I can’t stand this Shop Rite for so many reasons.
First, you have to put a quarter into the shopping cart before you can take it into the store. You usually get it back when you leave, but the last time I did this it was stuck in there and I didn’t get it back.
Inside the store it is dark and dreary. It creeps me out. The last time I was there I was in there for a long time and the music they were playing kept skipping the entire time. There was also this high pitched screeching sound that made me feel like I was going insane.
The food selection is not good. It’s disorganized and they are lacking a lot of things that most shop rites have.
It seems more expensive too. I got one tomato for $ 3.88 and the cashier actually asked me if I wanted to put it back because he couldn’t believe how much it was. Oh and I wanted to get a happy birthday balloon so I picked one that was already blown up. It had no price but when I paid for it, it was $ 12.99. Then when I walked outside the thing came unraveled from the string and flew into the air and disappeared.
Also, they don’t bag your items and there is no SR Liquors attached.
I say this every time I go there, but I seriously am not going back to this place!

DEAR SHOPRITE: HIRE NEW DRIVERS!!! Got my food delivered late almost every time. Other times they left my food bags in the van or in the store and had to come back. One driver was 4 hours late. My friend who works there said drivers are not allowed to have anyone in the van, and this driver brings a friend. I feel cheap giving a small tip, but I don’t think his friend should jump in and get a tip from me for carrying a couple bags. I doubt he was training this guy bc he’s been to my house a dozen times. Marcia from the store is SO nice. Couple nice shopper employees, also a few lazy ones who don’t look hard enough. Only use the delivery due to my illness that prohibits me from shopping for myself. Never been inside the store.

Sale items are frequently not in stock. And it takes much too long to get a rain check. When you come back a week or two later the rain check item frequently is not on the shelves. If they are unable to properly stock sale items they should offer rain checks that don’t expire and/​or substitutions. Most of the employees are apathetic and their bathrooms are usually unclean.

I have been doing online shopping for years. I don’t know if it is the employees who are getting your groceries are not trained properly. But I have had rotten fruit, missing items etc. Last week was the final straw my order time was between 5 – 7 and I received my order at 9 pm. They have finally lost me for a customer who shops online 1x a week. There produce is the worse and they are always out of stock

This is the third time we are complaining about this store. For the last 3 times the ground beef that we’re buying from this place smells and tastes awful. The first one was not even beef, I am 100% sure that that one was not beef, it was ground pork but on the label it looked like beef.
This time the entire meat smelled like liver and not quality beef. I will not be buying any meat from this store, I previously called and told them my complaint and they told they would look into it and they were sure of their meat. Oh I wish they smelled the meat this time, it was exactly smelling like liver. Very poor quality meat, very disappointed in this store. Will not go back to this store and will definitely tell all of my friends not to buy any meat from this store!!!

It is one of the better supermarkets around the area. I come here often to get the usuals. However, I wish they had more items on sale. Regardless, they have everything you need.

I disagree with the other reviews. This is the most well rounded supermarkets in a 5 mile radius. Faster cashers than most spots. Best meat prices.

So I don’t love this Shop Rite because it does seem older and darker. It doesn’t seem to have as much to choose from in the produce section, and things do seem more expensive than other places.
Parking can be dicey as people seem to limit where they are able to park and concentrate directly in front of the store. All in all, I’ve experienced better.

Prices are good. Well stocked. Parking lot is a mess and can only go south out of the lt.

Thi store is way over priced for a «newer «store its dirty unplanned aisles can’t find anything you pay a quarter to use a cart what few there are and you can’t get them
unchained to few employees nit enough check outs open won’t be shopping there again anytime soon and a lot of the posted «sales «have expired days earlier and if you don’t read them you don’t know until you’ve already checked out that’s just wrong

Their prices are good and they usually have sale items in stock. So why two stars? Their «courtesy» counter is slow as molasses and anything but curteous. It’s almost like they purposely avoid you until you get in their face. This is common in many Shop Rites; upper management should really really work on this. Also, this Shop Rite can get packed and check out lines are long.
