Went in & waited to be ordered on… For 5 minutes. Finally just gave up & left. I’d been there before & gotten decent service.

Made a $ 120 order over the Internet the night before. Went to pick it up at the pick up time and they hadn’t started assembling the order. So I had to wait. They didn’t include any bbq sauce and the food wasn’t that good. Especially the brisket was poor. Also the rolls that cost 50 cents a piece were the type you get for free at most dinners. Not good food or value.

My boyfriend got a card in the mail about this place. The card stated that he had won a free complimentary dinner for two plus 25 $ visa gift card if we called the number 844−663−1261 and enter in a RSVP code which was 8217. So I called and it was a SCAM to buy a TIMESHARE! It was VERYDISAPPOINTING!

Recently Dickey’s opened here so my husband and I decided to stop in for lunch. I ordered a small smoked turkey breast sandwich. I watched as the teen making it cut off two small slices of meat from a turkey breast that had been wrapped in plastic. Immediately, I knew the meat was not fresh. He then proceeded to cut those two slices of turkey in half before putting them on a dry and tasteless hoagie bun. I asked him if that was all the meat that he was going to use for the sandwich. His reply?: «That’s half of a half a pound.» Really? Half of a half of pound? Huh? When my food was rung up, the register showed a 3 ounce sandwich. What I was given wasn’t enough to fill a 4 year-old child. Don’t even get me started about the price for such measly fare which included 3 small pickle discs and 2 very small raw onion rings. There is absolutely no way I will ever set foot in that Dickey’s restaurant or any other Dickey’s restaurant again. The food is terrible, lacks quality and freshness, and the inflated prices make it obscenely overpriced. The very young employees behind the counter all looked bored and apathetic. Not one of them smiled or seemed happy to be there. This experience was terrible. Spend your money elsewhere. If I didn’t have to add a star to my review, I wouldn’t. Dickey’s doesn’t deserve one. I am only giving this place one star out of pity.

This is not a BBQ joint. Pre measured(small) portions with smoke flavoring come with a steep price. This place is the McDonald’s of BBQ.

The 2 meat plate that I got today wasted highly over priced. 2 small pieces of rib and 2 slices of brisket that was more like 2 slices of pot roast meager portions for $ 12.50

A bit disappointing for a first timer With an hour before closing they are totally out of ribs Opted for the brisket instead

When I think of BBQ, I think of big hearty portions. For the price I paid and the amount I received I felt it wasn’t really worth it, but then again I know nothing about BBQ, maybe giving out small portions is a part of traditional American BBQ. I ordered the 3 meat meal, the cornbread they gave me was quite delicious. The meats were good but they weren’t covered in bbq sauce like I imagined so I have to dunk it in sauce myself. The three sauce that was available was good, my favorite would be the original and spicy.

A new Dickey’s location opened in our area a few months ago. We’d heard great things about them, so of course we were anxious to check them out. The menu is BBQ based, obviously. Online ordering is convenient & it doesn’t take long for your order to be ready for pick up. If you sign up for their Big Yellow Cup Club, they’ll email you a coupon for a free large drink; they also send you a birthday coupon for a free big BBQ sandwich. A big BBQ sandwich costs $ 6.50& comes with onions & pickles(meat options include– pulled pork, beef brisket, BBQ honey ham, spicy cheddar sausage, Polish sausage, pork ribs, turkey breast & chicken). We’ve only tried the traditional pulled pork. You can upgrade to a sandwich plate for $ 10, which includes 2 sides. We’ve tried the coleslaw(okay, nothing special), caesar salad(good, dressing was a bit too anchovy-ish), mac & cheese(AMAZING, incredibly cheesy & creamy), & waffle fries(delicious! seasoning tasted slightly similar to kettle corn plus a healthy dose of black pepper). You add your own BBQ sauce, which is awesome, I love being able to control the amount of sauce– they have sweet, regular & spicy(the spicy is GREAT!). They have all-you-can-eat soft serve ice cream, every day, when you dine-in & kids eat free on Sunday. About once a month, they send emails for buy one get one free sandwiches. We’ve been there 4 times. The employees taking your order are super nice, but the cashiers are hit or miss. Our first visit was on a weekday, during lunch, for the free drink for signing up & the free birthday BBQ sandwich– excellent food & the service was great; the coupons indicated only one could be used per visit, but the manager okay’d us using both. The second & third visits were online orders, during the week, for dinner– the food was ready within 15 – 20 minutes & they don’t drop the fried items(waffle fries for us) until you get there. The fourth visit was extremely disheartening! We ordered online, with a pick-up time of 8. They close at 9, but it looked like they were closing at 8:10; the BBQ sauce was wrapped up, the ice cream machine was turned off & all the unoccupied chairs were upside down on the tables. The cashier seemed irritated that I was there«so late.» When we got home, the pulled pork was riddled with bones & disappointingly dry. It was such a downer, given our previous encounters were fantastic. Overall, the food is tastier than it is disappointing, service is fair, the prices are reasonable-ish, & frequent deals are sent via email.

We were excited to have a barbecue vendor in the neighborhood and we’ve tried them twice now. First time, we ate in – had the brisket sandwich. It was okay except the meat was not very warm. Second time we carried out – had the sliced brisket and the quality of the meat was okay but not real flavorful. Both times I thought the staff could do more to enhance the experience – being new in the area the customers need to know what is available in terms of condiments, etc. A friendly smile would be helpful too. Food is a bit pricey. I’m thinking this is no competition for the Silver Spur in Elm Grove. Maybe we are spoiled – we had Lickin’ Good from near Austin, TX a few months ago.

I thought I would give dickeys another try at a different location. This is a new store and is has lots of wood and metal for the décor. It was empty when I was there. See my pictures. The employees were nice and helpful but they pounce on you when I walked in and I had to beat them back with a stick. BBQ brisket makes or breaks a BBQ place so I ordered the BBQ brisket sandwich with spicy BBQ sauce. The food came quick and the cashier asked if I wanted extra BBQ sauce so I said does it come with one already, she says it’s free. I ask her again how many does it come with and she just can’t comprehend my question so I said I need just one for my sandwich. The sandwich is a ¼ pound of brisket on a bun with pickles and onions for almost $ 7, see the picture. The pickles were pretty pathetic looking. First thought was that it was small for $ 7. I tasted the meat by itself three times and there was no BBQ flavor at all. No smoke flavor and no smoke ring at all. If I was blind folded and tasted the BBQ brisket I would have said I’m eating pot roast, the texture and taste was similar to pot roast. It tasted like a pot roast sandwiches until I put the BBQ sauce on it. I liked the spicy BBQ sauce because it was sweet and hot, I would buy it for a glaze for ribs. It had pepper seeds suspended in it and did have a decent hot finish after the initial sweet which hits you first. Over all the the BBQ sauce is the only thing that makes the brisket BBQ. I wanted to try the sandwich before I paid the big dollars for the meat plates. The Mc rib is a better crap choice for $ 3 and yes once a year I will have one. The food prices are in line with decent BBQ places with better quality products. If you look through my reviews you will see that I have had BBQ from all over the mid west so when I say it’s over priced for the quality, it is. This is fast food BBQ and not a very good example of BBQ.

Did the 3 meat plate. ordered brisket, SPICY cheesy sausage & polish sausage. What I got was brisket, spicy cheesy sausage & pulled pork. ordered the barbeque beans & onion tanglers for sides along with the large size drink. cost around $ 17, just a bit pricey for what I got. first off the baked beans were nothing special I could get from a can. to me the brisket was boiled/steamed first and then«smoked», NOSMOKE ring or flaver at all. The Spicy sausage, NOT!!, all I could taste was cheap fake cheese. The pulled pork had no smoke flavor or smoke ring either. The only product made there that I enjoyed was the SPICYBBQ sauce. BTW the Diet Coke wasn’t bad! Maybe I’m picky, but I smoke my own meats with real wood, so I know what they should look & taste like when they are smoked.

Do not waste your time or money. Severely overpriced for the low quality food. I was disappointed because I was hoping for a quality barbecue place that was close to home. Never again!
