Punch Neapolitan Pizza – Wayzata

Great pizza and salads! I always ask for extra sauce on my pizza. If you have never tried this place yet then you’ve been missing out.

Really good pizza, if you’re a fan of the very thin Neopolitan style. There’s nothing quite like a hot pizza coming right out of a 900 degree oven. You can order your own ingredients or they have different combos with set toppings. I ordered the margharita with goat cheese and sausage and the Maximus. Not enough sausage on the first pizza, could hardly taste any, but that delicious chewy dough sure makes up for it. The Maximus was a bit too hot for me, but still delicious. I really enjoy coming here, and the short wait is a big plus.

Come here all the time … Love the pizza. However, the place is dirty … The floor, bathroom, tables, everything is dirty

Best Italian pizza since I had Neapolitan pizza in Naples in 1983.

my wife has eaten punch pizza many times so she introduced me to it. my wife’s go to is the gorgonzola salad and the rocket salad. she’s reproduced the rocket salad at home since there are only a few ingredients involved but still would prefer ordering from punch. sometimes it just tastes better when someone else makes it. the good thing with getting a salad is that it comes with focaccia bread. my wife has always just dipped it in olive oil but when i first went there with her, i dipped it in olive oil and balsamic. it was so good. my wife didn’t like the balsamic taste too much but she grew to love it in time. we have tried the bruni, palermo, toscano & toto pizza’s. once in awhile we personalize and craft it to our own liking. as for apps, we have tried the punch salad, chopped italian salad, gorgonzola salad, rocket salad, artichoke dip and the focaccia bread. at first i found the pizza to be too limp in the middle as i was not able to pick it up and eat it so i ate it with a fork and knife. eventually i stopped and just ate it with my hand since i was dipping it in the oils. my wife has ordered and taken the pizza and focaccia bread home before but it’s just not the same. it loses flavor and gets stale fast. i was not impressed the first few times she brought it home. that’s why i never wanted to go eat in. i will have to say that you have to be there and eat it fresh. service is fast, the employee shirts are nice looking (my wife would love one) and the food is great. my wife’s ex co-​worker used to live in italy and he said that this place is legit because the pizza tastes just like italy. for those who are used to the normal pizza chain restaurants may find this to be bland and with not a lot of toppings but this is neapolitan style.

First time at this Punch Pizza, just like the other Punch pizzas I have been to its good pizza. There are a lot of better pizza out there, but Punch fits a niche market. Price, quality, and overall service experience was on point,.

Punch has the best pizza I have ever had. Available within 2 minutes after ordering. Nice inside atmosphere. Pleasant wait staff. No telephone calls for pickup, because wait time is so short.

The wife and I tried it a few weeks ago and we were fairly impressed with the freshness but more so how fast it was ready. Did carry out last night, pizza was ready in five minutes. That is better than any so called fast food place.
I guess the pizza must be good because the wife is insisting on it again tonight.
They need to start a punch card program.

Went there with the family for thanksgiving eve 14′ pizza good a always but we were swarmed with fruit flies. Yuk.

My sister visits Punch frequently as their pizza is ammmmaaazing. Last week, we stopped in at the Wayzata location to get a pizza to go. When we got home we were disappointed that our pizza order was prepared incorrectly. I left a message notifying the restaurant of our order mistake and I was pleased to receive a call back from the manager offering a sincere apology and a gift card. Not only is the food here great, the customer service is OUTSTANDING! Thanks! We will remain Punch Pizza regulars.
BTW the salads here are out of this world as well!

I went here last week with my family. We ordered a full round of pizzas of different types and every single one was soaking wet and dripping limp. My 10 year old asked if they were supposed to taste like wet white bread. There was no flavor to any of them except the margarita extra (which didn’t seem that different than the normal margarita except one had flavor while the other did not). There is an assembly line type feel to the chef’s on the pizza line. We have been on the hunt for a delicious pizza since we moved to the cities but we’ll have to keep searching because this one seems like the subway of pizza restaurants. I was very disappointed after hearing all the reviews.

This place is delicious. My friend and I ordered three pizzas to try (we were hungry, okay?): Margarita extra, bruni (I think), and one with prosciutto (can’t remember the name). They were all amazing. Neither one of us could pick a favorite because they all rocked. The center of the crust was pretty flimsy, but I just rolled it up like a taco and it was fine. The end of the crust was amazing though. Ingredients tasted fresh.
The service we received was also great. Everyone was very friendly and prompt with our requests. Pizza was out in 7 minutes– All three!
I will definitely be going back. And you should too because it’s tasty.

Another in the the growing punch chain with the same authentic Neapolitan pizza cooked in a flash in their super hot oven. I like the Toscano DOC.
At this outlet parking is in the back. They also have a nice patio if you don’t mind all the road noise from Wayzata Blvd.

I love Punch Pizza; the food is amazing and the pizza is some of the best I’ve ever had. Truly reminds me of the pizza in Italy with fresh ingredients and amazing crust. The wood fire taste is unbeatable. It’s a good thing I live two towns away or I’d be fat and broke thanks to Punch.

PROS: As far as fast food Neapolitan pizza places go, Punch is one of the best. The quality is very consistent and the flavor is excellent. Their crust’s flavor is excellent.
I’m also a big fan of their Pinch Salad. I usually add anchovies instead bacon. Highly recommend it.
CONS: I would like to see more protein topping options like chicken or beef.
PARKING: Depends on the location. Some are a little challenging such as the Minneapolis location, others not so much such as the Wayzata or Uptown location.
All-​in-​all, when it come to fast-​food Pizza, the nearest Punch is what I search for.

Excellent Neo style pizza. They do tend to char the crust more at this Wayzata location than they do at the others though. So, you may get a slightly «ashy» tasting p’za here. But, still very good. For my money the lake Calhoun location makes the best pies.

I really want to like Punch. They offer unique flavor selection. But I can’t get over the soggy middle and burnt edges that I have been served EVERY time I visit the Wayzata location (probably 5 – 6 times). I think wood fire pizza can be better, right?

Goal: Try every single special pizza that they have on the menu. So far I have been making some good progress. The only issue is I end up finding a new favorite one and am tempted to get it again next time I drop in for lunch. You seriously can’t go wrong at this place. The menu caters to everyone’s taste pallet. The options are endless, especially if you decide to be creative and build your own pizza. If you aren’t the creative type or just don’t feel like thinking there is a variety of set pizzas that you can just order. I usually find it hard to eat an entire small pizza but am able to do it with ease at Punch. The dough is light and tasty. The ingredients that are on each pizza are very high quality and bring out the flavor of the dough. If you are lucky and visiting this place when you are not on a lunch break from work you can grab a cold beer or glass of wine to wash it all down. They seem to have some pretty decent options for the adult beverages. Guess I’ll have to venture off and try to make it out when I’m not at work so I can partake. Great staff and the food is literally at your table within minutes after ordering. Bonus about this place is they have an outdoor patio.

I’ve been coming here for a few year now and have always had good experiences. Food comes out quickly and I always order a pizza and salad. Toppings are quality and service is friendly.

This is true Italian pizza, so if you’re craving Chicago style I suggest you look elsewhere.
The ingredients are top quality, and cooked in a wood fired oven.
Price can greatly vary depending on you/group’s appetite. Most customers get their own, so the $$$ can add up if you’re throwing down the «straight cash homie.»
Managers are friendly and are interested in your feedback.
Their marketing/​deals are all now social media; sign up and save — they don’t abuse it.
Parking can be a cluster, especially in peak summer times.
