Note: This review is subject to change as things improve. Recent changes at MVC have been frustrating. In particular, dog owners have been punished for the faults of one or two bad owners in a means that has lacked a sense of community. The community has gone from dog friendly to dog tolerant. A recent email actually invited people to report people so they can get a reward — which does not evoke a sense of community. Make no mistake, there are many positives to living at MVC, but the request that those of us carry our small dogs through the hallway and in the elevator when we’re paying a $ 500 non-refundable fee to move in, plus as $ 50 per month dog fee is unacceptable. Lastly, I’d invite MVC to actually survey their residents so they can get a real opinion and learn more what they’d like to see, as opposed to simply acting on what someone who doesn’t live in the facility thinks we want. As I said, I’m open to change this rating as I see improvements as a dog owner. Addendum: I appreciate the response that was given to my review. This said, I find it very hard to believe that anyone surveyed suggested owners carry their small dogs all the way to the dog park or that we are unable to have our dogs in the lobby(which is where our mail is located). As someone in the back of the building to walk my dog, come back, then walk back to the front is an unness. nuisance(esp. considering the majority of these changes are based off of one or two dogs who’s owners are likely known whether anyone is willing to admit it). Additionally, if I was given an opportunity to provide feedback, I’m the type of person who would have, so I’m guessing this feedback is on a once a year basis.
