Awesome location right in the center of town; unfortunately, the baristas could be a little more friendly. Music is seriously too loud and makes reading/studying nearly impossible. Coffee is great though.

Not the best Starbucks I’ve been to. They cut corners on drinks. Americano usually made with fresh espresso shot is poured from a pitcher. Not worth the $ 4. Every time I come here there is disaster. Now the oven is broken and the heat doesn’t work(it is 28 degrees C this morning). Pete’s Coffee is just down the street. I’d go there instead.

The cashier was so rude to me, I couldn’t believe it. She couldn’t bother to explain how the rewards program works; must have had done more interesting things to do! I left without buying anything.

This has been our go to Starbucks; my daughter and I stop in 2 – 3 times a week on the way to school. We even endured the smelly issue with the building’s oil tank/burner. However, we are«defecting» to the pleasant, clean Linden St location as this place is dirty and has a bad vibe largely driven by the morning staff. The morning staff are unpleasant, rude, unorganized and humorless. They do not seem to enjoy their work, to enjoy interacting with others or to want to help with even the most basic requests, eg «we are out of milk, could I get a new container of 2%» is usually greeted with a scowl. This is all a shame and should be resolved as it denigrates the Starbucks brand.

I haven’t had as much luck with the service here. I stop here a few times a week, either in the afternoons or in the mornings. Nobody ever remembers me or my coffee order. I’ve actually had fairly rude servers as of late. Last week, a friend was in the middle of ordering and the barista taking her order(B1) stopped to discuss weekend plans with the barista making the coffees(B2). He didn’t hear my friend ordering and had to turn back and ask her«what?» since he ignored her. They eventually screwed up her iced tea, and when she asked for it sweetened, B2 told my friend that she needs to take the lid off herself so that she could pump more sweetener in. No apologies for screwing up the order, or even any sympathy at all. All B2 did was blame some imaginary person since«adding sweetener wasn’t written on the cup.» B1 was making the coffees today and didn’t call out what the orders were. So I had to guess if that was my coffee or not. There’s another barista who works there who seems like everyone is ruining her day by taking their orders. It’s a 1-star service, but the coffees are usually good and the location is great. I just wish they acted like they cared!

This Starbucks stinks. It literally stinks, as in it has an acrid garbagey smell. Very surprising, as it’s usually filled with the Wellesley hoytee toytees, who I don’t think normally stand for that kind of thing. On a slow Monday after work, I waited for my cappucino for a good quarter of an hour, reading every possible flyer to pass the time, because the two(albeit lovely) baristas had chosen to make regular coffee as ordered. Instead of pouring coffee from the urn, they were brewing one cup of coffee at a time… weird. The cap was typical Starbucks — pretty great. But the slow service plus the odor makes this is a Starbucks-to-be-avoided-if-possible.

Love this Starbucks. The staff is **great.** it’s the best part about coming here. They remember my order. They always make a point of smiling and saying hello. My drink is perfect. And they can get through a big line seriously quickly. What more can you want.

The staff here are always incredibly friendly and welcoming. They know not only the orders but the names of their regulars! They also reward and treat their loyal customers well. :)

Depends on who works there. Jenna is only barista at that location who is competent, fast and a nice gal. The other, more recent baristas take SOOO long to make drinks, I wouldn’t stop there on the way to work in the morning.

The staff in this Starbucks does a great job in making a wonderful experience out of a very narrow and long space in this location. There are always plenty of people serving customers and drinks come out quickly. The only time that they forgot my order, they rectified the mistake quickly and gave me a voucher for my next drink to be free! Now that’s good customer service!

I like Starbucks and I’m sure nothing is ever going to keep me from my Starbucks coffee. This shop is a regular stop on my morning commute, and I see no reason to change. The morning baristas are first rate. This review is about the new scones. UGG! They’re not scones! Scones are supposed to be a little dry; they’re supposed to be a little dense(a lot like me). Most importantly, they should not be greasy and sweet. Have you ever had a scone in the UK? Many Americans would never choose a real scone, let alone enjoy one. This is not to imply that the old Starbucks’ recipe was a real scone. But it was closer and they had cinnamon. The new recipe is a disaster; it’s a doughnut with a different name and a different shape. It’s moist, greasy and sugary sweet, and they don’t have cinnamon anymore. Like I said, UGG! I’m protesting, I want my cinnamon scone back. Come on Unilocalers, get loud. I need scone-loving Unilocalers to help me out! Tell Starbucks you want your old scones back. Like my profile says, sometimes a good Unilocal is your best defense. Remember the sugary, sweet«New» Coke formula? How’d that work out for them?

This is my go to Starbucks in Wellesley when I’m at work. The staff is friendly and very helpful. They remember my order every time and I have never had a bad cup of coffee from this place in over 8 months of coming here. Great place to get your coffee fix.

I once had a frappuccino there. They made it with ice cubes not crushed ice and the final result was far away from what I had before in other Starbucks. However the atmosphere is very pleasant.

i must preface this by saying i rarely go to starbucks… i’ve been driving by this starbucks every morning for the past 6 months or so, and finally decided to stop and get my fix for a pumpkin latte. service was quick, but the cashier was slightly rude to me. don’t know all the special lingo, and what i can ask for and can’t. just asked for a «grande pumpkin spiced latte» and paid. when the cashier returned my card, so asked if i wanted whipped cream. i said yes, and she rudely replied, «well if you want it, you have to ask for it, you’re not going to get it if you don’t ask for it.» i’m sorry, but the photo of the pumpkin latte has whipped cream on it. do i need to ask for the pumpkin spice sprinkled on top too? just adds to the«elitest» stereotype of starbucks. not impressed. the latte was really good, but the cranberry scone was dry and stale, not good.
