Our third visit here within the past three months. We were really looking forward to their fish and chips, but found it to be okay, nothing special. Haddock filet was a little thin, the batter a bit heavy. Fries were excellent and the coleslaw very good. When we return next spring/summer we’ll stick to the clam fritters, N.E. clam chowder, steamers and lobster rolls — all superb. See you in Spring ’16!

Brought guests from Germany for their first time eating Lobster and we were treated like royalty! Owner let the kids hold the love lobsters, gave us free samples of chowder and little stuffed lobsters as souvenirs. Truly a memorable experience for us and our guests. Lazyman’s lobster, oysters, chowder, fried clams all with a bottle of white wine, outside on picnic tables. Perfect! Food was incredible and served with love.

What annoys me most is when people complain about their prices, seafood is expensive! No matter where you go. My boyfriend and I went here today for the first time and were superrrrrrr excited! The lady at the front was so polite explaining how the service works, you order at the counter and pay then they bring it to you. Just like a pizza place, it was so easy. She even came over a few times making sure everything was tasty. My boyfriend had the fried calamari dinner which was good, and keep in mind he’s hard to please! For the price it was piled high. I had the lobster mac and cheese which was 16, and it was delicious. The Mac and cheese itself had so much flavor, and the lobster was cooked perfectly. We also shared the clam fritters which were good too and they gave us two things of tartar sauce which isn’t very common now of days(without having to pay extra) I’ve been to tons of restaurants where the food, service, atmosphere was awful. But being someone who went to culinary school I can easily say this is one of my new favorite places. You’ve gotta try it! Keep it up lobster nook!

This is the quintessential diamond in the rough! You wouldn’t expect to find a seafood restaurant this good in Central Mass. This is simply an excellent restaurant you would find along the towns of the New England Coastline but it’s set right in Webster instead! Highly Recommended!

Well I’m sad to report that I now have to downgrade my review for this place and probably won’t be going back. I was very happy when we first went here last year. The food was fresh, tasty, and good, AND its very close to my mom’s house which was nice that we didn’t have to drive a hundred miles for good seafood. Sadly though, that is no longer the case. Service is still very polite and friendly but the food has really gone downhill. This was my first visit here this summer(I’m only in Mass for summers.) I was super excited about getting a lobster roll as this was the first place(last year) that I had found were they were actually REALLYGOOD! The roll I got this time appeared to be about the same size as last years, but with slightly less lobster. The lobster itself was just not very yummy either, bland, and tasteless. Last year it was sweet, juicy, fresh, and delicious. It was $ 16.99 for the small lobster roll, a tiny cup of coleslaw and fries so not cheap for such a little roll. My mom and her two sisters have been here a couple times now recently. The first time their food wasn’t so great but they thought maybe it was just a bad day. They went again a couple weeks ago and had the clam strips, and haddock. They actually ended up talking to the owner on their last visit because their food was so bad. Very small pieces of fish, and basically a basket of crumbs for the clam strips. They used to enjoy coming here but due to the quality going down and what seems to be some serious inconsistency, they are no longer frequenting this place, nor will I. It’s too bad, I really liked them. Unfortunately I’ll be making the drive to Georges Surf and Turf now, where at least I know the food is ALWAYS good.

Food was great — I had a cold lobster roll and some NE Clam Chowder. My only complaint is that I wish there was some way to order ahead here. I guess I could have ordered by phone but when I called them briefly, the man who answered the phone sounded almost too busy to answer a simple question about when they were open, let alone take an order. I know this is the boonies, but what about online ordering?

2 large bars and only 4 tablets. Service is very slow. I had the steamed clams… they were the dirtiest clams ive ever fiancé had the overcooked fishermans platter. They advertise $.50 wings on Sunday on their website… they dont have them but the order taker did honor the price. .$.50 each for a wing ding! We wont be back

This place is fantastic! Fresh perfectly cooked seafood! Staff is super friendly and accommodating. My mother lives on Long Island sound and said she will drive all the way here for their seafood. The clam fritters are huge! My table had whole belly clams and clam strip dinners. The crispest French fries. Now they have ice cream? Yup! Bliss!

Obsoletely the best bang for your buck! Great food, friendly service, nice setting. They can be very busy at times but worth the wait, food is fresh and cooked to order. Don’t expect fancy, tableware etc at these prices but the restaurant is neat and comfortable. Love the room upstairs with an additional bar and seating. Have been here several times and always have had a great experience, We haven’t tried it but they offer take out too!

Ok, another honest-foodie review… About a week ago, my wife and I decided to try the Lobster Nook. Decent amount of people were there, so it seemed promising. We ordered chowders, a lobster roll, seafood(fisherman’s) platter, a beer and a soda. Costing over $ 50+ We sat for 20 – 25 minutes… And I had to ask staff if why we hadn’t received our chowder, yet. She seemed mortified. The chowders: one seafood– lacking much of the seafood and not that good. The other N.E. clam, which we expected a creamy white chowder… Not so much. I can say that they were at least hot. 5 – 10 minutes later our food arrived. For a $ 13 lobster roll, it seemed small. But, the lobster meat itself was very tasty. The fisherman’s/seafood platter… Serious disappointment! The pile of French fries, that we noticed first… was the first concern. Three very small butterflied flattened fried shrimp, scallops that were cooked in oil that was way too hot(really dark fried), a few fried clams and the smallest piece of fried fish I’ve ever gotten. Please know that I had high hopes for this visit. But, knowing food(foodie) and being an avid at-home-chef… I had to share my honest review.

My mother and I went on a date and we got the fisherman’s platter to split. It came with haddock, shrimp, clams, scallops, fries, and slaw. It was a perfect amount to share between the two of us. The atmosphere was awesome and the workers were just as great as the food! You can tell they really care about their customers, I would highly recommend.

Beats the Clam Box & Ronnies by far! I’m a fan of the cold lobster roll. I just like the atmosphere better at Lobster Nook. I guess I went when it wasn’t too busy. Service was quick, especially for the winter time. I imagine there is more staff on in the busy season! I didn’t try much else, but I was certainly impressed by the cold lobster roll!

My family and I walk in and were confused on what to do. We sat down at a table near the door. After several minutes of no one coming over, we caught on and realized you have to order at the counter. By now, there are several people in front of us. So we order at the counter and they had is pay for our order right away. Then they brought us our food about 45 minutes later. By then, my family and I needed another drink, and had to get back in line and wait. So frustrating and very confusing. Either be a take out place or a restaurant. If I’m going to pay $ 18 for a lobster roll, I at least expect some service. We will not return.

we each got a cold Lobster Roll, very tasty. I would have given it 5 stars, but the wait for 45 minutes was the deal breaker on the star rating. I can understand because of the many orders. Love this place!

@ The Lobster Nook, you order from the counter and then go find a place to sit, which is fine. We were first timers there and we walked in and waited to be seated(because we didn’t know). No one greeted us to let us know so we went upstairs to sit. Then had to walk back down stairs once the waitress noticed us to order our food. The prices are pretty high but the food was fairly good. Spent over $ 65.00 for three people for two Lobster rolls and a crab cake. The crab cake was literally not edible. It was VERY peppery, and all you could see in it was corn and breading which was very flat and greasy. Again– I couldn’t eat more than two bites of it so I ended up getting some chowder which I had hoped would be on the house, but it was $ 6.00. Probably will go back to get some chowder but that’s about it!

We grabbed some take out Fried whole belly clams, and a fried seafood platter. Both were very tasty. The batter they use has a flavor to it that I have not had anywhere else. The portions were large enough to feed 2 adults and 2 children. We will be coming back. :)
