We’ve been members of Ray William’s Propane Club since 2006 – 2007(Winter) season. Ray and his wife Georgia basically negotiate a rate(per gallon of propane) for each season and typically«lock-in» the rate from September 1st to March 31st for anyone who is a member. Membership per year is typically $ 45 for a residential user. During these last 9 seasons, we have never failed to at least save 2x or 3x our $ 45 membership rate over the season. But on two years we literally saved $ 1000 on our purchase of propane for a season(winter). Propane rates always fluctuate upwards in the winter(usage is much higher) and by joining RWPC we basically we ensure our rate(per gallon) remains the same, regardless of the fluctuations. The harsher the winter, the more likely the savings will be huge! Remember the record setting(for North Texas) snow storm a couple of years ago? We were snug in our house with the propane fired central heat on, paying about ½ of what others were paying per gallon, due to the lock-in rate offered through RWPC. The last few years RWPC has been using Poor Boys Propane as the supplier in the Midlothian area and those folks do a great job and are highly responsive. It is always good to find a business, particularly a service business, that not only takes great care of you(RWPC and Poor Boys) … but saves you money on a needed consumable. These guys have it figured out. We’ll continue to renew our yearly membership and some years we will save a small amount and other years we will save a large amount. But every year we can count on good service and availability of propane for our heating, cooking, and hot water needs.
