I can’t understand why Unilocal has this place listed as closed. I was just in the store yesterday picking up some glasses.
Whitaker’s has a nice selection of frames and even has an in-​house optometrist for eye exams and contact lens fittings. I ended up at Whitaker because my health insurance plan recently subcontracted all vision coverage to another vision-​only insurer and Whitaker was one of the few places in the area that deal with the new insurer.
The only complaint I have with Whitaker is that you are never sure they are going to be open when you go. They do not seem to always follow their posted hours. So definitely call ahead!
