I’m upgrading this review for a few reasons. The ring that I got for my grilfriend got a lot of compliments just a few hours after we bought it. Unfortunately, it turned her finger black after a few hours of wear. Despite the complimentary remarks she can’t really wear it since it now turns black in just a matter of minutes.
We came back this afternoon because well, skydiving turned out to be a bust again. We ate at the nearby Waverly café and my girlfriend wanted to come in here again just to check things out. The madcap inventory improved and it seems as though most of the items in the the store mostly deal with baby announcements and apparel. With a couple of decorative/​household objects thrown in, e.g. loofah/​soap.
The biggest thing that impressed me though was that the owner recognized us-​not that two Asians passing through the small town more than once is a a common occurrence. However, since it was months ago that we went it’s hard not to be impressed with the owner.
The gf also managed to find another piece of jewelry she liked, a bracelet which was on sale for less than 5 bucks. her comment, «if you can find something to buy every time you come into a store, that’s good.» Granted, it’s only been our second time but with almost 3 months time in between visits and us being recognized my views on this store are obviously improved. I’ll wait to see if this new bracelet will turn my lady’s wrist different colors before rating it higher than 3.
