Growing up as a Texas native, my parents took us to Mexico often. Before things were ridiculously dangerous on that side of the border, my sister and I would go find our favorite street taco cart under a simple beach umbrella. It was then that I really learned what quality Mexican food was. The food is fresh and made to order, but really not as flavorful as previous reviews made it seem. I ordered an asada torta. The bread was fresh and flaky with a delicious buttery undertone. The steak was tender but really lacked the flavor I was expecting. The portion was generous– I ate half of the torta and was completely satisfied. Sadly, the flavor just wasn’t there for me. My husband had two chorizo tacos and one combination of chorizo and asada(steak). He noted that he really couldn’t tell the difference between the chorizo and the combination taco, basically bland. His lime was dry, giving up only a couple drops of juice. Each order came with a sautéed jalepeño and onions, hence the name Taqueria Jalepeños. On the brighter side, everything on the menu is cheap. Tacos run you $ 1.70, my torta was $ 6. We ordered 6 tacos, 1 torta, and two bottled waters for under $ 20. Service was good, no complaints in that department, but my search for bomb-ass authentic Mexican tacos in south Florida continues. So far, the best I’ve had is from a truck off Peirson Rd(where the housing for equestrian folk stay), but I’ll keep you posted! I felt that even though my meal was a little bland, they deserve the 4th star for freshness and customer service. We didn’t even wait 10 minutes for our food, which is great because we were starved!

By far the best Mexican food around. Ana(owner) is very friendly and makes delicious homemade Mexican food out of a food truck. I’ve watched her business grow over the years and it’s because of her great service and food. Call ahead to avoid the wait.

I was driving north on 441 near Wellington around lunchtime today when I remembered I had bookmarked this place. I headed west on 50th street and quickly found the truck on the south side of the road. I got an Asada burrito, a chorizo taco, and an al pastor taco. Definitely authentic and they don’t skimp on the cilantro. This is on the hot/spicy end of the spectrum as far as Mexican food goes, especially with their red sauce on the side which I loved. They also include cooked onions and, true to their name, jalapenos on the side as well to add even more kick. All for less than $ 10. I enjoyed everything but the burrito was definitely my favorite. Didn’t hurt that it was huge too! Comparable or even slightly better than the burrito at Tacos Al Carbon which is east on Lake Worth road and the local standard. Service was quick and the girl running the truck was friendly. Great lunch option in the Wellington area if you want some legit Mexican food. Also just an FYI, this is the same truck as the«Mexican Taco truck» that also has a Unilocal listing for 50th street in Wellington so maybe the pages can be merged.

So happy I found this place and couldn’t have done so without Unilocal. The food is absolutely authentic home style and so tasty. My carnitas taco was delicious. Will be back to try everything on the menu. There is nothing more to ask for in informal Mexican dining.

The food here is delicious, plenty and inexpensive. Definitely a bonus for living in South Florida. You can call in or wait for order. Either way it’s fast. I especially like their Burritos, Quesadillas with chicken. So yummy. We have made this place our Saturday staple.

I will have to say. I live right down the road from it. I drove by it for years and refused to get food from it. Well? I am glad I have I have stopped about a hundred times and will continue to go back. Hours are from about 9am to about 4ish wish they were there later for when I came home from work. But love the food and trust me I have had everything on the menus.

This is a great little taco stand that seems located in an odd out of the way spot, but the foo is cheap and tasty
