Oh, my! I tried a couple of ice creams before deciding to go with salted caramel. There were even bits of vanilla wafers in it. I chose the cinnamon waffle cone. The warm cone was so good and the cinnamon in the cone went well with the salted caramel ice cream. I got a kid-​sized cone and it was a very generous one scoop and I would have been overwhelmed with anything bigger.

What can you say about Jack’s except it is amazing. The only place I’ve ever been that serves warm fresh made waffle cones with ice cream. Lots of flavor, so hard to choose! I love when I’m in NC, I go all the time! Don’t miss out!

This place is amazing. I have never been to an ice cream parlor that makes the cone right in front of you. Add a very large selection of ice cream flavors to meet everyone’s taste and you get an excellent ice cream joint.

The ice cream is delicious and so many flavors to choose from. The best part was the homemade waffle cones! I had the cinnamon waffle cone which is made when your order it!

I am an ice cream snob so this place got three stars because the ice cream was just food and the warm cinnamon waffle cone was great. I had the salted Carmel that was a little on the too sweet side and less on the flavor. You can tell a lot about an ice cream she it melts and the consistency of this ice cream was less creamy than I like. The staff was very friendly and you can taste anything. The was a giant checkers board on the table and lots of children’s art on the wall. A very family friendly place and they also give a military discount. For two small waffle bowls and the military discount it came to $ 7.00. My husband love his and ate the feast of mine. He had the butter pecan that was filled with large nuts and the old fashioned banana pudding ice cream. I would come again if there was nothing else available.

I am kind of an ice cream snob but this place still satisfies me. The made to order cones are awesome, I prefer the cinnamon cone.
They have ice cream from The Hop which is awesome but need to showcase what it is so people know. Should be big signs saying fresh, local made ice cream. They also have Mayfield Ice Cream which is not good in my opinion but when you need sweet it works.
The staff is always nice but the line flow when ordering sucks. They could use a mini rat maze to get people in an orderly line.
Inside could be cleaned more, often times tables and floors are dirty and trash overflowing. One trashcan has a sign saying «tell us if this is full and please don’t add more if full». Ahhhhh no that is your job to keep an eye on the trash not your customers. Will you want me to sweep the floor next?
All in all it’s a great place and within walking distance for me so we go a lot.

Been going to the Jack the Dipper store in Sylva for years now! This one is not so different. They have about 24 types of regular ice cream and another 8 – 10 vegan ones. They’re mainly Mayfield ice cream. Nothing super different or special there, but solidily delicious!
The BEST thing, and what takes this place to 5-​star land is the hot waffle cones. Have them make you a fresh cone and have them mix in vanilla or cinnamon too! Awesome.
Just learned that you can actually get 2 different flavors in your cone. So today I got a scoop of blueberry cobbler and one of moose tracks. Perfect!
And get a rewards card punched. Every 7th ice cream is free. You’ll be back, trust me!

The ice cream here is just Mayfield’s, which I don’t consider to be of much quality, BUT, it is still worth going to for the homemade waffle cones they make fresh right in front of you. It only gets 3 stars because I’m an ice cream snob but I do not regret my stop here and neither will you.
There’s also plenty of vegan options if you’re into that sort of thing.

#JackTheDipper — Great name! We just moved here from the big city and were needing an ice cream fix. This place hit the spot! Tons of flavors. Fun environment. Dog friendly to boot. We got the Dutch Chocolate, Peachy Peach, Blueberry Pie — all in the vanilla waffle cone bowls. You can’t go wrong.

I’m not sure how no one has reviewed this place. It’s out of this world amazing. The warm waffle cone is to die for. I had sea salt caramel waffle cone and I could have two more.
If you’re looking for a cute hole in the wall ice cream place, come here, you won’t be disappointed! I wish I could have given this place a higher rating.
