We stopped at Wanda’s because my husband loves breakfast and Wanda’s has that diner-type look and the parking lot is usually packed. We were there at about 11:00 on a Saturday morning. After waiting a few minutes without so much as eye contact from anyone working there, a man hands me 2 menus and points to a table in the middle of the room. We sat down and it was a good 5 minutes before anyone else even acknowledged us. The chairs were dirty and had cracked vinyl. I wiped up crumbs and a smear of something on the table with a napkin. We should have left then. When the waitress did come to our table, we were ready to order drinks and our meals. My husband got a water and a coffee. The coffee came just before our meal and wasn’t good. The food was ok– not great. We had an omelette and biscuits and gravy and weren’t impressed with any of it. After asking a couple times, my husband finally got his water when he was nearly finished with his meal. There are too many other dining options in the area. We won’t be back.

Worst excuse for a breakfast biscuit we have ever had. We usually go for lunch and the food is usually pretty good. But we went for breakfast and ordered the biscuits and gravy… huge mistake!!! Their idea of a biscuit is a cheap, airy, dried out, crumbly, square dinner roll. It was bad enough that we wanted to cancel everything and walk out. We complained but we still got charged for them and we didn’t even eat them. When you try to pick one up the whole thing falls in to a bunch of crumbly dried out pieces. We told the waitress there must be some mistake that we got old dinner rolls instead of biscuits. She said no that’s our biscuits. She said she can have them make some more but they would turn out the same. We will never eat there for breakfast again. They were so bad that we felt obligated to let people know through Unilocal what they’re in for if they have breakfast at this establishment. Or order the toast instead, surely they can’t mess that up.

This place was not clean, and our waitress didn’t like that we added an item to our breakfast ticket after the preliminary order. Why is it a problem to order more food and give you more of my money? Shouldn’t be, but I guess it was.(Note to waitresses and management: customers can hear when you complain about them, mainly because you’re yelling.) However, we should have waited to taste the food we first ordered, because had we done that, we would have never added on. Everything ended up being a bland afterthought of a meal. There are always lots of cars here which is why we wanted to try it, but based on our mediocre breakfast and unfortunate service, I honestly can’t imagine why. We will not be returning.

We were driving through Texas really looking for a great diner. We happened to stumble across this little restaurant. The food was great! I would recommend it if you are passing through and are need of some good grub!

Bland food, sub-par service, and about everything else you’d expect from a small town café. This place is decent for breakfast if it’s early and you don’t mind being glared at by the regulars. The lunch isn’t anything special.

The food was good. The service was horrible. I was in there at 2:00 pm they were not busy. The waitress took my order in good time. A different waitress brought my food. The first waitress was too busy talking on her phone to come back and take care of me. I sat ther about 15 min because I was going to have banana pudding and I needed a box I finally gave up and left. I will not go back there again.

Not yummy at all. Ordered pan fried steak that was chicken fried steak without breading and very bland. The vegetable beef soup was bland also. Loved the baked potato and cornbread though.

Best Steak in town or even all of the Fort Worth area. The steaks are char grilled and season to perfection. There are menu choices are for the whole family and the portions are large. The Jalapeño Cheese appetizer is awesome!

Do you like to be called Hun or Sugar? If so, this is your palce. We stumbled across this place while leaving the Parker County Peach Festival(Disappointment! Shouldn’t there be peaches at a peach festival?). It was lunchtime and the parking lot was packed so we decided we’d give it a try. I was a truck driver for about 20 years and this place is the stereo typical truck stop diner although there is not a truck stop for miles. My husband and I both had the chicken fried steak special. This was a HUGE steak, two sides, rolls to die for, and iced tea. I had the mashed potatoes and something which were really good but my husband had the potato salad and fried okra. Now I cannot stand fried okra but the potato salad was probably the best I’ve ever had.(Sorry Mom) We closed the meal with some peach cobbler. A little too sweet for my tastes but still very good.(hey we finally had a peach after going to the peach festival WHERETHEREWERENOPEACHES.) Here’s my iced tea snob thing again. Their tea was great. Good and strong. It tasted like tea and not like dirty water. Great food and even better tea; when in Weatherford, we’ll be back.

Nice country diner. Stopped here on our visit to Weatherford. Just pulled in because we saw a lot of cars out front. I love chicken fried steak and they have a good one. They have a lunch special for 8 dollars that you get to choose what main dish you want about 5 choices. I picked chicken fried steak. And it is real not a frozen patty. It was not a overly large steak it is a fair size. And you get 2 sides I like fried okra it was cooked just right. I wish I had a little more. And I had the potato salad and it was wonderful best I had in a long time. And the meal comes with a big glass of tea. You also get rolls. The service was very good friendly and fast did not wait long for food. I like the restaurant just a large open room plenty of space. The waitress are very good helpful and friendly. Down home cooking.

Amazing! My go-to stop before fishing at Lake Weatherford. It is true, this place is consistently amazing, EVERYTIME I go!!! They do have the greatest Biscuits and gravy I have ever had. The biscuits have always been so soft, hot, and fresh, every time I go.

Had breakfast here and everything was good. Friendly service and a tasty chicken-fried steak and eggs made this a good visit. Very casual atmosphere and reasonable prices makes this a good spot to grab breakfast.
