If you have an annual permit, Spring Valley doesn’t cost a thing. Even if you don’t have a permit, it’s very affordable at $ 5 per person for a whole day of shooting. The range doesn’t rent firearms or sell much of anything, but the range master was kind enough to give me a few adhesive targets when the silhouettes I brought were a bit too big for the 15-yard range. The handgun ranges are at 15 and 25 yards. The rifle ranges go to 100. Cease-fires are called by the shooters themselves, which can be a bit awkward. I suppose that would be my only complaint about this range. It is covered, which is nice on hot days, and the range also offers archery and a hand trap-shooting area.
