im not sure how this place is still in business. The food was frozen, not very good. The service was awful. It was like they were doing us a favor by taking our order. We waited almost 40 minutes. The staff was all too busy smoking, drinking, and eating. The only good thing about this place at all is the location. I won’t ever go back unless there is a change in management.

This is a cool place for a casual meal you can watch the manatees go by in the river which is beautiful and the food is really good. The prime rib was surprisingly good and the oysters and fried shrimp were excellent and fresh.
The place is right on the river and next door to the Kayak Shack so we came in after a day on the river and it was perfect. Great drinks and cold beer with good music and fresh food. Does it really get any better than that?

I just moved to this neighborhood and thought sitting on the deck and having a bucket of beer and appetizer with my husband while the kids swam across the river would be a nice afternoon day. When we finished our lunch and 5 beers (which is what is served in a bucket of beer) we decided to walk across to the beach to see the kids rather than drive. We were a total of hour before going to move the car to the park parking lot. The owners son Jason I presume from other negative reviews flags me down at the stop sign and proceeds to yell at me about taking up a parking spot for an extra hour — he was cussing and sarcastic and for no reason — even when I explained I did not know and it would not happen again — he proceeded to hold me up at the stop sign with a sarcastic «come on you didn’t know that?» I mean it I don’t care if you spent money or not (which I did not mention to him– what was he watching all patrons?) — «don’t park here and go to the beach — you park — eat and leave.» Not to mention I clearly had out of state plates so YEAH I did not know that was not o.k. My families own 3 properties here so and we had hoped to go back that evening all 9 of us… Never in all my life have I had to deal with an owner of an establishment that is so rude to his patrons… The food was sub par at best so beer would have been my only choice for going there anyway. I am very disappointed that this could have been a great place to enjoy and afternoon once in awhile and now I cannot spend another dime at that establishment and neither will any of the multiple families I have here in the gardens. It was one thing to let me know that is not appreciated and going forward I would have respected that wish… But with his disrespectful behavior and rude condescending demeanor he can kiss all that revenue good bye — what a complete jerk! and for no reason! With a jerk like that working there they should just close their doors and be done with it. Spend your money at a place that values your business and doesn’t feel entitled to it.

there are times when you go to a restaurant and you really know you should not go in. This was the case on Wednesday for a late lunch. When I reach for the door and my hands stuck to it from the grime and grease I should have realized to turn around at that time. but I chose not to much to my chagrin. the food was not good well below average and the service was not up to par. It took 15 minutes for a server to even recognize us as many servers were busy walking around with another tables but not paying any attention to us. I will definitely not go back to this restaurant again.

The food is average, but solid. The service is iffy, but this is THE best place to sit and have a beer after a day on the river.
The chicken wings are my favorite thing there. Eat some out on the patio and watch the goings on in the river below. You’ll feel your stress-​level notably drop.

This place is one of our main stops when we vacation. The wings are excellent, the view of the river is beautiful. Always great service and we will be back…

I’ve been coming here since a was little when we come to visit family and friends .
I admit there was a span of a couple years when we avoided this place due to poor service, but a few days ago we came back as we usually do and I honestly thought it was amazing.
We had a group of 8 and were seated and served promptly.
Our waiter was awesome and so accommodating to everything we asked for.
All the food was great (my favorite being the shrimp po boy)
Definitely will be coming back soon.
Don’t know where the change came from but keep it up !!!

This place has the worst service on the planet. Unbelievably awful and ridiculous.

I’m not surprised to see a review here that says «I worked here for 2 days and will never come back Not uncommon»
We arrived with 10 people of a larger group who got separated while kayaking. Since we know how DIFFICULT large groups can be (we have worked in restaurants) We said we could sit at two 4 tops and they rest could fend for themselves
Some guy (the owner I assume?) was like NOPE. We need to seat you altogether.
We assured him we were fine in smaller groups.
NOPE. It’s too hard on my wait staff
What?!! That makes no sense.
NOPE.
Ok. How about I don’t know these people and my 3 friends and I want a table?
NOPE I already know you’re together now.
WTH!!!
We walked out. Got a recommendation for another place down the road — Betsy Jacks. They sat us. They were so nice and helpful to us. The food was amazing. It was a tiny place with limited seating and we sat «whereever» WE SPENT OVER $ 300 there.
So good luck to you Upper Deck njmrods! I hope you’re forced to close your doors and someone who knows how to run a restarant buys the location.

Tried this restraint recently and won’t be back. Place is dirty and noisy. The music during the day is so loud you can’t talk. If you like non-​smoking don’t go because the smoke from outside comes inside anyway. Our bartender was to busy eating to wait on us and the food was horrid.

Great place to catch a bite after kayaking the Weeki Wachee River. Food is good & the staff is friendly & accommodating. Prices are reasonable for a Sports Bar. Wings, burgers & beer with a view: what more could you ask for?

Good food. All bar style. Not 5 star and not trying to be. Great stop for a beer or a bite. I would not make it my dinner destination but have gone here multiple times for a lunch or to eat after kayaking.

I came here after kayaking about a month ago. We ate outside on the deck facing Rogers Park. The food was expensive and subpar. The waitress didn’t seem like she wanted to be there, but from what I’ve heard this is for good cause. Wasn’t planning on going back anyway but after reading how the jerk of a manager has treated other paying customers (one of them being my sister) I can promise I’ll never come back here. I whole-​heartedly hope this business fails. I hear tell the manager is the owner’s son. Any owner willing to sacrifice the respect of their customers so this princess of a son can keep a job deserves failure. Do yourself a favor and eat some river grass. Same quality and taste, only free!

I wish it was possible to give a minus star. I know right off hand who «Jason» is. The manager that treated my party and I like absolute garbage. The waiter apologized profusely but there was no coming back from that. I was belittled and cussed (with the f bomb) with no good reason, at a dirty little hole in the ground such as this? I am shocked! I will absolutely never make this mistake again without question. I can’t wait to tell everyone I know to stay as far away from this mediocre shame of a business as they can. I would recommend a back woods nasty diner before I ever had a notion of coming back to this hell hole. Stale beer and frozen food. I felt like an idiot for being charged as much as they dared price. I feel sorry for anyone who has made such a mistake or will in the future. Never have I been so insulted in my life at a restaurant. Please, please do yourself a favor.

We had the all-​you-​can-​eat fish and shrimp on a Tuesday night special, for $ 9.95 each. All frozen. Nothing made fresh. Tragic. The shrimp were small and very deep-​fried, while the fish was some type of white fish and also quite deep fried. I’d guess the steak-​type french fries were frozen. The tartar sauce had a date on it, though it didn’t taste like anything special. The cocktail sauce was probably commercial, too.
I saw some sandwiches coming out that looked better. I didn’t see the wings, but those might be a fair bet, though I’m sure they’re frozen, as well.
We sat on the upper deck overlooking the river. Although it was outdoors, it was close to the indoor bar. Still, they allow smoking on the deck, which just about ruined my meal while I tried to eat. Yet, they do not allow dogs. Go figure!
I found an overflowing and quite disgustingly stinky ashtray on my table. So I had to get up and put it elsewhere. Be forewarned that they allow smoking here while you try to eat. Which I didn’t think was legal. Anyway.
This could be a good spot, but it could definitely use an upgrade to the food. Our service was fine, but others have complained strongly. There aren’t many competitors to this place, which is probably why it’s not quite up to par.

Smh. Let me start by informing you all that I WORKED here for 2 days and never came back! (Something they’re very familiar with when it comes to their waitresses)
First of all its dirty as hell. Looking through the kitchen I noticed one of the cooks had an open wound and was handling the food! Not even joking he walked up to the soda fountain where I was filling drinks and he scratched a gross open sore in the back of his neck and went right back to the kitchen. NOBODY washed their hands and when preparing the customers salad you get yelled at for putting on gloves because it ‘wastes too much time’ like ew I was just touching old food and empty beer bottles I’m not putting my hands in people’s food like that. Also their dog lives upstairs where extra pans and dishes are kept in the damn hallway
Also everything you read about management is not exaggerated, it’s a mom and pop restaurant and the son (manager Jason) is an asshole. He’s cursed customers out and told them to leave and not come back when they had a genuine complaint smh I can’t work at a place like that for yes. $ 2 an hour.

It’s a shame that this place is in such a great location because the service is absolutely horrendous and the management is even worse. The manager, Jason, was beyond rude and disrespectful. Food was mediocre at best. Do yourself a favor and steer clear.

Pretty view. Great drink prices. Food was ok. Krab balls were good but buffalo chicken sliders were terrible. When we told the server, they would not remove from the bill.

Is the location. Service poor at best
Ordered an absolute along with our hamburger and wings. When got our tab we were charged $ 5.50 for the drink and an extra $ 2.00. I questioned this added charge and was told by manager? Who was wearing a Popeye t-​shirt, that the drink with their usual 1oz pour would not look like much of a drink so «they» add ½ oz and call it a long pour and add $ 2.00 extra without informing the customer.
The drink didn’t even look like it was worth $ 5.50 let alone $ 7.50
The «manager» really hit a record low for rudeness when he told me to stay home and drink. Really???
The management should go back and take business 101 and try and to pass it

Awful. Won’t ever go again. Service was awful. Food was mediocre… Waited 45 minutes for our food. They forgot the 5 year old child and did apologize however, instead of having the chicken tenders out in 5 min, we waited another 20 and had to feed him food from the adult plates so he wouldn’t starve. Will never go back. Staff was rude too. I will stick to my roots in the city.

This is a great place to have a bite to eat after paddling on the river.
They are kid friendly and the food is pretty tasty. It’s very casual which is so nice after being on the water.
These are the items I highly recommend Chicken house salad is very good– light and filling, nachos supreme is a great appetizer or as a meal. The California chicken club sandwich is one of my favorites.
The only down fall, my phone doesn’t like to work in this area. AT&T
