I can usually get a vibe for which direction a restaurant experience is heading within the first few minutes of walking through the door. In this case it was not so simple because the ultimate experience was much better than the first impression. The guys who both took orders and cooked the day of my visit were either overworked or not that enthusiastic to have customers visiting the place… and it made ordering a bit awkward. The inside isn’t very easy on the eyes, but it seems to be a place more geared towards pick-up and deliveries so that’s understandable. There are plenty of places I wouldn’t eat in at that serve amazing food(like Leone’s in Somerville)…so I don’t hold that against them. I ordered the steak and cheese and it actually came out great. Fresh toasted bun, vibrant green lettuce and ripe tomatoes, and steak nicely seasoned and not overcooked. This was a work lunch so I was so glad that the good food made up for the not-so-good customer service.

My first order of broccoli bites and chicken cutler grinder was meh. Standard bordering on sub-standard Greek sub shop. Tonight, I ordered for the second time and I will not be ordering again. I ordered mozzarella sticks and pasta with chicken parm through Eat24. I placed the order at 7:50pm expecting to eat around 8:45. I got a notification on my phone(love Eat24!) that my order should arrive around 8:25pm. Awesome! So, when it became 8:50pm, my food hadn’t arrived, and it had been an hour, I reached out to Eat24. Eat24 called the restaurant, who told them that the driver was in a car accident. I truly don’t know if this is true or not. This is the 4th time this year that I’ve been told(by various restaurants) that my order was late due to a car accident, so I am a little suspicious. But anyways, I was told the new driver was estimated to be 5 – 10 minutes out. After another 20 minutes, I asked to cancel my order. In between the time I asked to cancel my order and Eat24 called the restaurant, the food was delivered. I accepted the cold, long overdue food because I didn’t know what else to do. I figured either I or the restaurant would work it out with Eat24, since I paid through them. I close the door, I sit down, I start typing the predicament to Eat24… and the doorbell rings again. It’s the driver, and he puts me on the phone with the owner(?), who asks me to pay again since the order was cancelled. I tell him I’d frankly rather return the food, and he said okay. I went to get the food and when I came back with it, I was told just to keep it. I asked if they were sure, and they said yes. So… okay. Thanks, I guess. But… onto the food. Being more than an hour late may have something to do with this, but nonetheless: The mozzarella sticks were just gross. More of a batter than breadcrumbs, and the cheese, long since solidified, was grainy. Upside, the marinara was pretty good, though(of course) cold. The salad that comes with the pasta had a handful of carrots, one cherry tomato, one kalamata olive, and four pieces of lettuce. They could have at least filled the soup cup with a few more pieces of lettuce. The garlic bread that comes with the pasta was actually tasty, though could have used more garlic. The bread was very soggy and chewy, although you could tell that the edges had, at one point, been toasted(the toast didn’t seem to reach the middle though). But again, could be the fact that it sat out for at least an extra hour. The chicken parm had lots of cheese. All of it solidified on the cover and pulled the breading off the chicken. Chicken tenders, by the way, not a real cutlet. The ziti was, of course, soggy and overcooked. Just no part of the experience makes me want to go back.

I’ve eaten here many times. The large subs are LARGE and filled with what you ask for. They have great onion rings! I usually call ahead, and generally my order is waiting for me. It’s been a while since I’ve had a pizza here, so I cannot comment on those. They have great steak subs, and very good turkey subs.

We thought the pizza was pretty horrible. Would have been better off with frozen. There’s a lot of competition in the area so I would think they should step it up a bit!

Your driver delivering to wingate thought it was totally ok to park in a reserved spot for those that need parking that is close. His excuse is there is no other parking. Im sorry but my excuse is my wife is disabled and relies on these spots so we can put her in a wheel chair. SHAMEONYOUWAYLANDPIZZAGUY…

Ordered twice, first time had a buffalo chicken wrap & steak tips. Second time had a large pepperoni pizza & cheese pizza. Overall good food good experience, about 45 min delivery, but food was warm and driver was friendly. Ordered online.

First time back here in a couple years — and I had a much better experience this time. The bacon cheeseburger was pretty good, tasty bun and toppings, but the patty was a bit plain and overdone. The cheese fries were fairly standard fries with a white cheese melted on top(as opposed to that cheese sauce stuff that I love!) but were decent. Service was friendly and quick.

If I could give this place no rating I would!!! I ordered 2 large pies and 3 orders of wings which came to almost $ 70. Needless to say the pizza was horrible and the wings were like eating Tyson wings frozen. It’s the worst pizza and wings I ever had I would rather eat Celeste Pizza! Soo over priced for the quality of food u get!!!

The subs here are pretty good and the prices are fair. If you don’t call your order in expect to wait. If you don’t call in during the lunch hour rush forget about it. 3 star rating for the few times I called in an order and it got lost, sucks big time when you only get a 30 minute lunch break.

Reliable and consistent pizza. Fluffy crusts. Not exactly gourmet but good for a quick fix. Dependable delivery. No complaints.

We ordered all sides… this girl wanted chicken for the football game saturday night so we ordered wings, fingers, cheese fries, curly fries and spinach pie. No complaints from the gang at all. They give you a HUGE amount of curly fries, and the cheese fries are delightful. I enjoyed the spinach pie although my family made fun of me for ordering it. I know these guys do a decent calzone as well.

good«standard» pizza slice and a coke. Middle of the road. Better than Sudbury, but not as good as Sorrentos in Acton & Concord. .

Wanted it to be so much better. Its a great fluffy, Greek crust but the cheese and sauce are nothing to write home about. On the plus side they do have a nice variety of Wachusett chip flavors.

Bad Greek pizza, oily and awful. It’s worth the drive to D&A in Newton for some quality Hellenic pie.

We’re new to Wayland and therefore are in ‘exploration mode’ as we make our way around town and check out all the local establishments. Supporting local businesses is important to us, however our experience with Wayland Pizza has been nothing short of disappointing. The person taking our order couldn’t have cared less that it was our first time ordering with them. When I asked the person what he recommended on the menu(we didn’t have any menus, there aren’t any online), he simply said«everything». Quite helpful. Although their delivery time was exactly as advertised, the food quality was not up to our typical fare. The pizza was too doughy and overloaded with greasy cheese(!) and their wings dipped in too much batter. We might try them again since I believe every establishment should get two shots, however there simply are too many great places we want to visit first.

If you’re looking for something quick and consistent, Wayland House of Pizza is the way to go. Right on RT. 20 I often pass it on my way home and have been eating their pizza and Italian subs(SOGOOD) since I was at Wayland High. Great food, great service!

Show me Wayland House over Libertys any day. Try the chicken parm calzone as well. Still Id make the drive to Bertuccis over both of them. 3 stars for convenience and(slightly) less grease than Libterys.
