Fineberg Companies

This is a review for their building on Park Drive near Fenway. Would definitely stay away if possible. The maintenance people were ok. We had our toilet handle break a few times and they always came to fix it within a few hours, and they replaced our sink faucet one time just because it looked old. However, the kitchen is ancient and falling apart. The only counter space is a crumbling cabinet with chipping paint. It’s definitely not safe to prepare food on this surface, yet when I asked if they could replace it, they told me they had over 100 kitchens to redo. The main complaint for Fineberg… ROACHES AND RATS. We were a first floor apartment and the HUGE ROACHES would come up into our apartment from the basement. These are not little guys… these things are LARGE roaches that have probably been in the building for a long, long time. They are rampant in the basement, which is fun since the laundry and TRASH is located down there. I used to bring things to throw in front of me to scare the rats away when I was forced to go into the basement. LONG story short, just avoid if you can. It’s falling apart, filled with rodents and roaches, and just not worth it. Also had a big problem with people stealing packages from the mail area.

I have never posted such a negative review before but I just called Fineberg and they really got on my nerves. If only Unilocal would allow me to give negative ratings, I definitely would.
The people who work in the management office are so rude and unhelpful. I lost three packages last week and called Fineberg this morning asking whether they can do anything about it. Their replies were nonchalant and they were unwilling to help. Is it so hard to post a notice stating that packages not for you should just be left there untouched? Last year, a lot of packages were stolen and everyone in the apartment was posting signs everywhere asking Fineberg, even calling them directly, to at least tighten security (albeit without a concierge) so that our packages would remain safe. But did they do anything about it? NO. The lady that I encountered on the phone today was impudent and when I told her my problem, the response she gave me was «People who steal are going to steal anyway, there’s nothing we can do about it.» Her response left me in dismay and her bored tone made my blood boil. Stolen packages are the least of my worries as well. The laundromat was a nightmare as the washers and dryers were constantly out of order and everyone in the apartment was complaining about it for a year before they finally fixed it.
Honestly, if you value your sanity and health, stay away! Their management is incompetent, rude and just plain useless. Get yourself an apartment someone where else for the same price you might get here! I know the company couldn’t care less about the reviews posted online, and bashing them here wouldn’t do me any good, nevertheless, I hope it serves as a warning for prospective renters.

This will be my first Unilocal review since I typically don’t like to bash companies as I know how some experiences can just be a one off type of thing.
I haven’t even moved into my apartment and already I am frustrated by the lack of organization, rudeness of the staff, and overall difficult time I’ve had moving into one of their units.
Every single person from every department is rude and unhelpful, especially in parking. There is a complete lack of organization or structure to this management company. I’ve tried to get a parking permit, which I’m paying an outrageous $ 175/​month for on top of extremely high rent for a 2 bedroom, and am treated like an enemy to the company.
I would not recommend signing a lease with this management company. My experience has been nothing but painful and frustrating so far, and I regret paying these people an astronomical amount of money to be treated like dirt.
Take your money somewhere else is my recommendation.

You people are rough. I live in a Fineberg building and have had very few issues with Fineberg workers or my building. The workers are courteous and polite to me-​probably because I am courteous and polite to them. Although the maintenance secretaries aren’t very polite, they can be a bit abrupt on the phone, but they probably take a lot of flack from everyone… tenants and management alike, but ok, still no excuse, they can be short fused.
I find work gets done in a prompt & efficient manner. Some of the workmen forget to clean up after themselves, but things do get responded to and fixed. Roaches that’s a «how you live» and «do you let the exterminator, exterminate» when they come. every time they come, issue… and do your neighbors do that too? How can you blame the landlord? He can only provide solutions. It’s up to the tenants to keep our places clean. We do live in the city after all. Did someone say rodents? In and around your building? Where do you live? Boston, Brighton, Allston-​in the city… think it’s scary awful… then maybe you should stop putting your trash ON TOP OF or NEXT TO the nice barrels with covers on them that Fineberg provides for us to try to keep them away! Try to aim for INSIDE the barrels and CLOSE the top of the barrel when you’re done! Ahhhh that may help maybe a little. Maybe they’ll go next door?
Fineberg and their crew try very hard to keep their buildings in shape and their tenants happy/​content. Maybe if instead of raging at them all the time we extended a little understanding or tried to do our part, we’d have less to be disgruntled about.
Reasonable expectations, common sense, helping your neighbor, random acts of kindness, everyone getting exterminated when it’s offered and securing you trash are all helpful in conquering some common issues that are not the landlords «fault». Fineberg Companies is not a slumlord. Look around. They are a good, responsive and respectful company that really cares about their tenants. I’ve never had an issue that hasn’t been addressed in a timely, professional and courteous manner. I’m not saying I haven’t had issues that took a while to get to the bottom of, because I have… but they do get fixed because they are persistent. Sometimes it just takes patience-​I think all the buildings are rather old. No luxury high rises in his portfolio around here. LOL!
So, although getting it through to the maintenance secretaries over the years might be a challenge sometimes depending on the day. In the end and in my experience as a Fineberg tenant I’d say they are pretty darn good and putting in an effort to be even better.
…BTW, elevator certificates of current inspections can often be found in the office. They are likely always up to date-​I doubt Fineberg would want to waste money on silly things like fines.
It also seems people think the landlord is responsible for things that they should be calling the police for, like arguing neighbors… that’s not the landlords problem.
Raising the rent by huge amounts-​yeh that is unfair and pretty cold, but then what can you do? That’s a pay or move situation. It seems he doesn’t care how long you’ve been a tenant or how good a tenant you are, it’s pretty impersonal. It seems arbitrary at best. I see that as well, but all landlords might be like that not just Fineberg Companies.
Overall, my experience with them, as I said, has been very good.

I moved to a Fineberg apartment not knowing the city and needing to move somewhere fast in February. This was the only place that had a good sized apartment for the price but the management company is horrible! They are basically slumlords out to make as much money as they can and they don’t care about the living conditions. We had college kids living in the building that held loud parties and got into fights with the cops and they didn’t do anything about it. I was also trapped in the elevator 3 times and that’s the only way you can get to the laundry and trash room. The elevators are not properly maintained and are years past their inspection date.
They also raised the rent by obscene amounts from year to year because they know they will have college kids moving in each year. They almost wouldn’t let us out of our lease a month early even though they got a new tenant who was going to move in and threatened to take legal action. They even threw out things in our apartment before we were done moving out!!! I would not recommend renting from this company at all!

If you value your sanity and health, steer clear of any Fineberg managed buildings. Other reviews have summed up the majority of their incompetencies very well so I’ll skip over the bulk of my complaints of the last 9 months.
Most recently and most concerning, their apartments are so poorly maintained they are literally falling apart. The worst is that the wood on doors and door frames is ready to break at any moment. I bent over reaching into my closet, bumped (not smacked, not careened into, just the force of bending over) the door with my hip and it SHATTERED, sending shards of wood into my side. I had a ½ inch sliver of wood embedded into my skin. EXTREMELY PAINFUL and was a huge ordeal to remove.
I called the next business day to ask how they intended to remedy the condition of this crap apartment and I was told that nothing could be done because I hadn’t called 6 months ago to file a complaint. So it’s my fault for not anticipating this, apparently.
With their track record and for all the regard they have for the tenants, I would love to know what they would have done if I had called in a time frame they deemed appropriate. Probably nothing.
DEPLORABLE. Absolutely AWFUL.

One star doesn’t begin describe Fineberg Companies. They are one of the most unhelpful, disrespectful, and low-​life companies I have ever been in contact with. If you call the company about any problem, don’t expect help for months.
I moved in June, 2014. The day I moved in, my apartment was filthy when I had written documentation from my realtor and management company that the apartment would be repainted and professionally cleaned before I showed up for my 1pm move-​in time. It was not clean so when I was receiving deliveries, beds and furniture were being delivered into a filthy apartment. Also, the day I moved into my apartment went to the laundry room and only ²⁄₄ washers and ¾ dryers were working. I have since been calling about this issue 2 to 3 times a month to Fineberg as well as the laundry company, it is now almost December, and the machines are still broken. If one has been fixed, another breaks down.
Come, July my roommate and I start seeing mice. It took about two months of phone calls to finally end the issue. We had holes in the wall in our kitchen and they were climbing in on the gas pipes. Initially they stuffed the hole with steel wool which the mice quickly maneuvered around. My roommate and I continued to cover the whole with duct tape which they ate through almost every night. Finally they sprayed insulation and plastered over the hole to finally fix the problem.
It is now late November and we are dealing with a large bed bug infestation in my bedroom. For months I had been suffering from what looked like hives and small bites. I went to the doctor 3 times concerning the issue and they consistently told me they were due to stress. My roommate, boyfriend, and I consistently checked for bugs on my mattress and could never find anything, until this past weekend we thought to check the curtain hanging behind my bed. We found hundreds of bugs on the back side of my curtain. We quickly quarantined the curtains. When we called the company they said they would contact the pest control and I asked that they would call me so I could set up a time. They said it would happen shortly. About 3 hours later I hadn’t heard from them so I called the company back and later on heard from the pest control company. (Which by the way is Absolut Pest control, also with an extremely low rating on Unilocal.) When the pest control showed up in the afternoon after bagging every piece of clothing I own, they informed me that they have been treating the building for a while and have recently treated almost 5 units in the building. 5 UNITS. When I questioned the pest control specialist about things I had read online about the bugs and infestation problems he kept telling me to not believe everything I read on the internet. Because I’m sure the government-​endoresed site I was reading was feeding me false information… as if. I was also told that the company was not legally obligated to inform me of the infestation when I moved in. They are only obligated to inform the tenant if they ask. They continued to try and blame the problem on me that there was a slight chance I had brought it into the apartment via clothing, suitcases, etc. Very unlikely also considering every piece of furniture in my room including bedding and storage were brand new when I moved in. Including the bug infester curtains.
I am now sitting with my roommate in a restaurant as I am kicked out of my apartment for treatment, leaving everything I own in the hands of a company who has consistently screwed me over.
If I can offer any advice, I would say to NEVER NEVER NEVER live in a Fineberg property. EVER. And if you currently do, REPORT EVERY PEST ISSUE. If more units called in, the more likely they will be forced to treat the entire building which is the true solution to a bed bug infestation.

These VERY LOW star reviews — ACCURATE. Should be ZERO stars. I’ve lived in their Melrose apartment building for 2.5 years, and they do AS LITTLE AS POSSIBLE. You are pretty much ignored, their staff — RUDE! They NEVER come by, they DO NOT want to hear from the tenants, they let the place get run down & dirty, they hire the worst cleaning & maintenance people, they don’t care about the illegal parking and illegal dumping taking place on our property. I could go on and on. I have helped them out so much, such as picking up the trash in the parking lot, removing mail from the entryway, wiping down the washing machines, calling in bldg. problems, such as water leaks, etc., and instead of acknowledging my helpfulness, they raise my rent. Well, I just got THE BEST news in a long time. Fineberg was FIRED, and we now have a fantastic high-​quality management company. Fineberg lost 3 properties in Melrose, and 2 properties in nearby towns — 5 total properties! I can’t understand why it took the building owners so long to realize — FINEBERG IS THE WORST!

If i could give negative 10 starts, I would do that.
Worst management ever; extremely, extremely rude staff, horrible building conditions, and extremely high prices for a surprisingly shitty building.

I initially gave 1star which deserved that rating. I’ve been living here for 1.5 year by now and I noticed multiple improvements.
The lobby was updated with new mailboxes, carpets, and wall paint. It feels brighter and cleaner. Trash thrown by thoughtless residents has been cleaned up quickly. I haven’t had any mail theft issue since last year. Also there’s maintenance request page on Fineburg Mgmt website if you need anything getting fixed or something. (Plus is that I don’t need to deal with rude employees there. Are they still there?) Response to the requests through webpage has been very prompt.
So I’ve seen positive changes so I’m changing my rating. I haven’t dealt with their employees there yet, though.
I’m just happy to see the improvements. Thanks and keep good working.

Completely awful. I tell people that I pay luxury prices for section 8 housing. A million problems from day one. Unwilling to fix household problems, an elevator that is constantly broken, common areas that are perpetually dirty, overpriced laundry services, ROACHES. SO MANY ROACHES… and I am not a dirty girl. Don’t turn on your microwave and have the kitchen light on… kills the power.
I regret the day that I moved in. I’m counting down the days until I move out. Steer clear of this slum lords.

I have been living at a building managed by the Fineberg Companies at 116 Washington Street and will be leaving in September.
I call several times each month for repairs and rodent extermination only to receive lack luster responses and sub par effort. The repair work (if it’s ever done) quickly degrades or breaks. This includes missing tiles in our bathroom, broken toilet seats, leaks in our ceiling, etc. The building is infested with mice, rats, cockroaches and other rodents and bugs. When I submit a request for a proper solution, The Fineberg Company provides me with a sticky pad which the mice get stuck to, die, and begin to rot in my apartment. I can’t imagine how many other people have to deal with this.
The building at 116 Washington Street is unclean at best, and The Fineberg Companies do not seem to make much of an effort to resolve it. I have seen their «cleaning crew» mopping with muddy water in the halls and the trash builds up in the hallways weekly. There is also pet excrement in the stairwell, solidifying an awful gutter/​garbage stench throughout the entire building.
The elevator is a death trap, I have often seen elderly couples who cannot use the stairs almost break limbs trying to open and close the out of date mechanisms on the elevators.
I live in fear, in fear of contracting unwanted sicknesses such as Hepatitis or the Ebola Virus, among other things. This is not how a human being should live.

I am with all of the previous posters. This company is absolutely horrendous, and boy, do I have a story for you!
One word: RATS
I am a 22 year old female — definitely not a tough city girl. I walked into the trash room/​basement of my Sutherland Rd. apartment and was confronted with 6 rats sitting on top of the trash barrels and all over the floor. Not to mention the 15+ rats that appear at night outside of the front of building where they store the trash, running across the sidewalks and under cars. I’ve never seen anything like this in my life!
That’s only the beginning. One night around 1am, I heard this awful gnawing/​scratching noise and heard my cat going crazy. I reluctantly go into the kitchen where I see my cat in defense mode, turn the corner, and see a HUMONGOUS RAT sitting in my kitchen. (Please note that my apartment is very clean and food is never left out, so there was no reason for the rat to be there.) There was a 1.5 — 2 inch gap between my kitchen door and the floor, so it was obvious that he had squeezed under the door (rats are able to flatten their bodies to disgusting proportions). I immediately called Fineberg and told them what was going on — they told me that I HAD TO WAIT 6 HOURS WITH A FREAKING RAT IN MY KITCHEN (WHO WAS PROBABLY DISEASED) UNTIL THEY COULD COME AND REMOVE IT. (Mind you, a few weeks prior, my power went out very early in the morning and I did not have any fuses — they had no problem coming out at 2am for that, but not for a rat in my apartment).
So, finally the maintenance guy gets to my place, and by that time, my cat has the rat cornered under my stove. The maintenance guy moves the stove and the rat runs into the bathroom, then back out and finally after another man came, they chased it out into the hallway and killed it. They concluded that the rat somehow got into the back hallway of the 3^rd floor, and the only way it could find a way out was through my abnormally large gap between my kitchen door and floor.
THIS WAS AN ABSOLUTE NIGHTMARE. My cat could have gotten bitten by the rat, or even myself or my roommate. This was a TOTAL health hazard. You best believe that I called the City of Boston Health Services the next day and complained about the atrocity that is Fineberg Management companies.
Oh, also, I’ve heard rats crawling through the walls on numerous occasions.
I, as well as my tough-​as-​nails mother called many times, and had them make many changes, such as adding more trash barrels OUTSIDE WHERE THEY SHOULD BE and putting down rat traps. The problem has lightened, but there are still rat feces outside in front of the building, so I’m assuming they are still there. I mean, I know it’s Boston and there really are rats everywhere, but not this many rats in one apartment complex and definitely not as visible!!!
This company is just absolutely terrible. The staff (especially the women) are rude and condescending. Not to mention my rent is going up $ 200 in the fall, and for what??? I CANNOT WAIT TO GET OUT OF THIS BUILDING.
NEVER RENT FROM FINEBERG MANAGEMENT — IT WILL BE THE WORST RENTAL DECISION YOU’LL MAKE IN YOUR LIFETIME.

This is the worst management company in existence.
These people are hateful, lazy, uncaring, and truly deserve fates worse than death for all their incredibly illegal activity.
If I had a genie, one of my three wishes would be for all of the Fineberg employees to be slowly lowered into an active volcano.
Their apartments are well below any modern regulations. For example, my apartment has one power outlet. In the entire apartment. It is also a two pronged outlet, which adds to the incredible inconvenience and fire hazard. I have to run kitchen appliances all the way to my main living area if I want to use them.
Speaking of electrical problems, their breakers were all built in the 1950s. No joke. You absolutely cannot run more than two electrical appliances at once. I have to unplug the fridge any time I want to use my computer. Forget about having an air conditioner in the summer.
The buildings are some of the filthiest I have ever seen. There are no words for how disgusting it all is. The laundry room no longer has a ceiling due to water damage, constant flooding, and pest issues.
Not to mention it’s full of roaches and rats.
If you call them to complain, they WILL hang up on you. They will do everything in their power to not do their jobs.
The fact that this company has UNANIMOUS 1-​star reviews says something. Be wise and do not rent from them.
I make sure to put up signs in my apartment for prospective renters of how horrible it is here. When realtors come, I tell the students with them not to stay here. I feel bad for the realtor who is just doing their job, but truly, this is ungodly.

Although the previous reviewers have worse stories to tell than I do, I still wish for Fineberg to maintain their stellar straight-​1-​star review record mainly because their staff is rude and their apartments are all overpriced.
I’ve had to talk to Gina on several occasions, generally nothing too serious (a check mix-​up which was cleared up quickly and an inquiry for terminating our lease 1 month early because I don’t want overlap with our next place), but every time she’s constantly interrupting me and saying things like «I know, it’s the same old story, everyone wants out early.» I have this to say to you Gina. Maybe you’re overworked because Fineberg’s too cheap to hire enough people to staff their office, but that’s still not my problem. That’s yours. I’ll take my business elsewhere because I just don’t give a damn and I prefer to be treated with the same respect I show other people.
As far as the apartment quality, my building also suffers from uncontrollable heat in the winter (though not as bad as others describe), the same charming plastic flooring in the kitchen I read about in another review, the same National Grid bill ambiguity which resulted in a notice from them warning they’d shut down my service if I didn’t pay my 6 month late bill (?), and radio silence when I sent a maintenance request using the online form because I smelled gas in the apartment whenever the oven was turned on. I’m sure you guys don’t want your building blowing up right? Or not?
I haven’t had pest problems and they’ve sent in exterminators regularly (although we had roaches for a few weeks when we first moved in, haven’t seen them since in 2 years). This is one of the few things they’ve done well. Also, they do a nice job shoveling the snow and salting the steps.
At the end of the day, though, they really don’t care about your needs or your living experience at all. It’s all about the bottom line. Our bathroom has tiles falling off the tub, someone sprayed expanding foam in all manners of cracks in the place and it’s both unsightly and a show of poor workmanship (what were they doing anyway?), our door locks don’t work well, some of the storm windows actually fall out of the windowsill if you open them (luckily they fall inwards, not outwards, I got hit on the head once), and I can go on and on about the painting and plastering they do and don’t do.
If you deal with an individual landlord who cares about the properties they own, they would be appalled at the shape fineberg apartments are in when they are turned over to new tenants. No self-​respecting landlord would let their properties look like this. My DIY only went so far to make this place feel reasonably nice. It’s not my job anyway.
Please, if you value being treated like a human, seek greener pastures.

There is no end to the horror that is Fineberg Companies. It would seem all the Unilocalers before me had said it all, but no. here is just a brief overview of my experience with Fineberg during a one year lease of a two bedroom apartment on Washington street in Brighton:
1. Move-​in Day: as if Sept. 1 isn’t bad enough, the apartment is visibly dirty, maintenance requests were not honored after repeated promises were made, and the shower did not work. I’m hot, I’m sweaty, I’ve been hauling boxes and furniture all day, and not a drop of water will come out of my shower. Took fineberg two days to fix it.
2. Remember those maintenance requests? We repeatedly called Fineberg (gotta love Gina, she’s a real gem) only to receive rude responses and empty promises. Light fixtures were missing, cabinets were falling off, windows and ceilings leaking, doors that had been taken off the hinges were never put back on, the toilet ran constantly and the shower was growing mold in numerous places. Maintenance would show up occasionally, unannounced at 7:30am: a very large older man with extremely limited English skills simply let himself in while I was alone, sleeping in my bed. That’s not just negligent, it’s scary. And when maintenance does show up, the Fineberg solution for everything is simply… paint. That leak? The guys came moved all my living room furniture, left saying they would be back after lunch, and then showed up three days later to paint the windows. Problem solved! Yeah. I’ve reported them to the Boston housing authority, as there are many violations of Boston code in this unit alone, not to mention other units in my building that I have seen or heard of.
3. I mentioned Gina, who seems to be in charge of billing or the like. She left my sister and I repeated, threatening, rude messages regarding rent that had been paid weeks before, or simply to badger us into re-​signing our lease. But it’s not just Gina, it’s the company as a whole: what Fineberg offers can not be called service, it’s a general, blatent disregard for common decency among human beings.
4. Full disclosure: this place was my first apartment, and I was utterly duped. We pay 1600/​month for this sh*thole, after being told repeatedly by realtors (scum of the earth, that lot) this is the best we’d find for our price range. And they’re raising the rent on the next poor tenants that move in here. Please, please don’t listen to that nonsense! There are nice places in boston, for reasonable prices, you just have to be willing to spend some time and frustration wading through the crap out there.
After experiencing all this first hand, I can say this with confidence: it’s companies like Fineberg that are what’s wrong with the American economy. Large corporations that don’t give a sh*t about people, and are just in it to milk poor schmucks for all they’re worth and then some. The best advice I can give to prospective tenants, anyone about to make a major commitment like signing a lease, is to inform yourself! Be relentless with questions regarding your tenancy and the nature of the company you are renting from a maybe that way you won’t get stuck in something like the situation I have described.

Gina lies, lies, lies something awful. Like telling you she’ll all the problems in the apt so you’ll stay another year and then after you sign the lease going ‘oops, those things aren’t our problem’. I should have seen that coming. Or after being told by your realtor that gas is included and not paying for gas for the first year of the lease suddenyl 2 months into year tow she’s signed you up for gas (in your name) without telling you and denies it because it’s very much against the law.
There are no cable outlets in the apt, you literally have to run the wire over pipes and doors (yes, pipes, exposed pipes heat the apt if you can call it heat). The bathroom is so old there is no caulk around the tub and the paint is just regular paint, so it peels constantly. The kitchen appliances are quite possibly older than I am and the kitchen isn’t ventilated at all.
We stayed because the rent was cheap, but apparently this year they got greedy and for a basement split they tried getting $ 1350. We said no way and everyone else did too until they dropped the rent $ 300 a month before move-​in date. I feel bad for the poor sucker thinking they got a deal. I’ve now learned, don’t be lazy and move the hell out of the crappy place– it’ll be worth it.

If I could give negative stars I would. This is my first management company I had ever dealt with and they pretty much ruined my trust in people. Where to begin… Bed bug infestation at 1800 comm. ave. Their entire building is infested to the point where I had talked to a kid who had to go to the doctors because he was technically being eaten alive at night by bed bugs. I lucked out and my bed was brand new and luckily they did not like the material, thank god! Also the building is kept at a searing 100 degrees or more, we would keep every single window open in the place and still be sweating just watching TV on the couch. The elevator was 5 months past inspection when we moved out, and sounded like it was going to plummet. Dealing with Fineberg on the phone was one of the most painful and anger inducing experiences of my life. I had some old hag telling me that the bed bugs were our fault and we were just rented an empty apt and they must have came in on our furniture, which was all BRAND NEW, so impossible. What that old bag didn’t bother to look up is that bed bugs nest in hardwood such as finebergs crap building. I had looked at another apt to rent before settling for that place and had kicked the wall cause the paint was falling off and heard a rat that must have been bigger then a cat scurry in the walls! If I had known what I know now when I was renting out that place I would have rather of lived in a teepee on boston commons. STAY AWAY FROM FINEBERG BUILDINGS!!!

I agree with everyone. This is the WORST management company that I have EVER rented from. The nasty ladies at Fineberg treat their tenants like PESTS to be chased away. Even if you just have an innocent question to ask, they immediately treat you as if you are at fault.
For example, my boyfriend called them to inform them that we are breaking our lease early. He had a half an hour conversation with someone named Gina or Jaina. We promptly gave written notice and received written notice in return. About one week later, our new landlord called Fineberg and talked to the same lady, Gina, who claimed that she NEVER received any written or oral notice from us about breaking the lease. She refused to admit that until my boyfriend produced evidence, i.e. the signed written response from Fineberg itself. Stupid Gina was finally silenced. Gina, Sandy, and other Fineberg ladies are either 1. stupid or 2. incompetent or 3. senile or 4. malicious or 5. all of the above.
We ended up having our new landlord call our ex-​landlords in CA to give us recommendations, even though we have always been prompt with our rent to Fineberg.
The only positive thing that Fineberg does is basic repair and maintenance within the apartment units. I suspect that they only do it because landlords have an obligation to maintain the premises in habitable condition.

I thought samia company was bad, but fineberg took the definition of horrible management company way further.
Rude property managers, the buildings & apartments are never cleaned as one person moves out and other moves in.
I’m in a fenway property. There was a giant chunk of ice in my freezer when I move in. Yes the fridges are soo old they’re not autofreeze.
The whole building kinda smells like dead rats.
