I’m honestly FLOORED by all the negative reviews on here… Are you KIDDING me!!! If you look at my other reviews, I have yet to comment on «other people’s» reviews… I respect everyone’s opinions and ideas but seriously!!! You’re ripping a local owned store?! Yes they are expensive but rightfully so… You get what you pay for… go back to Walmart for God’s sake… It’s amazing 90% of ALL bad reviews have something to do with $$$. Get a job people! OK I’ll stop here because that’s not why I’m writing this … I’m writing MY review… I had been there about 8 years ago or so and had a great experience… I know the owner is involved with charity groups and I met him once… like 8 years ago… I took 2 bikes in there for tune-ups and he remembered me!!! We had a nice conversation and I truly felt at home… The people that worked there were SO cool SO helpful… My bikes look and feel brand new!!! I’m not getting where all these negativity is coming from… regardless, going back to MY review, I wouldn’t go anywhere else!!! Honestly! Period! End of story!!!

On 1÷6÷2016 my mother(71), my daughter(college student) and I(47) decide to take in my daughters brand new ‘college bike’ to a local bike repair shop to have it looked at as shifting seemed ‘off’. When we walked in the repair area the manager/owner whisked by us without a word. It was then that Mike, his employee, put away the scooter he finished and asked how he could help us. I explained that we just purchased her bike from elsewhere and had a few issues. Without being able to say anything more the manager yells to Mike that he had to call the guy with the scooter as he was waiting on it. Mike continued to take our bike and put it on the holder to take a look at it. It was only about 10 seconds before the owner/manager walked by fast and even more aggressively told Mike to call the scooter client and looked at me then snapped that if I wanted him to look at it that we would have to leave it. I explained that I havent even gotten to explain the issues to Mike yet and once I did if it needed to be left that would be fine. Mike very nicely excused himself in order to call the scooter customer then returned courteously to us. Up to this time the manager/owner had yelled at Mike twice, yelled at me once, and set a bad tone. I want to add none of the other 2 employees looked up while the owner/manager yelled. Mike then put the bike on the holder to run through the gears and quickly found nothing wrong with the bike, just that we needed to find the best settings which he quickly walked us through. We then decided to buy a new bike seat which he helped us find a very nice one. It was at that time that Mike asked his manager if it would be ok if he put the seat on for us. The owner/manager then went on a tirade and belittled his employee Mike in front of all of us in the store. He snidely remarked slowly but very loudly — DIDTHEYBUYIT? Both Mike and I both replied YES and then the manager/owner then very condescendingly said ‘then YES, OFCOURSE we put it on for them. Why wouldn’t we?’ He was just being mean and bitter for no reason. Mike only asked because it seemed we were bothering him by bringing in our bike and he was clearly indicating he did not have time for Mike to mess with it. So Mikes question made sense. It was at this time by 71 year old mother spoke up and said ‘hey, that was rude to talk to your employee like that. He didn’t do anything wrong’. The owner/manager then replied he had a business to run and that Mike was new. It was then that the other employee right next to Mike whispered that in fact Mike had been there for 7 months and said ‘yeah, it must be a long training program’(with contempt). It was at this time we understood why no one looked up and everyone was afraid. I then said to the owner that he was being rude and he said ‘good’. You didn’t buy that bike here did you? I said no and that with his behavior I wouldn’t buy anything again here. He said good again. He began getting angrier and louder when his 3rd employee told him to settle down. Mike then took us to the cash register to buy the seat when he couldn’t get something to run… so he got the 2nd employee and I heard them both say that they better do this right otherwise ‘HE’ will get super angry. We could not recommend MIKE enough, we tipped him for his time, and all 3 of us hope that he leaves this company and finds somewhere to work that will treat him better. NOONE deserves this treatment — we were 1st time customers who did not expect anything but a little help — DEMANDEDNOTHING — but watched as this MAN demeaned his employees and his customers. I DONOTRECOMMENDTHISSHOP and I HOPEYOUDONOTGIVEYOURMONEYTOTHISMANWHOCLEARLYDOESNOTVALUEPEOPLE!

I had a great experience while purchasing, but once the purchase was made, any bike problem was my problem. Brand new $ 300 bike, flat tire after wife rode it for one mile in gated community. Called and guy said probably ran over something. Since there is a bike store closer, took it to them, and they said the tube was pinched when put together, and wasn’t punctured by anything she ran over. Rode the bike a second time, flat tire on the other wheel. Took to same place, Bicycle World, and they said it was cut by the inside again, nothing punctured through the outer tire. The fact that I called Wheels of Wellington and they blew me off like they did, I could never recommend or go back for another bike purchase. I would definitely go to Bicycle World, way better selection and service.

My boyfriend was trying to do something nice for me and my ailing 10 year old bike and promised to drop it off here to get the wheels fixed. Once there he called and asked if I just wanted a new bike instead. I really wasn’t in the position to be spending new bike price tags so said just to have old bessy cleaned up with new spokes. A week down the road when we finally pick it up, I am shocked to discover a fee of $ 560 for my old bike repair!!! My bike was $ 500TEN years ago! I am livid that nobody discussed the price or they would even think an old bike should cost this much. Don’t get swindled by these guys and go to somewhere honest and trustworthy.

As much as I love to patronize local shops I simply can’t do it if they are overpriced and difficult to work with. I’ve tried to buy bikes here for kids and family five times over the past decade. Each time the owner hasn’t even moved on pricing and other shops have gotten the business. I’d use them for repairs but if you’re going to buy a bike go elsewhere.

From the time I walked in the door, I received POOR service. I wasn’t asked if I needed any assistance until after about 10 minutes. All the bikes are extremely overpriced, and to make my anxiety worse — one of the worker bee employees(not the owner or asst manager) bumped into me, did not even apologize or say excuse me; it took my husband to tell him«Hey man, you just bumped into my wife can you at least say excuse me or something?» He did respond with«Oh sorry.» Absolutely insincere. From that moment on, I no longer felt like a welcomed customer but more like a burden. To absolutely honest, I don’t think I will ever be returning to Wheels of Wellington. Customer service at any business is crucial in my mind, and if you have goons running it… Chances are, it’s not going to thrive for very long. Good luck WoW.

Wonderful bike shop! I went for a light kit last week and went back yesterday for a road bike. Extremely knowledgable, friendly and very fair prices. I left with my new bike feeling comfortable and confident. Thank you Stan and Justin! Today finds me talking about my new bike and recommending WOW!

So happy to see places like this still exist. Good, fair prices and friendly. I went in there in need of new tires and ended up looking at some bikes too. Prices on bikes are good too.

What a great bike shop! Stan and Justin go out their way to help their customers. I visited them to get help selecting a folding bike for my wife’s birthday as I was overwhelmed by the selection available over the net. Justin quickly helped me narrow my search and told me he could have the bike by the weekend. Since i did not dare buy the bike without my wife trying it first, Stan called a friend who owned a bike shop in Palm Beach and arranged for a test drive. We both loved it and decided to buy 2 from WOW. I researched pricing and bike reviews before making my purchase and found their price for this well-reviewed specialty item was quite reasonable. And, with our professionally setup bikes we also bought future service with a smile. Who would go to a big box or chain when you can do business with a super-service shop like this?

This a small shop that does not have a lot of room for bikes. They only have a select number of bikes available to see. With that said I want to say that I really like this shop. I have purchased several bikes here mostly because it discounts the bikes, even new release bikes. Other shops sell at retail and that drives me crazy. The owner and staff are nice and will explain and talk to you about any bike your interested in.

I ordered a bike rack for 2″ trailer hitch and the lock pin to keep it attached to the hitch. They ordered both I guess while I was there. They called 4 days later to say the order was in. I stopped by to pick up and the only item there was the lock pin. They told me they must have forgotten to order the bike rack. Huh??? So they order the bike rack and I come back 4 days later after they call me to tell me it has arrived. I show up, the bike rack is ready, but they tell me they ordered the wrong locking pin for the hitch. So I take the rack home and they say the locking pin should be here in two days. I give them a week. Just called and they can’t figure out where the locking pin is. They called back and said there was a miscommunication and the pin was not ordered. I need to wait another 5 days until it arrives. WTFO! This has to be the most disorganized business I have ever dealt with. They are also behind the times when it comes to business technology. They still use hand written order forms. Go elsewhere!
