My favorite Chinese place in Wayne! Super quick delivery, low prices, and a varied menu with great prices. I especially like their sesame chicken, crispy and not soggy. Their fried pork dumplings are also awesome. Keep up the good work!

This place won’t blow you away. The closest you will get to the equivalent of a dive bar Chinese place on the Main Line, Chinese Delight actually does live up to its name if you are looking for a good value lunch option. The lunch ranges from $ 5.95 — $ 6.75 and includes your meal, a soup, pork fried rice, tea and the crunchy fried wontons that seem to be disappearing as freebies from Chinese restaurants. This place is not a luxurious or high-end, but it doesn’t try to be. The servers can be dismissive and distracted and often you can find employers peeling the day’s shrimp right next to your table. The food here is tasty and you will leave full which is all I can ask for, but don’t plan any birthday dinners here anytime soon

Came here for a quick lunch after our first two stops were closed. Food was good. Looks better on the inside than the outside.

Out in the land of high end and over priced lunches– the main line i saw a big sign for a $ 5.95 luncheon including brown rice and there was no question where i’d dine today. There were several items for 5.95 but most ran around 6.25 including my choice Hunan Beef. Hunan beef was many thick slices of tender beef seasoned with red pepper flakes in a brown sauce with standard Chinese vegetables. Alongside was a generous portion of brown rice. The meal included wonton soup and a steaming pot of tea. Portions sizes were such i have a leftover for lunch tomorrow. Very tasty and the service made it a pleasurable dining experience

A coupe doors down from Whole Foods in Wayne. Yeah I know what you’re thinking — of all the places to eat in the Main Line, why this place? I was hungry OK! I didn’t have the patience to find a decent place plus I didn’t have to get back into my 90 degree car after grocery shopping for an hour. Anyway, mediocre Chinese food at best but you know when you’re hungry a raw potato will taste good. We ordered the Buddhist Delight and General Tso’s Chicken. The food came out literally ten minutes after ordering. Lukewarm, no flavor, no pizazz, no nothing. Come on you’re in the Main Line, set yourself apart from all the other Happy Garden’s and King Wok’s. If there’s people who’ll pay top dollar for good quality food, then this area is it. You’re sitting on a goldmine. With that said, have a separate space for your employees/family to have their lunch and socialize. Keep the phone convo’s in the kitchen or somewhere other than dining room. Their was nothing delightful about my Buddhist Delight, and nothing that resembled chicken with the General Tso’s. Look, if you want a quick bite after shopping at Whole Foods and are pressed for time, ok, this’ll do, if not, avoid this place.

My friend recently moved to Wayne and she heard this was the Chinese restaurant to go to. She loved the Hot n Sour Soup, but, was disappointed in the chinese sesame noodles. I had the Vegetarian steamed dumplings and they were homemade and delicious. They give you fresh chinese fried noodles and hot tea, which was fitting on the day we went. The Staff was very nice too. They deliver, which is great as she sometimes wants delivery. I would come back. I think she will too.

We love this place & it’s our«go to» ordering-out place«last minute» & when we are in the mood for Chinese food! We always get the spicy pork dish, chicken & veggies in brown sauce, chicken fried rice, pork dumplings, egg rolls, chicken lomein & it’s always delicious & consistent! They are always nice & it’s always super fast! A must try if try if you haven’t already! Ps, the service is great even when you eat there!

Went here in the early evening on a week night. Ordered vegetarian menu of tofu vegetable soup, cold sesame noodles, & tofu with cabbage, bean curd, mushrooms and sauce. The food was absolutely delicious! They brought it out to us as it was done being cooked. The waitress was attentive and pleasant with us. It was obvious their ingredients were fresh and I would definitely come back here!

I have been ordering take out from this place for several years. The place is clean, good people and food is very good. They are one of the few Chinese places from where I take out sea food. I have tried almost all the items in the menu over the years and have no complaints. I am a low spice guy and like their chicken fried rice a lot. I will definitely recommend this place for take outs atleast since I have never had a sit in there.

This place used to be so much better, but after the 2nd time eating here within the year I am just giving it 2 stars. The place needs up dating, and so does the food. I was surprised to find sugared cashews in my shrimp dish, which really did much to up the taste, but overall the whole thing was… um tasteless.

Just your average Chinese takeout. It hit the spot and I’d probably order takeout from there again due to lack of other options in the area. Nothing to write home about though. Food was ready fast. I liked the General Tso’s tofu. Prices were very reasonable.

This place is gross. I have been going here for 10+ years, and I have been silent because the people tolerated my friends and I coming in stoned through college and high school and the place was cheap. I can be silent no longer. The food is generic at best and rancid at worst. The service is awful. The fat Asian lady(hereinafter«dog lady») who typically works the register, will bark at you upon entry. Don’t mess with this chick on a phone order. She is clearly the slave driver. The dining room is basically their den. The two young ladies who serve you are basically barked at by dog lady. They try their best to help you, but dog lady has so many requests for them, it is basically impossible. Now, rather than hire chid care, dog lady basically brings in her 19 hellion children who run amok around the whole dining room screaming and throwing things. Seriously. This is all happening while you eat. To your left are 2 large tables. This is usually seated by some less than savory individuals peeling your shrimp with no gloves while eating over your unprepared food. Mind you this is all in front of you — in the dining room. I’m general, the carpet is stained and never cleaned. There is only 3 reasons to come here. 1) you are stoned and low on cash. This probably isn’t a problem given it is right outside of Wayne; 2) you are blind, so then you won’t see all of the above, or 3) you want to see every Asian stereotype rolled into one room for under $ 10.

Nothing too special. Egg rolls were ok. Crab Rangoon was good. Crispy, honey chicken walnut wasn’t too bad

After craving some Chinese food for lunch I decided to order some carry-out from Chinese Delight. Overall… Not Bad — Not Great. I think you can see from the other reviews. Wayne, PA isn’t known for it’s Chinese Food. I ordered a lunch special Sweet & Sour Chicken, I got the fried rice and Hot & Sour soup. I also ordered a Spring Roll. $ 8 total. It was hot and tasted decent. I wasn’t blown away by it, but it wasn’t horrible as some people have posted. I thought the sweet & sour sauce was a little thick, but maybe it needed more water in the mix, who knows? The place looked a little dingy inside, but I think that’s par for the course for a local restaurant in the area — that didn’t faze me(but again I was there for carry-out) and not for the atmosphere. Bottom Line — if you want Amazing Chinese food — head to Center City. If you’re hungry for Chinese in Wayne, PA, you’ll do just fine here. Good value for the money.

Disgusting! As soon as it was delivered, I was bringing it BACK! Not from the area, but my dad had surgery at the Laser Spine Inst and our hotel recommended this place. It was so bad I returned it and went on a town hunt for the BEST! I mean we only ordered Shrimp fried rice, chicken wings and broccoli in garlic sauce… idk how the messed that up!!! They only get a star because I HAD to give them one!

My first trip here was in July had I given a review then it would be a 5 star… But went here yesterday after an exhausted workout session and was super disappointed by the service… I was trying to explain to the lady taking my order what I wanted to eat when this other lady who usually works there walked in and said I know what you want and said something in their language to the one taking my order … When I got my food I felt the tears in my eyes … It was not what I wanted :(I was soooo damn hungry and that dish they served felt like leftovers !!! It’s not a bad place if you know what to order …

More like Chinese Depression. Not sure who ticked off the employees here, but everyone I dealt with was curt and generally rude. Pretty ironic considering the name of the joint and the smiley face bags the food comes in. The food is pretty good. I had the veggie low mein, which was superior to most I’ve had. The scallion pancakes tasted a little old, so I will pass on those in the future. The vegetable rolls(don’t call the egg rolls if you don’t want to irritate the woman taking the orders) are delicious. Delivery time: about 45 minutes at 4 p.m. Minimum: $ 12
