Long story short: This dentist office tried to charge me over $ 300 for a simple teeth cleaning, despite verifying insurance coverage prior to my visit. They were very rude when I tried to resolve the billing error. They only capitulated when my insurance company forced them to null the fees. I would not recommend this office unless you are prepared to receive large, unexpected bills. Long story: I went to this dentist to get a routine teeth cleaning. Beforehand, I confirmed with them that I would only be responsible for a $ 25 co-pay. Several months after my visit, however, the dentist sent me a bill for over $ 300. Despite being a routine cleaning(no cavities, etc), the dentist tacked on a bunch of extra«services» that were not covered by insurance. They also tried to bill me for the difference between their fees and what the insurance company paid, which is forbidden by the insurance company. The dentist office was very rude when I talked to them about the billing errors. They were steadfast that there were no mistakes. It ultimately took 5 phone calls to resolve the bill, which finally ended when I set up a conference call between the dentist office and the insurance company in which the insurance company told the dentist office to null the bill. The dentist office ultimately admitted that a former employee was responsible for the billing errors and that billing problems were widespread. They apologized and promised it would never happen again. However, this does not make up for the fact that the office was very rude and completely disinterested in admitting and fixing their billing errors. I imagine that many other customers have been forced to pay for the office’s billing mistakes. It’s unfortunate that this dentist office has so many billing problems because I actually liked the dentist and the facility. I will never visit this dentist office again.
