We almost melted after lunch in what felt like 100 degree weather. As we tried to find shelter there was a small sign that said «Shave ice this way». We followed it without question and found this very cute Hawaiian Shave Ice stand in front of Ono Kine Grindz.
For $ 3.75 you get a heaping scoop of shaved ice and the option of up to 3 flavors:
Banana
Pineapple
Strawberry
Lychee
Mango
Bubble Gum
Melon
Lilikoi (similar to passion fruit)
Watermelon
Coconut
We got a total of 3 cups of shaved ice with lychee, mango, strawberry, and lilikoi flavors. It was ohhhhh sooooo refreshing!!!
The owners (mom is from WI, dad is from Kauai) are lovely people and so great to talk to!
Unfortunately they are only open Fri, Sat, Sun from 12:30 — 3:30. I’ll definitely be back before the summer ends!
