I’ve been coming to this place since I was 21(over 20 years ago) so of course I love it. Want a cold cheap beer? Stop here. Some interesting people hang out here. Most are locals. Some are folks staying at nearby hotels, some are construction/contractors doing work nearby, some are tourists stopping for a cold one in a historic building. They have just a few beers on tap. Mostly bud, coors light, miller lite, yuengling, etc The beer is cold and it will be served swiftly, and you can talk to anyone in there. They have a jukebox, a shuffle alley, and touchscreen ‘megatouch’ game and a poker game. They have 2 tvs I believe. They don’t serve much in the way of food anymore. I’ve heard they serve a bar pizza. Also beef jerky, hot bologna, pickled eggs, and hot pickles. They also offer chips, pretzels, etc in small bags. Plus candy bars and gum, etc. Weissport house also has rooms to rent upstairs. It’s hostel style with shared bathrooms and the rooms are bar-boned but it’s cheap. And safe. And you can drink as much as you want and simply walk upstairs. They serve six packs and 40’s to go. Parking is limited and it ain’t fancy but you can’t go wrong by popping in here for a beer or shot/cocktail. Or grab a sixer for your hotel room or rafting/canoeing/kayaking adventure. Tell the two main bartenders there, Shelley and Judy, that we said ‘hello’!
