Clam chowder(white) was good and on the thick side. Service was great all the waitresses worked together. Whole belly clam roll was good not gritty was happy. SO had fresh eggplant parm said eggplant a little undercooked but still flavor was good. Will def come back.

those who have experienced negative results. they probably would complain anyway,. First off My wedding day was approaching and I wanted to be able to come in and prepare but they told me last minute we couldn’t because they had a big wedding and there was no time. while silently freaking out ready to cry any minute(Auntie Gail) the hostess noticed and went to talk to the manager, to our surprise they gave us a private room and we could go the night before and decorate. small wedding but they made this a spectacular event. I was so nervous and everyone was so attentive. the waitstaff was Alexis and Tony took suck care of our family(guests). I do suggest going to the restaurant and trying different selections so you know what is tastey for your party.(all of it) !!! I am forever grateful to them for making our wedding the most incredible heartfelt day ! _so attentive to our: my” needs. from start to finish

I had a delicious, generous lobster roll tonight and very good service. My spouse had a rubbery chicken pasta dish that was not so great. So maybe the lesson is in knowing what to order. The lake view is nice and it felt like we were eating at a local favorite.

I don’t understand the negative reviews. We moved here a year ago and decided to finally try Point Breeze, probably the closest restaurant to our house. Of course we pick a Saturday night, no reservations, and an wedding reception in progress. We were seated within 30 minutes on the outdoor deck in time for sunset. The view was spectacular. The waitress that came over told us she normally didn’t have our table but she was helping because our waitress was so busy. She ended up taking care of us throughout, and our waitress did appear to make sure we were taken care of. So for us the service was excellent. The food was reasonably priced and quite good. I would have preferred warm bread rather than simple sliced bread but my wife enjoyed her salad as did I with the clam chowder. She ordered the chicken parm, I had the savannah chicken. My only issue was that the huge shrimp were not flavorful. Otherwise we found our choices superior to a highly recommended Italian restaurant on Federal Hill in Providence where we ate last weekend. We also received larger portions for less money. I would recommend this place. The negatives besides the bread(which was fresh) and the bland shrimp, was that the hostesses seemed a bit confused but understandable given the event, many people with reservations, and us being a walk in. Also the décor and furnishings could use an update. Other than the view this is not a place for ambience. Especially the warped tables on the deck. If you want decent food at a good price for the area, a nice view, plenty of free parking — based on this visit I don’t think you can do much better in the area(unless you are into trendy culinary creations). Reservations would be a good idea on weekends and in peak season in summer.

Went here with my mom. Service was super slow, and the girl waiting on us seemed very spacey. Then another guy came and said he was taking over, but brought our food and NEVER came back. We both had fish and chips which was actually pretty good, and the coconut shrimp appetizer which was also tasty. We ordered salads that we never received and had to ask for, and then got coleslaw with our meal too. They were also having a wedding party that day and the music was so loud you couldn’t even hear yourself think. When we were finished we couldn’t get our check for like an hour so we finally gave up and went to the counter to pay. I would eat here again, out on the patio since its nice, and the food was good, prices a little on the high side but ok. They really need to work on the service aspect of things though… it is pretty bad!!!

We just had our wedding reception there and everything was amazing. AJ really went above and beyond for us in every way. The food was great and our guests had a fantastic time. Very affordable also. Highly recommended!!!

We hosted our daughters wedding here in August 2015. It was lovely. We met several months before the event and made preliminary plans. AJ had the perfect temperament. He made some great suggestions. During the process he answered emails promptly. The day went off without a hitch. It’s a laid back place. Not stuffy at all.

The only good thing about this place is the view if you sit outside. The place seems very dated and the food was not worth coming back for. Came here with family and had very slow service. I know it’s supposed to be relaxing, but being there for a couple of hours plus is a little much. The food wasn’t anything to recommend and everything took a long time to get. We didn’t have ketchup and had to ask for it. After about 10 minutes, we just went to another table and asked someone if we could use it. We also asked for napkins and after another 10 minutes, just went up to the hostess and got them ourselves. We didn’t even realize we were supposed to get bread while we waited for our food until we saw another group(seated after us) got bread to tide them over. Odd we had to explicitly ask for it.

We had a class reunion in the main dining room. Not an easy task for the kitchen or the wait staff, understanding and translating the orders of more than a dozen feisty, opinionated and«particular» septuagenarians. Simone(aka Cookie!) our stalwart server was a treat. She managed to get everyone’s order out of the kitchen with seeming ease and grace! Some of us might have been a bit more«challenging» than others, but this«gal» gave as good as she got! The food was tasty and warm… the views of the lake are wonderful… and we had a great time. Thank you Simone! ;)

Went on a Monday evening for my mother-in-laws belated birthday. She was craving fish and chips. We loved the atmosphere on the deck and everyone there was super nice! Unfortunately our food was just sub-par. I had the seafood pie which tasted good but was super buttery. Her fish and chips were dry with french fries you can buy frozen at wal-mart for your kids. My husband has the shrimp and scallop alfredo with penne. The sauce was good but nothing to rave about. Sorry Point Breeze, maybe we’ll have to try again some other time.

This restaurant is lovely! Beautiful scenic view set on a lake in Western MA. Best fried clams I’ve had ever, which is saying a lot since I’ve lived in NE most of my life. Had the fish and chips as well and it was excellent! The service is great and the cocktails are generous! A true find :).

A party of 6 to sit on the deck on a Thursday at 6 took over an hour then took another half hour for drinks and then didn’t get dinner until 9 pm(even though they close at 9)…sorry but I have work tomorrow. I mean the waitress was sweet, but every order was messed up, and everything poor Lonnie ordered was sold out, even though everyone else got chowder and ate it in front of him… poor Lonnie. Well let’s say this is my first and last time I will come here. this place could be great, but gladly I will not be sitting at the makeshift 6 person table where one table is square and one is round when there is a perfectly classy table right next to us…

My wife and I love the setting which has been an icon in the area for many decades. Our last visit we found the food to be just average. The coconut shrimp appetizer was delicious and was very large. However our entrées were less than desirable. My wife’s steak was fatty and tough and my whole belly clams were gritty. However we still enjoy going there and will be back again before summer’s end… Just because!

The food was pretty good, I got the French onion soup, but the service was horrible. The waitress forgot half our order and was very spacey to say the least. I don’t know if I’ll be back anytime soon because of the service was some of the worst I’ve ever seen.

I probably would have skipped this joint entirely if I had seen their lousy 2 ½ star Unilocal rating. But I had noticed a lot of advertising recently and thought I would try it. I should have trusted my fellow Unilocalers! Immediately on entering the foyer I noticed a foul smell, and I got it again when exiting. After reading the other comments, I see that I am not alone in noticing this, but the front desk women seemed unaware, , ‚ The bar, where I sat, is decorated handsomely, but has zero view, which was disappointing. The lobster roll was just OK: the claw/knuckle meat was dressed with mayo and finely diced celery. But the New England hot dog roll was not grilled with butter on a flat-top. Instead, there were parallel grill marks, and NO taste of butter whatsoever. That butter flavor is a necessary part of the«flavor profile» for this traditional dish. The lobster roll came with(Cysco) cole slaw which was OK and a neat garnish of sliced pickles. The fries that were served were absolutely the WORST I have ever been served in any restaurant, PERIOD!!! I thought a place in Rhode Island(Ch — –s) served the worst until now, but trust me, Point Breeze has them beat by a mile. These were the frozen crinkle-cut that were obviously off a Cysco truck, or maybe from BJ’s. I thought they went out of style about fifty years ago. They were completely unseasoned; a sprinkle of salt or Old Bay would have helped(but only slightly). The spectacularly POOR quality of these fries indicate all I need to know about the remainder of the menu. And as for the rest of the menu, it was obviously way too extensive. Page after page of lots of stuff that should be eliminated. Why not stick to the basic New England seafood, clam shack repertoire? After driving a distance(this place is in the middle of nowhere) who really wants to have chicken Marsala or eggplant Parm anyway in a scenic lakeside setting. Seeing all the advertising indicates to me that they are looking for more business, but I don’t think that is going to happen unless they start regarding the food as something more than an afterthought and start concentrating on real COOKING!

Went Sunday evening and although a nice looking place the food was on the expensive side and looked to me more of the big plates of pasta to impress the stomach rather than a fine dinning. I can only comment on the looks because we never did get served dinner. We got there at 5:30 which I thought would be early and it was a light crowd yet we wait 5 min before being seated. Something odd about being the only people in the line. The drink order apps order, and dinner order went smoothly yet they already had no lobster, lobster stuffing, or scallops so that left out half the menu. So nobody was able to order what they wanted. Disappointed in the shortage we got our drinks and assumed that we might get some bread to tide us over. We did not get bread and at 6:30 with no apps served were able to flag down our waitress and she offered to bring out our salads first. We left. No apps, half a beer, and still hungry we ended up at Lake Pizza because The Lobster Nook is closed Sunday and Papa Gino’s does not serve beer.

The smell of urine as you first walk in was just gross then having to wait 10 min to be seated while smelling urine. I went to the restroom which smelled much better then then lobby just to find and old man with his pants down around his angles giving himself an epi shot made me turn around and leave. Wha Wha

Worst. Experience. Ever. We made a reservation to celebrate my father’s birthday and were met with the hostess and server hashing out who would take on our table. It then took over an hour to receive our lukewarm entrees from the third server to handle our table. When we asked to speak to a manager, we were told that he was too busy to speak to us and discussed our issue with the hostess. They offered us free desserts, which we declined due to the expected wait we would have. In the end we were comped two glasses of wine and received multiple apologies from our third server of the evening… a pleasant girl, doing her best to smooth things over. This place is an inconsistent attempt at semi-fine dining and should be avoided on holiday weekends and peak nights.

The Webster area is infiltrated by greasy spoon restaurants. There are way too many dirty pizza and crappy burger joints, and getting tired of the same old we decided to give Point Breeze a try for lunch. We asked for a seat out on the deck. It doesn’t make sense for guests being seated outside to walk through a gauntlet of dirty dishes and storage area. They really need to separate paying customers from a place used by waiters. The area could use Mr. Clean to be honest. The deck area was nice and the menu filled with lots of choices. The food rated a «B» and was actually better than we expected. Our order was taken promptly, however certain things were missing. The waiter forgot to bring sweetener for my iced tea after he said he would, and then totally disappeared. What became clear is Point Breeze was woefully understaffed the day we visited. A function inside clearly overwhelmed the staff. Our lunch from beginning to end took 75 minutes. What working person can take this long a lunch break? None is the answer. Find a way to get lunch done in 45 minutes maximum and I may return. Give the entire place a cleaning, and make the entry area to the deck more acceptable. None of this is too much to ask.

First visit to Point Breeze tonight on a beautiful night so we could sit outside on the deck. The view on the deck was very nice(see photo). Food was actually very good and our waitress was very pleasant but just didn’t visit us enough. Buffalo Tenders were very good tasting just needed more Buffalo Sauce on them. My clam strips were also very tasty and came with a nice salad with delicious Italian dressing. My wife had a very nice Thanksgiving Turkey wrap. My son just chowed on another order of Buffalo Tenders. If I was giving Stars based on the above I would give it 4 Stars. However, the place was something out of Dirty Dancing. Meaning I’m sure it must have looked awesome in its heyday but now just seems old. Not dirty… Just old. Also one of my biggest concern regarding ever going back is they allow smoking on parts of the deck. For my wife and I that totally kills us ever going back. To bad because the food was so much better than I expect.
