Waterfront Park And Recreation Field

I really want to give this park 5 stars because it’s well maintained and has amazing views. I just can’t get over some of the rules. For example, they split up the park in exactly half with one half being for kids only and the other for adults. What happens? You usually have maybe 5 to 10 kids playing on one side and 1,000 of everyone else on the other. Today I came and there were two games going on on the adult side. Unfair system. So for a one guy like me to practice is literally impossible. I simply can’t use the park unless I come with 20 other people and take over. Even after all the tax money I pay.
I’d give this park 5 stars if they would split up the space a bit more intelligently. It’s a beautiful place that is unusable. What a shame.

So earlier today, I had the luxury of playing a softball game on a field at this park.
To say the least, it is a softball players dream to play on this field. Me personally, I have been wanting to participate in a game on this field for over 15 years now, and today it finally happened! I couldn’t be happier and this is why:
THE VIEW… absolutely stunning during both the day and night because it has the entire NYC skyline in the background — I actually believe this park has the best view of the skyline NJ has to offer.
The field– also amazing! An extremely clean and neat turf field. The dugouts are also nice and spacious. It also has lights for nighttime games.
Next to the field is also a snack stand. The coolest part? You can hook up your IPhone and music will play from the snack stands loud speakers!
Hand down, best field I have ever played on and trust me I have been on many!
The park also has walkways and places for people to work out. It also has a football field and a baseball field as well.
If you haven’t been to this area, I suggest you do so because it is worth seeing regardless if you are playing a game or not.

Love this park.
1) Excellent place to walk, bike, run.
2) Views are excellent.
3) Parking is available.
4) Very clean.

Simply put — I love this place. The clean track mixed with with the buzz of people playing soccer plus the view of the Manhattan skyline make for a great work out session. It hasn’t been overly crowded yet, it certainly beats running on a treadmill especially during the spring evenings where there is a perfect mixture of warm and breezy.
