really do not understand what anyone seems to find great about this place. it is not bad but nothing impressive either. it is the same premade stuff bought from a distributor as most other places around here. the people are nice, but that is all. was told by many people that it is awesome and was disappointed. The chicken is what they all seem to rave on but it reminded me of Boston Market. Honestly the roasted chicken from Wal-Mart is better. the inside is dingy and old, the kitchen that is open to see is messy and falling apart. looks like a house kitchen from the 80s. not worth the time for a special trip.

Mathias’s has the best subs in town, Shiner Bock on tap, best pizzas in town too. Try the various kinds. Get the pizza with the kitchen sink on it steamer, onions, mushrooms and more… so good. They have great broasted chicken too. If you don’t know where it is turn down Cleveland Ave, just after you pass Potomac Street headed west. Head down three blocks on the right. It is worth a trip.
