Been coming here for years. One of the friendliest places around. Food is great. Service is outstanding.

We go here quite often and always enjoy it! Delicious food and friendly service. It’s our regular place to bring the family when is don’t want to cook(usually once a week). The kiddos love their homemade Mac and Cheese!

Very disappointing experience at this restaurant today. I requested a second cup of tea, and discovered on my bill that I was charged for a whole second cup– $ 1.50 for water and a tea bag. All around me people were drinking multiple cups of coffee, but because I was drinking tea I was charged $ 1.50TWICE. When I questioned the fairness of the charge, and the fact that I was not warned I would be charged for the second cup, the young woman told me she was the manager and that was that. She could care less that I ultimately paid $ 3.00(plus tax) for two tea bags and about 20 oz of water. Didn’t even use sugar or cream. Frankly, I felt cheated. My husband and I will not be coming back. They lost my business for an 18¢ tea bag. I am giving the restaurant 3 stars because the food is good. Decide for yourself how you feel about my experience. Update– after posting this review on my facebook page, the Manager responded with a post full of such mean and spiteful language that my entire community was talking about it for a week. I have actually been banned from ever visiting that restaurant again. Make of that what you will…

Fantastic food off the beaten path. Friendly and attentive staff, and owners that clearly love food. Always different specials with one thing in common, they’re delicious. You have to try the Spinach dip!

The restaurant is clean and the wait staff is prompt and friendly. There is a decent menu available with daily specials. The food was served hot, and the restaurant is definitely kid friendly. I had the mixed grill, which included chicken pounded flat and cooked just right(tender) and sirloin tips(I ordered medium rare) which were also cooked perfectly. The mashed potatoes were also good. The portions were sizeable and the prices just right. The atmosphere is relaxed and quiet(it may have been a less busy time). Overall quite good and worth a visit when you’re planning to eat out somewhere.

Looking for a place to stop for dinner on the way home on a typical weeknight, I stopped at the Weare Town Grille(formerly Hungry Moose), which is a local casual family restaurant and bar located on Route 114, at the southern junction with Route 77. This place serves up breakfast, lunch, and dinner 6 days a week, closed on Mondays. The menu offerings include sandwiches, salads, appetizers, soups, chicken, seafood, steaks, pasta dishes, kids menu, and desserts(ice cream, brownie sundae, cheesecake, tiramisu). Posted specials are offered here. Pepsi drinks served here. The prices here are pretty fair, most entrees priced $ 9.99-$ 17.99. The atmosphere inside is homey and welcoming and has the feel of a country restaurant. There are some antiques mounted on the walls in the dining room. The place is clean with a separate dining room and cozy lounge, which has a full bar with TVs. Drink specials are offered here including $ 1 off drafts and well drinks on Tuesday and Wednesdays. After I was seated, house ice water was poured and I ordered the 8 oz Sirloin Tips($ 9.99) which included a starch and vegetable of the day. The food was served to me in about 20 minutes, all the while listening to the country music playing over the speakers. The Sirloin Tips were really good, and cooked to my liking. These marinated tips served with mushrooms, peppers, and onions, were very flavorful, tender and chewy and had a very similar taste to what my buddies cook up at a tailgate before a football game. The mashed potatoes were homemade with nice chunks and good tasting. The vegetable of the day were standard niblet corn. Overall, a good dinner had and I passed on dessert on this visit. The service here was pretty laid back and good. I would definitely return to the Weare Town Grille for another meal. HOURS(on menu): Tues-Thurs: 6AM-9PM; Fri: 6AM-10PM; Sat: 7AM-10PM; Sun: 7AM-8PM. There was also a sign outside for weekend breakfast.
