The bartender Marlin was beyond amazing and made us a warm vodka infused drink that was spectacular and I had scallops which tasted like heaven in my mouth and my sister had the filet with blue cheese and fried onions and she loved it. I cannot wait to go back! They were attentive and very talented.

Great food, Fab service good times. Place is a little pricey but so worth it. Our server was wonderful and very accommodating.

The food was very good, the service was just fine. Beautiful setting right on Lake Minnetonka. If you love beef and you have a lot of money, this is a wonderful place for you. The wait staff knows their meat and they enjoy telling you about each cut. My «beef» if you will, is it is simply overpriced. Two burgers, two glasses of wine and a dessert plus a respectable tip(service is good, and you should tip accordingly, no matter what you think of the menu prices) shouldn’t top out at $ 85-$ 90. If you don’t mind paying $ 30-$ 50 and more for entrees, $ 15 for appetizers– go for it! You will have a lovely meal in a beautiful setting. Given there is also wonderful food at the other end of Lake Street for less, you might also want to check that out. No, you aren’t sacrificing quality — it’s just a different mindset of what people will pay. I think if the menu were more varied in price points I might go back — but until then, I’m not that into beef that I want to pay those prices.

Everyone at 6 Smith provided wonderful service. From the moment we arrived our host was attentive and accommodating. Our server friendly and informative. The atmosphere is warm and inviting. Our food was very good. Everyone enjoyed their entrée. Steak Salad, Beet Salad with Scallops and Sea Bass. All where excellent. Desert was wonderful :) We will be back for sure, looking forward to outdoor dining this summer.

NYE dinner. Was delicious and service was outstanding. I forgot to take a picture of the flatbread but would highly recommend. It comes with amazingly fresh ricotta, honey and jam.

Great brunch here. We are snobby residents of NEMPLS and this earned our enthusiastic approval. Brunch format for ~$ 25 was well justified by a glorious spread and an included mimosa, prosecco, OJ or peach bellini. The brunch buffet included big juicy shrimp, delicious beet & chevre green salad, some of the best smoked salmon I’ve had, perfectly cooked lobster scrambled eggs, «I can’t place why these are so good» cheesy potatoes, and much more. Macarons with a surprise hazelnut inside were just spectacular. Elegant, spacious interior and lovely view of the lake just added to the experience. We’ve been disappointed by «fine dining» in Wayzata before, but this was fantastic. Hope they have better luck than previous tenants and stick around for many brunches to come.

Nice ambiance, good view of the lake. Easy parking with a large open lot(in summer it might be a lot more difficult). Had the lobster gnocchi and calamari for apps, heirloom tomato salad, and the filet. Everything was good except the gnocchi which was way overdone(tasted more like mashed potatoes). Service was friendly. A bit pricy for the quality, but I might go again if I was in the mood for nice dinner in that part of town.

I had such an amazing experience with my co workers. The restaurant was next to the Wayzata Lake. Make sure you call in advance to make reservations to sit next to the lake. We got here just in time to see the sunset and had such an amazing view of the lake before dinner was served. Aside from the view, the food and service was world class. I ordered the grilled scallop over veggies. The scallop was perfectly grilled where it was cooked throughly and tender. The must order is any of their steaks. I highly recommend the filet mignon. They season this steak so well and cooked it just the way I liked it medium well. Every bite was juicy and I looked forward to the next bite. Don’t forget to order a side too. I recommend the corn. Our server was very helpful with the menu and made good recommendations around the time. He constantly checked in on us too. Everyone was overall very pleased with our intimate dining experience. I would highly recommend coming back again for special occasions. Enjoy!

We ate lunch during«Restaurant Week» and it was nothing short of amazing from start to finish. I was a little concerned about bringing our 6 month old but the staff was very welcoming! We sat on the patio and enjoyed the view while we ate a truly wonderful meal. Our server was friendly and attentive. The salmon was cooked perfectly and the shrimp entrée was as delicious as it looked. We will definitely be back! Side note-I checked out the kids menu out of curiosity and was impressed with the number of options and reasonable prices.

I came back to 6Smith again, but this time I got to sit on the rooftop on a beautiful day. I was celebrating my anniversary, and it was the perfect place to go! The rooftop is beautiful, I think it’s like a hidden gem, especially on a nice day! The view of the lake is gorgeous and we were sitting right by the balcony edge. For food, we ordered apps which is always what I find myself doing. We got the lobster sliders which were amazing, calamari which is always delicious and the truffle fries which are double fried fries with sauce I could drink because it’s too good. We had our wine and beer and I had absolutely nothing to complain about! Service is always good/friendly! I would highly recommend. :)

I’ve gone to 6Smith a few times, normally just for drink. Last night I went and stayed at the bar for a while and ate dinner. First off, all the staff was very friendly and seemed to genuinely care about the customer. They were laid back yet professional and timely. Secondly, their food is great. I had the Black Pepper Shrimp app and a Chicken Sandwich for dinner and both were excellent. I also tasted the Bacon and Bourbon which was great also. Prices are a little high but really not terrible for the location and quality of food. For this who don’t know, this restaurant is right off Wayzata Bay beach and has a boardwalk running along the lake as well as a 2nd level overlooking the Lake Minnetonka/Wayzata Bay. Absolutely perfect for a date night on a warm night. It does close a little earlier than most places, 10 on weekdays, 11 on weekends. I would suggest heading to 6Smith for dinner and then maybe walk along the lake down to Cov for a drink. Being a Wayzata native I might be biased but in my opinion, this is the kind of place that warm Minnesota nights are best enjoyed.

Very prejudiced management and staff, they save the good tables for their«high end» white customers. Make you wait or stand to get a table that they think«suits» you! Felt ill treated, am getting tired for such places. Food was average. Poor service, they ignore good customers to cater to their«high-end» If it wasn’t for the location they would close in weeks. Shame on the manager and seating staff for such appalling prejudice

Go for the view, and stay for the caddy shack! I truly crave those yummy drinks! They have an excellent happy hour. This is one of the«new» places to go in Wayzata. It also has the price tag to go with it… However the prime rib sandwich is to die for! The tomato soup is fantastic, and my sister had a delicious salad. The service is top notch, and I truly appreciate an honest server! Our waiter shared his favorites and what was just«ok». He even brought samples of entrees to make sure we liked what we ordered. It is a cool place to go and I sure hope this place stays open! The prior places didn’t last…

We all really enjoyed this place! Our waiter, Big Daddy, made our experience! He was funny and knew the menu well. We had ideas in mind for what to order, but he guided us in the right direction. We started with the beef cheek nachos and lobster guacamole nachos. Both were delicious, but we all liked the beef cheek nachos more. I got the scallops and the flavors all meshed so well together. Another person with us ordered the sea bass which was healthy and tasty. Although I was partial to the scallops I ordered, everyone at the table agreed the filet mignon was the best. The baked potato was huge and really, really good. It was smothered in cheese, bacon and butter. We all did wish they gave bread and butter to begin, but with the two appetizers we ordered we were fine. The location was gorgeous on the lake and the weather couldn’t have been better to dine outside tonight. A solid five stars!

LOVE this place! We had a fabulous table outside downstairs. You can also get a table outside upstairs for a livelier atmosphere but amazing views. Enjoyed Brussels sprouts as our appetizer and shared the sea bass — perfect portions to SHARE! Leave room for specialty desserts & cocktails. Make reservations because it’s hopping! Best part was the upstairs view. Can’t be beat! Music on Friday nights upstairs — DJ. Pricey place so be prepared! Variety of people there from old to young & singles & couples. Will return!

Great location along the lake with fabulous views! Staff was friendly and establishment was clean. Their signature appetizer, beef cheek nachos, was delicious. The flank steak entrée was cooked perfectly. We also had the lobster guacamole and curry shrimp which could have used some more seasoning. We ordered the clam chowder with high expectations and it was a complete miss. It took a while to come out because they were out when we ordered and when it was served, it had a horrible burnt taste. We sent it back and our waiter took it off the bill. It sounded like the table behind us also experienced some mishaps with their food. They have a brownie dessert which is every chocolate fan’s dream — rich and moist. The apple bread pudding is a great alternative for those not so into chocolate. I would definitely return just for the lake side dining. If they improved their food, they would definitely be a force to be reckoned with!

I will return! Inventive menu, beyond the steaks. We had several of the appetizers and I was blissful… and stuffed. Friendly service from the hostess to the wait staff. Our server, Robert, was friendly, and attentive. Posting photos of some our favorites tonight.

I continue to love this place. Service is friendly and so accommodating. Food delish, and now that the patio is open you simply can’t beat dining al fresco with a view of the lake. We had the flat bread with riccota, honey and jam for an app today and it was awesome. We housed two plates in a matter of minutes. For lunch I had the tomato soup(so fresh) and chicken salad sandwich. Lunch size portions were hearty enough to be full when I left.

Ate a brunch buffet here one day during a winter event they were having. I don’t know if they typically do a brunch buffet or not. Anyway, it was pretty good for the price. My only complaint was they could have used something«fresh» like a fruit salad to cut through all the heavy bacon, sausage, french toast, etc. The space is gorgeous and the waiters were ALL H-O-T in their leather aprons. Yum. I’d go back just for that.

I loved the amazing rooftop view, the new school specialty cocktails, and the asparagus with egg small plate since they were unique. We also had a really good waitress who made great recommendations on the food and cocktails. I got here around 5:00 on Friday and got a decent spot on the rooftop and about an hour later it was packed the rest of the night. It’s probably because they only have happy hour inside downstairs until 6:00. They don’t do happy hour on their rooftop patio which didn’t really surprise me since most places don’t. The cons were that the lobster roll was measly and way over priced for the quality. It didn’t come with that much lobster or fries which was disappointing. The lobster roll at Stella’s in Uptown was better! The oysters Rockefeller had a good taste but some tiny shells got mixed into one of them so I had to take them out of my mouth piece by piece. The chef must have been kind of careless since this hasn’t happened with oysters I’ve had at Blue Point Oyster across the street. This place also only has one stall for the women’s bathroom! If a place has an extensive specialty cocktail menu then they should have more bathroom stalls. I would come back for their happy hour someday and for the roof top view since I can’t think of any other rooftop bar around here that has a nice view of the lake.
