When I’m in the mood for Chinese, I always choose this place bc I like their food. That’s about it…

I’ve been ordering from here for the past couple of months it appears that the Buffet portion of the restaurant is now unavailable. This leaves only the front of the restaurant open where as the remainder is behind curtains. The front counter has been manned by a young boy, whom only operates the register and then retreats to the corner until the food comes out(I do phone pick-up). Onto the food; My favourite plate is definitely the coconut shrimp and I would easily recommend it to anyone, even if they aren’t a fan of shrimp. It’s a strong delicious flavour, and the breading gives a great texture. Definitely eat it while it’s fresh because it may become a little spongey after the optimal window. I have also ordered the general things such as the Dinner Combination Platters consisting of usual assortment of fried rice, crab rangoons, beef teriyaki, and so forth. I don’t have any particular comments regarding the quality as it’s exactly what you would expect from any other Chinese restaurant. The fried rice was a stronger hue of yellow than I was familiar with, but it tasted as good as it should. IMO it was lacking in vegetables or bits of meat you’d commonly expect. I would recommend this place to anyone if they’re looking for a quick, cheap Chinese food. I only wish the location was a little better; it’s behind a Friendly’s and in a parking lot that seems like the area doesn’t attract much activity.

If you’re looking for good Chinese food in Webster this is the place to go. Everything was new and the place was spotless. I was there at 3:30 so the place was empty except for a few lingerers from the buffet that ended at 3:00. I placed my order and spoke with the owner/manager(?) while waiting. I had some specific questions. Was the fried rice pre-cooked and kept warm in a rice-cooker like I’ve seen in other places? No-the white rice is pre-cooked and cooled(as it should be) and then cooked to order — it was delicious! Chicken wings cooked fresh — not partially cooked and then reheated; so they were fresh, juicy and crispy. I looked over the buffet to check the offerings — a great variety. She explained they don’t overload the pans — they cook smaller portions and keep re-loading the trays so everything is fresh and hot — nothing lays around for hours. The kind lady explained that some people want to «eat and run» and don’t want to wait the few extra minutes it may take to ensure they get fresh hot dishes. Their loss. Everything I ordered was delicious and this is my new home for Chinese food. Try it — you’ll love it !!

New Chinese buffet where the Yummy was, behind Friendly’s. Food was good. Decent array of selections on buffet. Hot & sour soup more hot than sour but a good hot soup. Judgemenal on my H&S soup. Nice variety of appetizers and entrees. Some hits, some misses, but for Webster I think it is a good addition. Almost hidden location probably not helping them.

Saw an ad in the local paper recently for the grand opening and thought to myself that I was just here recently and it was just opened as something else. Sure enough, I look through my reviews and realize it didn’t last long as China Delight. Not much had changed since November. Same paint, same fixtures, but some different selections. Trays were not full, but seemed to be replaced fairly quickly as they were emptied. Decent selection. Holds its own with the other buffets in the area. Prices were reasonable.
