I wanted to like this place. We were seated right away and had our drinks within minutes. That’s where the good times ended. So they had a shortage on ketchup and iced tea. I say ketchup because the wait staff were constantly swiping bottles from tables. Iced tea because I barely got two glasses before the waitress just stopped refilling it. She would check on our table but walk away when we were mid sentence. The food was not well seasoned and bland. I got the mahi sandwich and my partner got the oyster po’boy. The tarter sauce was about as flavorful as the coleslaw. The po’boy looked good and I should have gotten that. The fried green tomatoes were also very bland. No amount of hot sauce could save them. They need to season the batter. The black eyed peas were the only thing worth eating. We didn’t stick around for dessert… after they got our mixed drinks wrong and brought our table the wrong beer. We left without sharing these complaints with the staff. It was a feat to get the waitresses attention for the check. She left it on the table as she flew by. This place was underwhelming. Seemed like it would be cool with all the atmosphere and colorful drinks.

Great locations. We got there around 6 on a Saturday and we didn’t wait too long at all. Ordered garlic fries and nothing special at all. The menu is pretty limited to me. I ordered the shrimp po boy it didn’t take too long to get our food, which was good. When I got my food the bread didn’t seem fresh at all felt a little stale. As I was eating I found a mold spot. Told the the waiter and he got his manager. Now I know mold won’t hurt you, but I feel you shouldn’t send out molded bread to customers. When the manager came she was polite, but rude at the same time. She told me she didn’t think it was mold, but she won’t argue with me about it. She took my food off our order and offered me a free dessert which I politely declined. I probably won’t go back.

This beach oasis is a must do when in Central Florida. With pearl-white sands and cool breezes, you will seriously think that you have stepped into another world. This multilevel building has loads of seating and the waitstaff is friendly and efficient. However, I spent most of my time at the tiki bar, where my bartender served up some rockstar Bloody Mary’s. Now, let’s take a moment to talk about those fantastic Bloody Mary’s. Eaton’s Bloody Mary recipe is delicious, and I of course had to sample their spicy and non-spicy versions… yum and double yum! I prefer the spicier variation, but its non-spicy cousin is equally tasty. What both of these cocktails have in common is that they are loaded all sorts of extras. Onions, Olives, Pickles, and Slim Jims… Oh, My. Yes, that is right, Foodies, I said Slim Jims, something that really added a surprising kick to the drink. At one point, my friend asked me if I thought we should eat. I pointed out that the Bloody Mary’s were a meal and a drink rolled into one. The one suggestion I have for anyone hanging out on the beach is that the tiki bar service line is massive, so get there early. A better spot is the seating at the tiki bar, for you always have a cool drink in your hand and no sunburn,

There are plenty of complaints on here about wait times… This is a popular place, especially during snow bird season. If a wait bothers you either have a drink in the bar or don’t wait until you are starving to go. The food here is good. Our table had the pastrami sandwich, the chicken & waffles and the shrimp & grits. My only complaint would be that it all could be spicier. We had our meal and a couple of beers for $ 60. The service was decent and friendly, our server could have been a bit more attentive but not any different than other restaurants I’ve visited in the area. Sunsets are nice here too. We went down after dinner for a drink. The bartender was very friendly. All in all, I will be back.

Nothing exceptional… Food came out room temp after a wait of 45 minutes. Did I complain, yes, did I have them take it back, no, didn’t want to wait another 45 minutes. Our server was very nice when you could find her. This is another case of pay for the view of a lake. Will we go back, probably, but after a long wait.

Fantastic hidden gem! Don’t stress over the wait… in fact, embrace it. The sangria will more than make up for the 30 – 40 minutes wait. Shrimp & Grits is wonderful. Shrimp & Garlic pasta is delicious. Fish dip is perfect!

I’ve eaten at Eaton’s many times, but I’ve never had to wait 1 hour for my entrees, which I believe is unacceptable. I ordered the chicken and waffles, and my waffle came out burnt. When I spoke with the manager, they offered me a free appetizer the next time I come, and I felt that was less than what they could have done given the situation. Unfortunately disappointing experience given our previously good visits.

I could only give 3stars although the food and atmosphere were great. We went on a Thursday afternoon about 5:30 and were told there was a 35 minute wait. 2 hours later I approached the desk and ask what the holdup was. «We underestimated the wait time». There was a vacant table for 8 that had been vacant for over 15 minutes and I pointed it out to the manager. We were seated. How do you under estimate by an hour and a half?

Very disappointed… The wait upstairs was over an hour, so we ate downstairs at the«Steam Shack». Very disorganized, no table service, a can of soda is $ 2, and the menu is NOT the same as upstairs. Downstairs is limited to overpriced seafood $ 18 for a pound of shrimp & a few sandwiches with potato chips. The menu is at the order bar on the wall, order, pay, grab a seat & food is delivered. Not impressed. This may be great for those seeking alcohol and wearing flip-flops, not not for a nice dinner. I know to cross this place off my list for dinner. The view of the lake is very nice and you rent jet skis & paddle board, play volleyball on the or hangout and drink. There’s nothing wrong with any of those choices, but don’t plan on eating a meal. $ 73WASTED!

We were there for a gorgeous evening dinner at sunset on a Thurs nite; 45 min. wait time… boo. We had fried green tomatoes app in bar to wait it out. Very nicely done. 45min on the dot we were seated. Our server: Scott… he was EXCELLENT! I ordered citrus salmon salad: fresh and tasty, not super exciting but good. Lettuce(iceberg) wasn’t chopped up enough to eat, & clumsy to cut it in bowl. Hubby had shrimp creole which he really liked cuz it was robustly seasoned. Sunset was great over the water but there was nowhere to take a pic inside the restaurant. You could go down to bar level which is open air to take that pic but the bugs were really big and swarming around me. Rent pontoons here $ 180 for 4hrs: 7April2016 Key lime pie not too great, or not too fresh… I will pass on it next time. A little red neck, but could be fun for sunsets Stairs and ramps and little parking lots on hills… but they have parking lot shuttles sometimes

Try the bbq shrimp appetizer and ask for extra bread bc you will want to soak up the sauce. Shrimp and grits and the 3c’s Mac and cheese is delicious but quite rich. For something lighter try the Spanish catfish and sub collard greens for the rice… Yum.

Can’t imagine I didn’t leavethe review for food here. It was The Best Ever Mac &Cheese I have had since I started to go crazy ror this type of kiddo comfort food. Usually, I wouldn’t dare to order it with that price. But once I read the description then my aunt and uncle told me the love of food here. I didn’t hesitate to get a whole bowl of cheesy sticky crazy yummy baby food just for my own. So far, it is the best one by far and never got any other recipes beat it up. I even carv for it while I am writing a review right now, is that crazy?

Po boy poor — small but tasty. Veggies good. Burgers ok but pricey. This place seems to get a lot of hype BUT I just can not recommend it. This is our second visit and it is the same old, same old. In general ok — just not ok enough to recommend.

Our party of 8 arrived around 4:30 pm on a Sunday and had no wait; I would imagine that the dinner hour is more crowded. The shrimp & grits, Spanish catfish, and grilled mahi were all very tasty. The Cajun sweet fried chicken was dry. Some people thought the andouille sausage was spicy; others didn’t. The price on the 21 oz beer includes the souvenir glass. You can also order a 16 oz beer without the glass for a better price. Our server Courtney was very sweet and knowledgeable about the menu. We’ll be back.

The food here is very tasty. All of the Po Boys sandwiches are good and so is the mahi mahi sandwich. Be sure to get the cheese grits as a side dish. Be aware: The wait can be between an hour and an hour and a half on weekends. Live music at the downstairs bar.
