Office Depot

Can I start off by saying take your business elsewhere. I should have read the reviews on here first.
Staff doesn’t give a care about service, feedback, and say there job is «hard».
I didn’t know selling products and making signs was hard.
Undertrained, unmotivated, and didn’t care for any of my future business.

I don’t normally feel the need to post reviews unless my experience is exceptional or absolutely terrible. In this case, the latter is true! :(My goal on entering this store was to purchase half a dozen supply items, some of which were front page flyer specials in the weekly ad. Most Office Depots keep these clearly labeled, normally at the front of the store or center aisle display… Not this store! Many of the items I was looking for had empty bins or had other products occupying their slots — very disorganized. The weekly specials, while popular and I’m sure disappear quickly, should be familiar to all employees. There were 5 employees on the floor, none of which were successful in locating products. I searched in the correct «writing instruments» section of the store for a package of Sharpies. After asking an employee for help, he concluded there were 35 in the store somewhere. I repeated this experience over scissors on the opposite side of store where it was decided they had 85 somewhere. After watching this employee I decided to take matters in my own hands. I returned to the other side of store and located the stock of Sharpies above the shelves. The employee who assisted me there acted like he wasn’t/couldn’t get the Sharpies… Until I insisted! It’s not a good sign when your customers can better serve themselves in managing your store than the hired employees.

Verbally abused by employee family member when leaving the store. I left just as it closed and an employees family member who was picking up their parent yelled profanity at me as I walked out the store. She blamed me for the store still being open. Made me uncomfortable. I go out of my way to come to this Office Depot because it’s in a nicer part of town but obviously trash is everywhere.

Very unfriendly staff… Unwilling to help or provide any customer service. I wasn’t greeted at all, when I found what l was looking for I went to look for a staff member to see if there were any other sections where the item I was looking for would be, he said no that’s all we have… So I settled with what I already chose, the cashier was texting the entire transaction. Then as I was walking out I noticed more of what I was looking for right by the exit door, when I told the guy that I found more he rudely said «oh I forgot about those». I made a new selection and went to make an exchange and the cashier again was on his phone and tried to over charge me for the new item, once I explained to him that he was overcharging me he rolled his eyes and fixed my order… Then just said bye as I walked out of the door. There is no need for terrible customer service, especially when that’s the business you’re in!

Too bad it’s dirty as all get out and the employees have ZERO enthusiasm. Went in just to drop off a UPS package and it took 10 minutes before I was able to do so (while there were two employees behind the counter). Might as well be a funeral parlor.

It’s an office supply store … with a wide selection of … drum roll please … office supplies! Nuff said!
