ve had in a long time. The chef is from Hong Kong and very masterful. We pulled off the road during a cross country trip, and were happily surprised. The building and décor are a little dated, but the food is great! The good folks of Wauseon are blessed to have such a talented chef in their small town. Definitely stop here! And if you happen to be from Wauseon, I am jealous.

Portions were good sized and presentation was beautiful; however flavor was lacking. The pricing was fair. I very much enjoy crab Rangoon but theirs was mostly fried dough with minimal filling. I had sweet and sour chicken which was fine. My husbands almond boneless chicken needed flavor. Mediocre dining experience probably won’t return.

This is a very important message. Since we had changed the whole serving system from buffet to full service with menu. By the way, we changed the whole cooking style as well. We got the best comment from all customers even they had visited us before or first time from in town, around or out of state. Now we are ranked number one restaurant in Wauseon.(please visit ). We do our best to provide the highest quality of food and service. The most affordable price with the best cooking skill that even the presentation you have never seen before. This is a huge change and a big turn around for my restaurant. Please come to visit us and we will not disappointing you.

I’m terribly disappointed, again. During the late 90’s — early 2000’s Kam Wah was one of my favorite places to eat. The food was always great, lots of fresh, crisp veggies in all the main course options, delicious fluffy fried rice with carrot bits, peas, onions etc., crispy egg rolls and portions that left enough for another full meal. I’m not quite sure what happened but I ordered once right before the remodel, and the food was terrible. I’ve just ordered for the 3rd time in the years after the remodel, and for the 3rd and last time for me… the food was terrible. The veggies in my entrée(all 4 pieces) were soggy and the meat was tough and chewy, the fried rice was a sticky yellow starch blob with no veggies or anything ‘fried’ into it. Even the sauce seems to have lost it’s ‘umph’. I noticed the decline in business when Wauseon got 2 new ‘fast food’ type Chinese eateries and assumed the remodel was to re-vamp and improve but it appears that cuts in quality(cost?) were the real change, maybe an attempt to compete with the cheaper, lower quality new fast food joints. If Kam Wah would bring back the quality of days past, they’d surely regain the clientele. The food went downhill fast after the new places went up and business declined as people tried the new places out. Everyone I know that loved kam wah circled back to them after finding the low quality of the new places, only to find the quality there was now worse than the ‘fast food’ Chinese in town and subsequently continue to frequent the other places BUT would undoubtedly come back for the ‘old’ Kam Wah quality over those fast food joints even if it costs a bit more. I only gave two stars honestly because the girl at the pickup window was so friendly.

Food was great and the presentation was very impressive. The staff was enthusiastic, friendly and efficient. Our meal was served promptly and there was enough to take home for another meal.

Tried Kam Wah while visiting the area. It was a nice surprise. Décor was nice and service was efficient. Egg roll and soup were slightly above average while the entrees were excellent with pretty presentation. The only thing that kept me from 5 stars was the iced tea which was really bad.

I ate here years ago and was not impressed and had almost written them off. Recently they got a revamp(could be new owners) so my wife and I tried it again. Everything was so much better from the way the appearance was fresh and clean to the food. Here in wauseon it’s hard to get excited about food, everybody pretty much has the same thing. These people got it right, they are using fresher ingredients, making food to order instead of mass producing everything and letting it sit for hours, and you can taste the difference. I am glad to say we will continue to go back to this place as long as they keep up the good work.

This place caters to small town USA, where most Caulkys’ enjoy nothing simpler then Lo Mien and Sweet and Sour Chicken, all dumped upon heaping piles of fried rice. That said, I am sure these people can cook some real Chinese food that others could like, but the clientele is simply not going to want it. I am sure it is so frustrating to cook the same fried dishes over and over for Caulky’ when there is so much more out there. Nonetheless, the food is alright, and the prices are fair. My in-laws order takeout from here when we come into town and it is always decent and good enough for me. Enjoy Suckas’!!!

Forget it. I walked in(first mistake) and found the place to be dingy, dumpy and dreary, with all the charm and ambiance of the waiting area of an old auto repair place. I should have walked out. The buffet was not set up yet, as it was too early. No problem, I ordered off the take-out menu. The fried rice was among the worst I have ever eaten, anywhere. The rice was very dry, Just how old was that rice it was made from? It had hard, chewy grains. Yuck. Needless to say, I am not encouraged to give them another try. The menu offered extremely limited vegetarian offerings, and no tofu dishes. The variety of appetizers and soups was also very limited, no chicken fingers, for example. The menu was somewhat dated. The buffet may be worth sampling, but I don’t plan on going in to find out! There are many other venues to eat at, including 2 other Chinese places, in town. No need to settle for this.
