This store did not have what I was looking for so I walked out. Then one of their salesmen followed me to the parking lot. I thought that was a little strange.

I wish I could indicate MINUSSTARS here. Had a dishwasher installed by PC Richards installer(paid extra of course) and the guy didn’t tighten something enough. Result — dripping for 2 weeks and hardwood floor is ruined. The place needs to be dried out with fans and heaters then new floor put down. PC Richards sends us to their claims dept which is very disinterested(no rocket science on duty here). Wonder how long it will take to get reimbursed thousands here! So the claim was reported on Thursday a.m. It is now Monday evening. If it were up to PC Richards, our tenant would still be living with a wet floor and sleeping with windows open. My husband hired ServPro(great btw) to dry the place out. But we still haven’t heard about out claim, i.e. reimbursement. Tomorrow the wood floor guy comes to discuss replacement to the ruined floor. PLEASEDOYOURSELF A FAVOR — PCRICHARDSDOESNTCARE — DON’T SHOPTHERE.

So I’ve made several big purchases at P.C. Richards over the years and I happened to have a different experience compared to some of the other Unilocalers. Eight years ago I bought a Samsung TV, PS3, Stereo System, and extended warranty on the TV. All of the items still work and I haven’t had any problems so I decided to return recently when shopping for a new dishwasher. The store was busy as always but we were assisted by a gentleman named James. He was very knowledgeable about the various styles and brands and helped us pinpoint exactly what we needed. Due to the fact that I came in with the proper measurements he was able to help us select a unit and schedule the delivery and installation. I must say I didn’t have one issue, so I’m a happy customer and will return in the future.

Came back for my dishwasher because of the helpful and knowledgeable staff. Just price check before you come because after rushing to purchase today I check and every other store is about $ 100 bucks cheaper plus free shipping and install. Here I paid for shipping and paid for install even though they will reimburse me the install.

NOTE‼ Do not buy an extended service contract for a refrigerator from this awful company. Last April I purchased a new refrigerator from this company and opted for an extended service contract past the regular refrigerator company warranty of one year. Here’s my beef with this company. Twice in the last three weeks I have had a service man from PC Richards come to my home to make repairs to my fridge which didn’t work but freezer that worked fine. Get this, the first time comes over his diagnosis of the problem he says, «My this freezer is overcrowded! This is the problem right here!» Before he could utter another word… To my response I told him«No, this is my humble attempt to save money from all the spoiled food I just had to throw away!» I can’t believe the pair on this guy! Who the F does he think he is? So I let this guy do whatever and then before he leaves, suggests I leave the fridge empty for 24 hrs before shopping for food. I take advice monitor and monitor temp which held at 38 degrees. I buy food and two weeks go by and now the fridge reads 60 degrees. WTF??? I call again. I wait all day and then call him on cell number provided from company. He said he is waiting for a part. Same service guy comes by. I told him the freezer wasn’t packed and politely asked him for a proper diagnosis. He tells me that the defroster wasn’t automatically coming on. As I watch him fumble around with some composition pad that had a bunch of scribblings in it, I was able to discern that this man’s methodology of keeping track of things was not up to anyone’s standard except his own. He removes caked ice from coils in freezer and tells me he needs a part. I ask him what about the part he waited for all day.(He got wrong part). He then tells me that he can’t get part till next week and needs to come back. Apparently the only place to get this part exists in LONGISLANDCITY, QUEENS. He asks when can he come can come back. I say MONDAY. He says part won’t arrive by then. I ask, TUESDAY? He says part won’t arrive by then. WEDNESDAY? He said that part won’t arrive by then. Frustrated with this wasted time and BS conversation, I told him to find out when he can get this part and call me. He then tells me not to buy any food till he returns. What I gotta wait another week? Are you friggin kiddin me? It’s not like I live in somewhere in West Bumblef-ck. I live 20 min from NEWYORKCITY! You know the city that never sleeps? Now, I gotta wait another week??? So I do the math… Thinking about the Loss of food of a packed fridge(times 2) + eating out every meal for a family of five for another week equals you can shove this fridge up your @ss mother f-er and I’m going to buy a fridge tomorrow at SEARS! PC Richards? No sorry I meant PC. DICK!

Very disappointed in their service/support after the sale. I bought $ 4K worth of kitchen appliances. They installed the refrigerator and the water dispenser didn’t work. After waiting 6 days for a repair person to look at the unit. and pull the unit apart he did not have the parts with him to fix the appliance. I had to wait another 14 days until the repair person could come back with said parts. I received no communication from the store as to what time of day I could expect service. After waiting all day, and me calling the store 3 times, at 5:30 pm, the repair person is at my development. Lack of communication makes for very poor customer service. Chances are low that I will ever purchase from them again.

Bought a stereo system there and wanted to pay cash. I had to tell four people I wasn’t interested in their credit card. That was annoying enough. A week later I find the same stereo for $ 50 less and had to fight like hell to get my money back which did not come as cash but I had to wait for a check. I never went back and never will.
