The amount and quality of the food for me, isn’t really worth the money and the wait time to get seated. They only have two teppanyaki tables so unfortunately we had to wait over 30 minutes past our reservation time. The food was just average and I got maybe 1⁄8th of a cup of cold veggies, a ½ of cup of white rice 6 little chunks of steak and 6 little chunks of chicken and that was it for $ 30. The appetizer was tastier and more filling than the meal itself, but you’re going for the experience really, not the food. The service was fine.

We have to be sincere in these and all other types of reviews, later published for the general public to consume. Do I really have any deeply-seated interest discussing how my overall experience related to food intake at any given restaurant has been? Probably not, and no one else should have this type of awkward feeling either since the fundamental desire for any of us is to have a great, unbridled time full of pleasure and luxury and, of course, due to the typical limitations encountered at public places this accomplishment is far from possible. Thank God, I might as well add! So, really what is there to bring up that might, just might, get us slightly ever closer to this euphoric, nearly-divine state of candent bliss and indescribable happiness? And is there anyone /anything at all capable of such massive achievement /undertaking? Again, I have to deny myself this attempt at an ‘ulterior motive’ approach and hopefully, after barely suggesting what could have happened, stick to the ordinary and mediocre and call this endeavor«a certain, unalienating probe /foray into the world of telling people something they might either like or dislike(let’s not forget neutrality can be a sign of virtuosity or cowardice, of course), while quietly sipping a cup of joe /tea while dexterously engaged in the semi-private, learning process known as cybernetic-based acculturation(if you are like me, internet gurus have everything I do here down pat, just like a horde of wild rabbits controlling the vast world of mis/information management would do, or so they think). Getting down now to the daily-grind business dealings it is clear that Tado Steakhouse knows how to prepare food for and how to serve to their fine dining customers exceedingly well, and not by sheer coincidence but by outright application design. Does anyone else get that same idea, that these people here are the absolute great masters of their trade? If you don’t fine, I will also help get you there since I moonlight as a professional ‘be lucky and happy’ advisor – yeah right, like I have won anything in years! In any case, when it comes to having fun and games, I am the latest king of the world /the número 01 by a real long shot and to that I can cheer forever! Gee, Thanks:

Me and my wife came here to enjoy a casino, water park and a steakhouse. Check, check and check. Great food the water park is ok and the casino well is a casino. I was pleasantly surprised with the service and the food. We will be back.

Not all that. Great service though. It’s a steakhouse, so we ordered mostly steak. We ordered well over $ 500 of food that night with the party I was with. We ordered all cuts of their beef. Rib eye, veal, tenderloin, petite filet, prime rib, & porterhouse. We ordered some apps as well. The rations were too small. For the price, it was just ok. Nothing to rave about. Fogo De Chao is much better. My rib eye was still kind of tough to chew and tasteless. I was hoping it was more tender. Around the bone was very tough. I was hoping for great tasting food like 7(downtown Mpls), but barely above average. The ambiance was nice. The place is pretty small. No wonder people have a hard time getting in on busy nights. We could smell the seafood coming from next door at the Tradewinds buffet. Damn, I wanted some that.

Service was excellent, our waiter was awesome. Food was perfect. Drink prices reasonable, food quality and presentation was great. Would have been 5 stars but bar service was exceedingly slow.

I will admit, not only I am a creature of comfort but I am also mentally lazy and therefore perhaps even self-serving and dishonest when it comes to writing restaurant food /service reviews. And why, you might ask. Quite simple dear Watson, once that I come across an excellent and epicurean-level dish, the rest of the menu items I could care less about. Yeah, this causes me to barely want to glance at it and rather enjoy the prowess show in front of the waitress when I can religiously recite the correct terminology used by the venue to present /describe what has undoubtedly become my favorite executive chef’s creation. Outside of that simple act of cowardice(not willing to make the slightest attempt to consider trying something different every time I enter and partake of the magic of Tado Steakhouse), I am also guilty of another inner pleasure. This refers to never really giving off any succulent details /activities noticed and /or engaged into while tasting and eating their exact-repetition, ordered items. That way, I figure by leaving the excruciatingly /painstakingly clear remarks out everyone will be tempted to go in and check the place out by themselves; besides, when it comes to personal perceptions, satisfaction levels, etc., I draw a blank since I am no psychologist or purport to be any type of obscurity-driven influencer /manipulator. All in all, the well-achieved upscale feel, elegant décor, and meaningful historic ambiance(pleasantly dining next to this linked photo of Dakota Sioux Chief Wabasha III(Red Leaf): ) was an extraordinary feat, especially when anyone would stop to realize some of my Spanish Conquistadors actually may have endeavored to physically annihilate all Native Americans /First Nations Peoples from the face of Planet Earth.) contributes enormously to an exquisite and well-accompanied time in such a sumptuous and friendly locale. Gee, thanks for everything:

Gorgeous restaurant with skilled servers who know how to treat a customer. The food was incredible. Our least favorite was the walleye but everything else A+. Just one comment: Hello casino-goers! I know you’re casual, but when you’re paying this much for a fine dining experience, at least take off your hat.

I would give this a 5 if the prices weren’t so high. We looked foward to trying Tado. The steak was excellent, prepared perfectly, my husband said it was the best steak he has ever had. The service was wonderful as well. Menu is mostly ala carte. $ 11 Salad was a very fresh wedge, but was plain and could have used more dressing. $ 11 medium size bowl of lobster bisque soup was delicious, but $ 11? We had a coupon for a free appetizer so that helped with justifying spending this much on a dinner when one of us just had soup. The entrée came with a potato selection and very fresh bread. It’s pretty comparable to Mystic Lake steakhouse but Tado prices are much higher and Mystic Lake meals include a salad. There were a lot of empty tables and I can only assume it was because of the prices. Seen a few people reviewing the menu posted outside the entry and commenting the prices were very high. While it’s true, usually you get what you pay for, and it was definitely amazing, I can’t say we will be back without a hand pay in the casino to pay for it, a good coupon or for a very special occasion. If money is no object to you, than you will love this place! Living in the cites, we wouldn’t have to drive 1.5 hours for a good steak. When we go to the casino, we want to spend what money we have for a casino trip on gambling or entertainment, not on food.

Was really looking forward to dinner at Tado. I know in the past, the culinary staff at TI has been known for doing a very good job. I believe our diners were good, but over-priced for what was received. The Shrimp Cocktail appetizer was absolutely great. 4 jumbo shrimp cooked to perfection and presented very well. 5 stars for that — that’s one thing I know a lot about. The salads were(Wedge & House) were OK. The house salad dressing(rasp. vinegarette) someone said tasted like cough medicine. The Wedge probably could have used a better dressing or maybe more of it, didn’t have much flavor. Our steaks included Petite Filets, Striip & Ribeye. Temps ordered varied and 2 out or 4 were done correctly. One we even returned because they ordered medium and it came rare. Our server Aimee(sp) was great and very attentive. Our dinner was good, however I could have spent 1⁄3 the amount and gotten equivalent at Outback Steakhouse.

I was skeptical as we dined here tonight to celebrate a birthday. The early reviews had me more cautious than a fish in the water on opening weekend of the season. So to the point: our steaks were good. My filet was more than acceptable, my gals petite filet was to her taste, the daddios ribeye was also good. Mom had the shrimp scampi — the shrimp were huge the angel hair pasta — Meh. For sides: get the mashed. My baked potato was worse than one at Wendy’s. The daddios au gratins lacked cheesiness. The tempura appetizer was 4⁄5 stars. Strange oddities: they were out of iced tea as a beverage! They also had no birthday candles for the birthday ice cream dessert so my gal blew out the waitresses bic lighter. This place wants to be great. It’s good. It’s not awful. It’s not phenomenal. You will pay a lot of money for your dinner here. If you want or need a quiet night away from the masses at the other places to eat at TI the question you will need to answer for yourself is: how much am I willing to pay for a good dinner to have that peace and quiet knowing I will not get a great meal but a decent one with pleasant enough service?

Excellent steak. Perfectly done as ordered. Trout and salmon were delicious as well. Dessert… perfect. This restaurant has improved greatly since it opened. Don’t let early reviews stop you from giving it a try. One thing… onions. What the hell? Why would you smother a delicate fish like walleye or salmon with onions? Waiter very kindly took it back and brought me a plate with no onions. Excellent. Excellent service.

This place was nice and quiet. The atmosphere was great. There wasn’t a ton going on, but for a nice quiet evening it was perfect. Aimee, our server was kind and attentive. We ordered the filet and lobster with au gratin potatoes. Very delicious. The bread they give you is not the best but the different butters make it a lot better. I would definitely come back here, if we ever decide to stay at this casino hotel again.

We ate here a few months back but at the time there was no Unilocal review available. We had a very nice evening here while staying at the casino hotel and have wanted to put in a good word for Tado. It is a very pleasant place to be, and quite far removed from the noise, smoke and commotion of the casino. We had lobster and trout. Yes I know it is a steakhouse, but neither of us were in a big meat mood since we had a decent sized lunch that day. The fish was perfectly done and the lobster was fine. This is not Maine, but compared to other Midwestern lobster dinners this one was very good. Salads were also good and there was a decent wine list. The service was superlative. There was a very attentive manager who also was regularly circling the dining area to make sure everyone was happy. Our only complaint was the bread basket. Although touted as being fresh from a bakery(Hanisch in Red Wing) it came across as rather like you would find in a small-town supper club. Hanisch does do some things ok. But buns are not one of them. It was not inexpensive, particularly when compared to the casino’s Tradewinds Buffet.(They do have the best crab leg buffet in MNBTW). But for a special night out we enjoyed it and will be back. I only assume that as some of the kinks are worked out and they expand into their teppanyaki bar this will be a top notch destination restaurant. And next time I promise I will do the steak.

Sue CR: Service was very poor, servings were small. Staff was unprofessional. I had lobster which was tasteless, serving was very small. French onion soup tasted like it was canned soup. The steaks were good but highly over priced.

First let me set the table so to speak, my wife and I have dinner at numerous steak houses like Wolfgang Pucks Cut, Morton’s, Manny’s, Ruth Chris’ so this review is based on our other experiences. Décor was well done. We started with the tempura vegetables, very thick batter and little greasy. We would not get this again. I had the Ribeye, which was good but seemed to have no seasoning which made it very bland. My wife had the Bison filet which was very good and done just right. We will try the steak house again.

I am so sad to have to write this review because I wanted to love this place. We go to the casino often and they really needed a decent place to eat. I gave a one star rating but that is one more than they deserved. My boyfriend ordered the Porterhouse which was cooked well done(ordered medium rare) with asparagus that was cooked to complete mush. I ordered the steak and lobster combo and the lobster came chewy and way overcooked,(can you say golf ball?) the steak was blah and flavorless. The au gratin potatoes were a few potato rounds with some bacon on top, super dry and just not good at all. The mushrooms were ice cold. The lobster bisque was the only decent thing we had. The service sucked, our server brought our dinner and disappeared, not checking if everything was o.k. or we needed another drink and when we finally tracked him down and expressed our displeasure he offered to get us some grilled asparagus, really at this point we were upset and just wanted out of there but he then offered us a free dessert… wrong answer… they should have just thrown salt in our wounds! He finally took my boyfriends steak off the bill but we still had an $ 80.00 bill… really expensive! We don’t mind paying 5 star prices but you better have 5 star food to go along with it! If you want a great steak at an awesome price go to Bay side steakhouse in Redwing. I hope they are just trying to figure things out since they just opened but we won’t be back until we hear that things have changed drastically.

I tried the new steakhouse at Treasure Island last night. I came away a bit disappointed! I ordered the $ 45 Bone-in Ribeye. It came with a good salad and you get a potato option. The mashed potatoes were pretty good. I sat at the bar and when I ordered the ribeye, I asked the bartender how their medium rare was usually prepared. She said she had no idea. The steak came out pretty thin for a 20oz cut. It was cooked medium rare to medium. I was fine with that. The seasoning was good on it, however, I expect a $ 45 Signature Hereford Ribeye to melt in my mouth. Instead, it was chewy and a bit tough! I was hoping for a memorable experience, instead, it was quite forgettable and over-priced for the quality of beef! Hopefully, you have a better experience!
