2016⁄03 Visit. Me and my son came here to try it out. Since he loved the Greek Festival and the food, He was dying to try this out. He wanted to try the grape leaves so We order it for the Appetizer. He wasnt a big fan of it. I thought it was a little pricey for what you got. I thought it tasted good but wasted a big fan of texture of the grape leaves. We both got a gyro. I loved mine but my son thought it was a tad spicy. it is OK because he is super sensitive about that kind of stuff. I also order the greek fries. Now this was a Big surprise to me. I didnt think it would be that good becuase I like feta but could see how the feta would stick to the fries. I was very surprsed. it how some kind of seasoned oil on the fries that was just delicious. I would def come back again. but it has to be without my son becuase he doesnt want to come back. Kids!!! So the staff and crew at this restaurant went above and beyond to make my wife’s birthday special. First off, the let me make a reservation. Next we had the best service I have seen in a very long time. Follow that with multiple visits by the owner to the table to ask if we needed anything. Then the food. Out of this world the Yianni’s special pita wrap is to die for. If you are in the area you owe it to your tastebuds to stop in and have a bite! Thanks again for a wonderful experience.

Wow what a breath of fresh air for this area. I’m from Texas and have taken good food for granted. I had almost given up but thanks to great Unilocal HELP I have. Found another jewel. From the moment I walked in and was greeted by wonderful and cheerful waitresses I knew I found a new favorite for the area. I has a Greek salad which was a great portion and really good. I also had the grilled haddock and Greek fries and the fish was cooked to perfection and the fries were AWESOME. I am stuffed but so worth it. I ordered 2 deserts to go and if they taste half as good as they look I am going to be miserable tomorrow. I highly recommend, off the beaten path but the most rewarding experiences usually are.

Excellent food, great service. The atmosphere in the dining areas could be improved, but it’s clean. The staff is always friendly and the food is fresh.

There is minimal greek food at this esrablishment. Big disappointment. Toropita was frozen in the middle, which of cousre shows its not made in house. Very little to choose from in ethnic terms. Major disappoitment.

Excellent salads and very good gyros. Very nice bar but should have a craft beer selection. Service is usually excellent. Had one bad server but don’t see her much. Desserts are fresh. Restroom accommodates both women and men.

I have eaten at Theo Yiannis a few times and honestly never had a bad meal. Their grilled Mediterranean fish is as good as I have had at restaurants 2x the price. Everything from the soups to the rice pudding are made to order and the Baklava cheesecake is amazing. The only downside is it got a little smoky when they were making wings but the owners said they are moving to a new location. Really good food.

Got take out from here the other day and loved it!!! The portions were huge, and they have some of the best food in the area. Are favorite parts of the meal were the gyro, tzatziki sauce, and Greek salad! If you are in the area give this place a try! It’s casual, but with good enough food to make for a fun date!

I eat here regularly. I always normally have the gyro platter and small Greek salad. Never disappoints. One thing I would really love to see on the menu is more Greek specialties. Gyros, spinach pie and baklava do not make for a diverse greek menu. Surprise me and add some new things to the menu.

I had the gyro and small Greek salad. It was great. The service is fast and friendly. It’s also very affordable. I think it’s one of the best if not the best place to eat in Weirton.

Theo Yianni’s is a Weirton institution, one that comes highly recommended to anyone traveling to or through the northern panhandle of West Virginia. With work taking me to the Weirton and Wheeling area on a semi-regular basis, the time finally arrived to make the trek to Theo’s and see if the reality could live up to the hype. The answer was absolute. When the name of a restaurant, or anything, really, includes the word«authentic», it had better be authentic. Don’t lie to me, okay? I get enough of that in my everyday life. Theo’s means business. Theo Yianni’s is, indeed, an Authentic Greek Restaurant. For a Greek restaurant, there is a simple litmus test: the gyro. Get the gyro right, and I mean truly right, and the rest is highly likely to be excellent. Skimp on ingredients, take shortcuts, add or subtract where such actions should not be involved, and questions arise. Leave no doubt, the gyro at Theo’s is as good as it gets. The lamb is not only perfectly seasoned and expertly prepared, it is plentiful. The pita is positively overflowing with meat before anything else could possibly be added. Fair warning: one or two napkins will not do the job. From there, the remaining components are added and the gyro turns into a beast. When ordered to go, the cool Tzatziki sauce is served is a small container that actually denotes the freshness of what you’re getting, with the homemade production date written on the lid. It doesn’t get better than that. If you want a real gyro, straight from the streets of a Grecian city and without the Americanization that seems to come with so many dishes and cuisines offered to us en masse(Olive Garden, anyone?), Theo’s is your home. For a side, go straight to the Greek Fries and don’t look back. Freshly fried, crispy and seasoned, then drizzled with olive oil and smothered with feta cheese, the Greek Fries are the ideal accompaniment to the gyro. After the gyro and the fries, I found myself glad that I failed to order dessert. There was nowhere for it to go! Theo Yianni’s is fully recommended, and a spot sure to get my business every time I am in the northern panhandle, even if it means driving a few miles out of my way. The reward is worth the investment, and my order is likely to be the same each and every time.

I ventured into Theo Yiannis with my infant daughter yesterday evening. The server invited me to sit wherever I’d like, and, to my delight, every table in the room was perfectly clean and ready to be used.(I later noticed that tables were cleaned immediately when people finished their meals and left the restaurant — no messes sit around in this place!) We chose our seat, and the server was right behind us with the highchair and took our drink order. She came right back with our drinks; this woman was on the ball. She was very thoughtful, making sure I had everything I needed to make dining out with the baby go smoothly. I cannot say enough good things about the service. We ordered the spanakopita, a bacon cheeseburger with fries, and some lemon pepper chicken wings. I know that sounds like a weird order, but we were both super hungry and it didn’t seem like too much food at the time, considering the low prices on the menu. I was pleasantly surprised to find that it was, in fact, too much food. All of the food was good, and for food that good to come in such generous portions at such low prices is nothing short of shocking. I don’t think there is a better value in Weirton. We enjoyed everything that we ordered. The spanakopita was delicious. The burger was tasty and satisfying(and, seriously, HUGE), and the chicken wings were crispy and flavorful. We’ll be heading back here next time we are in Weirton, without a doubt. Just loved it.

Stopped in here on a Wednesday afternoon. I was surprised at how big this place was and the availability of a bar there, along with a pastry case. We sat in the back room and were assigned a server right away. The menu is pretty extensive and I’m not too familiar with Greek food so I went with something familiar, the open face Gyro platter. It came with a salad. The salad was served first and it was a pretty big salad. Everything was fresh, peppers, olives, tomatoes, an assortment of greens, and feta cheese It was served with oil and vinegar. The salad was excellent. The Gyro platter was HUGE. There was so much beef on it I didn’t even end up finishing it which is a rarity for me. It was served with fries or rice pilaf(I had the rice) and 4 slices of pita bread and a large helping of some sort of cucumber dip(which was amazing). Everything was excellent. I will definitely be back, hopefully trying something else, but it will be hard not to choose this again.

Theo Yiannis is one of the best Greek Restaurants in the tri-state area. The gyros are very delicious. Seasoned nicely and very full. The skin on fries are a nice side with a gyro sandwich meal. The baklava cheese cake is to die for. I’m drooling just typing this up. lol I think the prices are very modest. Great food, taste, and quality for the price.

I thought this restaurant was great and will definitely be back! I had never been to a Greek restaurant, but the server was helpful and the menu was easy to navigate. We got an appetizer, entrée and dessert. Everything was delicious and the prices were very fair. The gyro meat is super tasty.

As far as Weirton restaurants go, this one is one of the best. It’s a clean friendly atmosphere and I have yet to be there when the owner/manager doesn’t come over and talk to me and ask me how my food was. I love that! They are all very friendly and it feels like family. The Greek salad is really good and so is everything else I’ve ever gotten. I’ve never been disappointed. However, every time, they have brought our food out before we were finished with our salads. I just don’t think they have got the ordering and timing thing quite figured out. And they don’t have any beers on draft which I hope they do soon because they have the perfect set up for! They have a fair selection of bottles. TIPS! Get the salad dressing on the side and save it to dip your fries in! It will not disappoint!

I didn’t eat here, but I did sample my husband’s meal and found it to be surprisingly delicious. I’ll definitely come back here to eat another time. The drink I ordered was good and the service was friendly and fast. The options in Weirton tend to not be the best, but this place looks like a winner. I recommend it.
