Do It Best is the kind of store that sells quality and stands behind it. This is GREATLY appreciated by those of us who want to follow the advice of my Economics teacher: «Buy it once, buy good quality, and you’ll never have to buy it again.» If you want to invest smartly in the hardware department, Do It Best will supply the appropriate goods. We have been renovating the homes we’ve owned since 2006. We do as much as we can ourselves, and this has turned all our free time into DIY work. With that comes frequent trips to paint and hardware stores. We know them all well. When we want generic quality en mass, we go to Depot or Lowes. When we want cheap tools to get a brief job done, we go to Harbor Freight. Paint mostly comes from Sherwin-Williams, wood trim from Delco Supply, and so on. But when we want an organic repellent for stink bugs(with natural pyrethrin), or a designer color spray from Rustoleum, or a higher-quality version of a garden hose rack, or a tool, etc. all the other places fail in availability and quality, and we can ALWAYS get these things at Do It Best. Very friendly and informative service, and a genuine interest in getting to know the folks in the community. We very much appreciate Do It Best, and without them(and the products they offer), the quality and uniqueness of our renovations would be greatly diminished.

I never leave here with more than I need, and never less. Outstanding customer service and tips to go with your project. I go to no other hardware for my needs. 6 stars.

There is no better retail store. Not just hardware store, retail in general. The people who own the store are beyond amazing, and they have hired nothing but fantastic, knowledgeable employees. I highly recommend trying this place out next time you’re thinking of going to Home Depot.

It’s also known as «Do It Best», which says it all about this hardware store. There are always plenty of guys there to help and most of them really know their stuff, whether you need a piece of glass cut on the spot… advice on what kind of spray paint to use… or direction on which nail to buy. They fill propane tanks(not trade your nice one for a gross rusty one), will put together and deliver a new gas grill and in May, sell tomato plants started from seeds. ***** five stars

Absolutely, THEBEST customer service I have ever experienced. The staff is incredibly friendly in addition to being extremely knowledgeable and helpful. I went there one time to buy the Big Green Egg and vowed I would never buy from another hardware store again. They are truly deserving of the business they receive and any way I can support that, I will.

Awesome store, great people. If you don’t know where it is, right down Pennsylvania Ave from the Wayne Train Station. You would be suprised at the inventory that they carry for your local hardware store. It filled the void left from the old Park Hardware. Well worth the trip.

One of the few joys of living in Wayne is that we still have a locally-owned, well-stocked hardware store. Life without Home Depot is very, very good! Hardware Plus has almost anything one needs for home repair or lawn care. Have a question about plumbing, electrical or paint? The guys at this hardware store can answer it and offer great advice to ensure your repair is a success(and for those like me, that I’ll do no additional damage in my repair attempts). Good luck getting good advice at Home Depot! Need a storm window repaired? No problem. Need something to keep lawn pests at bay? No problem. Need a glass shade for the circa 1920’s lamp in the bedroom? No problem. And if you go in April, check out the array of tomato seedlings. What a variety and always yield abundant, tasty treats! But leave the best ones for me, or I’ll be forced to delete this review. A bit hard to find as it’s hidden behind the tracks, but well worth the trip
