Gorgeous trail — clean, safe, well-traveled, which used to be a train track. It sits in the middle of beautiful homes with tons of trees. You can run on paved or gravel surfaces — gravel follows along side the paved path. The total length is about 2.5 miles(one-way). But, we started near Brookside and Conestoga Avenue where there was a trail head. Note: when we googled the trail it took us past this pull off but we never did find where google maps was trying to take us, so we turned around and used the trailhead at Brookside and Conestoga. From that trailhead you can either go left or right. Folks there said it wasn’t far if you went left, so we went right and it was about 2 miles up to the end. Not really long enough for a bike ride and probably too crowded anyway, but there were families there with little kids riding that that seems appropriate use.

Lovely green trail is well-utilized by locals. Safe, nicely paved, and much of the trail has a gravel side option for extra width. Very shady with incredibly tall trees and some grade at the E end of the trail, and more sunny with patches of shade and quite flat in the middle and at the W end. Several parking options along the trail and a port-a-potty at about the halfway mark, at the parking lot near Brookside Ave. Brian M.‘s comment from 2012 is bizarre, as there are plenty of verdant views of the back of houses or trees. The adjacent properties have built individual fences(not by the township to «appease» them), either at the time the railroad went along this way, or after the trail was established and they realized they would have hundreds of people walking just along their back yard lines. I don’t blame them for wanting assurance that nobody would be wandering into their back yards.

Absolutely beautiful with changing scenery. Parts are in direct sun and parts are shaded so its a good variety. Love that they have a porta potty on the trail.

When you aren’t in the mood to do the 5 mile trek in Valley Forge– this is a GREAT alternative. The route is about half and you can bike, walk, run, walk the dogs through pretty green scenery. Since you have houses on both sides of the trail, sometimes you get a wiff of trash. Oh and you have to watch out for the ‘families’ that think they are the only ones on the trail. Other than that, no complaints. Cute, shaded trail to enjoy a brisk run!

A walking, jogging, bike trail that follows an old railroad line. A great idea, but so much of the trail is bordered by high fences, so that you can’t look out onto the adjacent properties, that it becomes a claustrophobic experience with little of anything green to be seen. It’s a shame to waste so much money to build a walking path, and then fence it in to appease adjacent property owners.
