We had a TERRIBLE experience with D&D Extreme Clean and do not recommend them. To sum it up, Donna and her brother(the other D) definitely do NOT deliver on what they promise — «extreme clean.» And this review is really long because we are annoyed that we were ripped off by such lazy people. We had just moved into our new house and given that we had a lot of boxes lying around, we told Donna and her crew(two brothers) that they wouldn’t need to mop the floors(just sweep/vacuum) but focus on cleaning the bathrooms, closets and windows. She also promised to mop the attic. She quoted us $ 200 for the job, which I thought was steep(they also didn’t need to clean the kitchen cabinets as I’d already done them). But whatever, we agreed. We were super busy organizing our house and when they said they were done, rushed out to get cash for her — forgetting in all the madness to do a walk through. And neither did she suggest one. Only after they left did we realize that they’d done a shoddy job. They had completely forgotten to clean our ground-floor bathroom! The closets were still dusty and running a rag through them, black dirt showed; she later admitted that they didn’t wipe them down. And the fireplace wasn’t vacuumed at all. Neither did the attic seem clean. I called Donna, and even sent her photos of the dirty closets. She apologized and claimed innocence, i.e., that she shouldn’t have brought her youngest brother, blah blah blah. In subsequent text messages — and they were MANY — she kept on saying that it had never happened before and that they were a great service, blah blah blah, and that she would return to «fix» things. But did she? Oh no. She first tried to charge us for coming back, saying she would«only» charge us $ 100 for the second clean to «make it up.» No way, we said, saying that we were only going to work with her again if she returned to finish the unfinished job at no extra cost. Did she want another chance to prove that D&D lives up to its name? Yes she said. But despite all that talk, and the numerous texts she sent to us over the next few days, she ultimately had no interest in rectifying the situation. The last exchange went like this: she texted to say that she could come by our place on Tues afternoon. We texted her around 1pm to find out her ETA. No reply. Called her at 4pm and texted to ask if she was still coming. And guess what? Her next text was a defensive, rather hostile one, saying that we wouldn’t understand but that she had a family emergency to handle. Why didn’t she just let us know with a simple heads-up, and saved the dramatics? We would have understood. Such an attitude only led us to believe that she was lying through her teeth and never had any interest in returning to finish the job. Donna wasted our time. And we paid $ 200 for the most pathetic cleaning job we’ve ever encountered. Do NOT use them.
