This was a great location to spend a day celebrating a birthday with 4 crazy aunts. The atmosphere is perfect for a lunch surrounded with shopping and chatting with girlfriends. I hope everyone was tolerant of our laughing and wine drinking in the early afternoon! I ordered the blue cheese and pear salad and it was deliciously topped with candied pecans and a balsamic cherry vinaigrette. It was a good sized salad and left me pleasantly full with some room left to share some of the absolutely ginormous chocolate cake! That slide was coated with toffee and drizzled with a caramel sauce. Insane! Definitely a good location for a Girls Day Out. Round up your crew and go!

Very impressive. I was a bit skeptical because its not a freestanding restaurant(not sure why I put quality of food and service together with a stand alone…) but the quality of the food was outstanding and the service was truly impeccable. Our waitress, Genevieve was around just enough to do a fantastic job, and away enough so we wanted for nothing. I had the arugula salad with shrimp; the shrimp was cooked to perfection and served with a polenta croûton and an amazing dressing… my husband had the bolognese pasta. If we could have picked up our plates and licked them, we would have. We will be back. Delicious, fine selection and the French Press coffee is to die for.

Our third time here. Very nice for a department store restaurant. All three meals were very good. I have had the bolognese twice. Both time very good. The soups were fantastic. The mushroom flatbread… pretty good. The turkey panini was also delightful. Give this place a try!

I wasn’t sure what to expect. It’s a restaurant basically inside a high-end department store. Nevertheless, I’m going to say that I was very impressed with Ruscello. The menu is a bit of a hodge-podge — somewhat Italian, somewhat American. But, honestly, everything is DELICIOUS. I had the Chicken & Artichoke Pasta and it was amazing. I didn’t see a small dinner salad but they still made one for me. We ordered a bottle of wine and indulged in the chocolate cake. Surprisingly, our bill was $ 80. MUCH less than most places. Here are the few negatives: Our waiter lost a bit of credibility when he told us that he used to work at and collects Cooper’s Hawk wine. Not to be a snob, but that wasn’t a great reveal. The other negative is that there are calories listed for everything. I wish I didn’t know how much my pasta dish was but it was so good, I couldn’t stop. The final negative is that I wish restaurants would stop the trend of the exposed kitchen. If I want to see a kitchen while I eat, I’ll eat at home. I don’t want to watch the ins and outs of kitchen operation, but that might just be me. I’d go back for sure.

If I have to go shopping, it sure was nice to get a decent meal and a beer while taking a break! We had the goat cheese and basil jam appetizer. It was really nicely presented in a glass jar and tasted good. I shared the roasted veggie sandwich and spicy pork sandwich with my wife. Really enjoyed them both. Lots of flavor and very fresh. The beer list could use a little help but I was pleased with my Lagunitas IPA. While I hope not to shop again this year… If I do I’ll definitely consider a return trip.

I’ve not yet looked at the menu and know this won’t be a good experience. The young hostess lacks an awareness for eye contact and verbal communication. She does have a fondness for keeping her fingers interlaced with a toothpick in her mouth. Absolutely disgusting.

Impressive décor, food was decent, and service… not so much. Had an early lunch and there were only about 5 other tables occupied. Our food arrived about 15 minutes after we placed our orders. My salmon nicoise salad was beautiful, however the salmon was raw inside. My guest ordered the ravioli and loved it. The server took my salad right back after she saw the inside of the salmon. At least 10 minutes later(after my guest was done with her meal), my salad arrived. This time, the salmon was cooked and it was delicious. The server apologized and said there would be a reduction on my bill for the inconvenience, which didn’t happen. I understand this is a new restaurant and they need to iron out the glitches, however if a server tells a client they will reduce the bill because of an error in the kitchen, it should happen. This was Nordstroms, not K-Mart.

Great food and service. I would come back for special occasions. The Tuscan Roasted Salmon was a good choice for our first time here. I’d order it again but I really want to the other dishes first. Plus side that they are on also and you can make reservations ahead of time especially on busy weekends.

Food was great. Beer was warm. Ordered a dirty martini and sent it back because it was not dirty. Our server was MIA for awhile and didn’t offer us drinks when she was there. The food was great though

Pleasantly surprised by this restaurant inside the new Nordstrom. If you’re looking for it, Ruscello is located on the ground floor, east side near the men’s stuff. I stopped for a quick lunch and was surprised to see they were completely packed on a random Monday. There’s a small bar area and seating for maybe 75 people or so. The interior is clean lines, warm and modern and the menu has a selection of Italian-ish dishes. There’s a few pastas, a good number of salads, wood fired pizza and sandwiches. Prices are quite reasonable with no dish over $ 15. I went with a margarita pizza and was pretty happy with it, though it probably could have gone another minute or two in the oven. Ingredients were good quality and the portion was plenty big for a personal meal or for two to split as a light bite. Service was quick and seemed knowledgeable about the menu which is good considering they’ve only been open a week or so. Overall, my lunch with a non-alcoholic drink was less than $ 15 and it was pretty good for a restaurant located in a department store. Expect a clientele heavy on the«Brookfield Betty» type.
